I love his plays. he is so brilliant and informed and so contemporary when dealing with such a traditional form the theathre is. such an witty guy :) fantastic sense of humor.
He's a real artist. He's brilliant.
It take his point about how he really doesn't think about theory when he's writing. I show Shakespeare in Love every semester (Stoppard co-author) because it's the only work which shows Shakespeare as a dramatist, not as a college professor planting Symbols and Theories to test hapless students on someday.
I don't know what I'm talking about either.
Every-time I read Stoppard, I feel like an idiot. He's way to clever.
