About Puck you guys missed the first reveal he was in that gem. When Subaru fights Garfiel and he turns to a big cat, you didn't wonder how could Subaru cancel that transformation. He hits Garfiel in the arm with the gem that has Puck inside. So it's obvious Puck cancelled Garfiels big cat mode. You can hear Puck's voice too in that scene.
He didn't only canceled transformation, he mana-drained Garf into emptiness and half-dead state, which is the literally only reason why others managed to at least somehow injure him. It could be a problem if it was Garf in normal conditions, because even hundred of Subarus and Patrasches wouldn't be able to even scratch him
There's a bit of a mistranslation with the Roswaal/Ram scene. It isn't that he was directly involved in destroying Ram's village, but rather that he was "responsible" because he knew it would happen and did nothing to stop it. His book told him that he needed to let it happen so he could take Rem and Ram into his care. Ram knows this and holds him responsible for not saving her people when he could have.

Not properly shown in anime, but Garfiel being able to leave was foreshadowed from the beginning.
Remember how the barrier put those that try to cross it to sleep? Well in the novels, one of the first loops were Subaru is given permission to leave Sanctuary, Ryuzu acommpanies him but leaves when she begins to feel sleepy. In another loop Garfiel goes but never feels sleepy. This is how Subaru figured out Garfiel could leave on his own
-Garfiel has a half half beast faher and a human mom as he explained so that makes him 1/4 beast and 3/4 human the barrier only applies to equal amount of mixed blood so 50/50
-the villagers all know Petra has a little crush on Subaru so they’re telling him to make a good impression when he arrives which is probably just their way of showing their care about Petra, one of their village kids

Lmao, Rooswaal's insults are nothing compared to Echidna's. Emilia just brushed them off..like anyway... Love how it took him by surprise.
I wouldn't put too much thought into the Garfiel/Frederica thing. His beast form just happens to be stronger than hers despite both being 1/4 beastman. The downside is that Garfiel loses control in that form. The anime doesn't really go into this but it's a form he goes into when he feels he has no choice but to kill someone. If you noticed, the only times he's killed was after he went into that form because truthfully he doesn't want to kill anybody so he does it unconsciously. It's why Subaru said "If you want to stop me, do it with your own hands. Don't wuss out and hide behind your blood, you spineless coward!" in episode 16. I believe this is an important detail to remember down the line due to future events.
And here's the promise that Roswaal and Ram had that was hinted to back in episode 11. Roswaal had promised her in exchange for her service he would offer himself body and soul if he ever failed to follow the Gospel and hit a dead-end. He would have lost all meaning to life and just be a former shell of himself. Ram is saying fuck that here and refusing to claim him in a lesser state. Funny when you think about it, it's almost the same way how Rem refused Subaru's proposal to run away together because it would mean claiming a lesser Subaru. These Oni sisters are greedy.
Small correction is that he can control it. He chooses not to control it in order to kill someone since his heart finds it too difficult to
i’m pretty sure garf is stronger cuz he’s been training everyday, while on the other hand, frederica chose to focus on practicing being a maid instead of her fighting skills! But their beast forms differ in strength cuz they both have different beast blood

@@bryangarcia5207 i think i deleted my comment by accident or something but this is said in the novel. Frederica would’ve been pretty strong if she kept honing her fighting skills, but instead she chose to focus on her skills as a maid. She says that garfiel is the one who imitates her, not the other way around

Not well explained in the anime but here we go.
Garfiel mother was captured by beastmen bandits and forcfuly made their concubine. The father of Frederica was one of them. Making Frederica 1/4 beastman and 3/4 human.
Then that group got attacked by another group of bandits. It seems this time however, the new bandits did know c was for consent as Garfiels mother went out of Sanctuary to look for Garfiels father. Garfiels dad is also half beastman half human. So again 1/4 beastman and 3/4 human.
Which is why Garfiel said his mom had bad luck( the bad bandits) and bad taste in men(the good bandit[at least in regards to consent, could be a thief still or a gentleman thief that steals only from thiefs])

Roswaal doesn't know that Subaru has to die for the world to reset, otherwise he'd be getting rid of him left and right all the time 😅 But he thinks that Subaru will be unable to save the mansion and forced to reset.
The crystal with Puck that Ram got was the same one Subaru used against Garfiel. It was Puck that absorbed his mana and undid his beast transformation. I think it's originally Frederica's stone, too.
I knew Puck would be back somehow, someway. Miss Morgan's wishes were answered

Remember guys, Roswaal is not in full control of his life here. He lacks a lot of agency. He obsessively follows his tomb of wisdom, given to him by echidna, to what he believes is a happy future where he’ll be able to reunite with her. He said this episode, that he’s making it snow, simply because the book instructed him to do so. And the snow attracts the rabbits. There’s greater power stuff going on and Roswaal is chained by his own desires to a greater fate that he believes will lead to a future he desires. Subaru is against folllowimg any kind of fate, especially if it involves sacrifice and pain towards those he loves
Garfield's father is mixed blood and human mother... Half + human = 1/4 beast (at least thinking his mixed blood dad is half)
It was not mentioned in the anime... But Garfield's mom becoming a mother was not exactly what we could call consensual... Sooo... Not exactly that she has a type...
It said bad luck and bad taste in men.
From the novels it seems the first time it was not consensual.
The second time it was which is why she went to look for Garfiels father and not Frederica's father

Miss Dani is correct, Roswell, and the Witches are causing havoc in their grand nefarious schemes. I wonder if everything between them will come to a head this season.
The first half of season 2 is my most favorite part of Re:Zero while the second part is my least favorite part of the anime so far. Because watching the second part makes me feel like the anime staff hadn't even read the full arc in the novel when animating S2P1 because of the key foreshadowings left out that are huge in P2 e.g. Garf being able to leave the sanctuary. Part 2 also suffers from heavy mistranslation at times e.g. Roswaal saying he destroyed Ram's village or the Hector fight classifying him as a demon when he's just a male witch. There's the whole drama with Betty too that's long and arduous to listen to with just a single piece of context. All these make the ending of the anime feel rushed and confusing
