"Isn't the prettiest embroidery," she says about something absolutely stunning. You are so talented, and such an inspiration!
The way the skirt is tied reminds me very much of Japanese hakama. It's fascinating how different places and cultures can find similar solutions. It's a wonderful costume, the colour-scheme is gorgeous as is the silhouette.
Oh my god, this reminds me of Claire Fraser's dress in Outlander! Love it! ❤️
Absolutely beautiful! I can see why you liked the jacket. it is amazing. heck I could see it being warn today with some jeans... just brilliant!
I'd actually love to see some of these pieces styled in a "modern" outfit
nicholemonade I
everythingmusicgirl I got myself a similar looking jacket with ruffled sleeves and bottom. It's not laced, it's buttoned, but it does have adjustable ribbons on the sides. I've mostly used it with slacks and a line skirts for presentations, but I will definitely try it with jeans to see how it will look like :)
Obsessed!!!
this is AMAZING! and the first thing I thought was "hey, this looks like the dresses from outlander". I love outlander
This was a joy to watch, and I immediately thought of "Outlander" when I originally saw you in this ensemble. Your talent and attention to detail always blows me away.
Looking at those shots outside, and I realize I recognize them somewhere-- my hometown! Great to see someone so creative near me
You always seem to find the perfect spot to film your beautiful costumes. I can't wait for your next one.
I love this dress. it looks amazing on you, and the pop of color looks beautiful. I hope to see more of this in you future videos and projects.
Your stay for this particular outfit is probably one of the nicer ones I've seen. The fabric choice is absolutely exquisite. Great choice.
I appreciate the beauty you created with solid color fabrics. In this period, cheap calico prints like Indian Chintz were SUPER popular, to the point that the import of them was banned in Britain and France (but people still wore them). It's tempting to use lots of block print fabrics like that in this sort of outfit, but even simple solids look great!
You are so talented and beautiful! Never downplay your work, it is so much more than many of us are able to do!
Oh my goodness, Ms. Angela. Amazing! You inspire me.
That embroidery is amazing!
I check this channel every single day, always hoping, wishing... but no, never a video comes. Yet I keep punishing myself, checking, hoping... sigh... This channel was the best thing on You Tube.
As always, such a stunning job. Well done! I especially love the stomacher and the frills at the cuffs. Love these spotlight videos, because it's so cool to see all the layers of an outfit come together.
Beautiful~! I've been going to NY RenFest every year, and because the cosutmes sold there are very expensive, I started making my own dresses (with mom's help, in my case LOL). Well, I've learned that if i don't watch myself, I can spend just as much money on the materials for making the dress, as I would have spent on buying the finished product, but I love the fact that it fits me personally to perfection, and that I can rearrange certain things to add personal touch when making your own dresses. You're very talented, and you are as beautiful as the dresses you make. Thank you for sharing, and keep up the good work~!
This is one of my favorite videos (educational too!) because it shows all of the layers. I finally know how to pronounce some of the under clothing, lol. I can't imagine the time, patience and talent this would take to make. You are amazing!
*swoon* Absolutely beautiful. Fit and drape. Fabrics. Authenticity, and details. More of everything I love costuming for.
I love seeing your costumes but I especially love watching you make them. It fits you beautifully.
I miss your videos :( I love watching and listening to your videos when i sew, i make complexity different items to you but I take so much inspiration from your work and seeing the fabrics you use has pushed me to explore in my creations, i also really like your voice :) please make more soon as i miss everything you do!!
I was looking forward to seeing this video for quite a while! I really adore your patience for things like embroidery or hand sewing loads of hems
You are incredible. The entire ensemble is just beautiful. I think the embroidered stay looks very period. Bravo!
I wish I was an eccentric billionaire who could just higher someone to make me historic fashion!
*hire but yes, totally!
Stettafire 🤦♀️ yes...hire

I just love seeing your designs come to life. Very nicely done Angela.
As much as I wish we could have seen the making of this dress, this was a great video and I really enjoyed it!
Especially the touch of your grandmothers brooch!
absolutely stunning. All of your dresses are beautiful, great job
By far my favorite costume you have done, just gorgeous
I love this soo much! Stays are some of my favorite bodice sillhouettes and that purple fabric is just wonderful. The whole outfit looks lovely.
This is stunning! It amazes me how many layers women used to wear

I'd love more of these videos. I absolutely love watching you progress and finish a prodject it would be amazing to see them all like this afterward.
Another fantastic creation! Beautifully done! You are such an inspiration.....thank you for sharing with us! Keep up the good work, I love watching your videos!
The 1730-1780's is my favourite time period all around the world, also seeing you being influenced by Outlander makes my heart happy 😊
Ohmhaygadd 😍 😍 I've been like forever researching for a dress in 18th that I can make and this dress caught my eye. It's absolutely stunning. I also love those embroidery you have made. All in all I love it all. ❤️
Beautiful work. So interesting to see the whole process, foundation garments, how the different pieces are worn and the completed look. Wonderful and thank you.
This is such a beautiful project! Awesome work. 😆
Love watching all of your videos. Very inspirational, very amusing and amazing like you. Missing that kind of dress that I all of the people use to wear in Romantic period.
I am just dumbfounded how one person can possess so much talent! Wow, girl! Your costume is beyond impressive and looks amazing on you.
Oh this is so, so pretty!! And how awesome you could use all stash fabric for this! I bought a pattern recently very similar to this and this makes me want to make it even more!
And you’re absolutely right, even “simple” dresses of the time are a lot of work!! Love it!
Thank you soooooo much for your project. I looked for that kind of cloth for Renaissance festival, it was difficult to find. But thanks to you. You inspired me. Love your videos.
You should be so proud....what beautiful work. Your needlework on the stomacher was SO pretty
I wish there are more people like you in the world. I love how you you inspire me and my friends also I love that you take inspiration from history. I love you, my favorite videos are fabric hual said and weekly progress log.
words cannot even begin to describe your level of talent and artistry, you are a fashion god
Everything about this video is beautiful, the embroidery, the clothing design and technical execution, and you literally look a porcelain doll you are so beautiful!
This project is stunning by its simplicity which I really enjoy ♥ I love this era and would love to wear an undress costume at an event of some sort.. maybe one day this dream will come true!! But anyway you can be proud of this project Angela ♥ (special note for the embroidered stomacher, I remember your instagram posts about it :'D turned out so well)
Yeeeeeeees!!! I missed your videos so much. But the wait was totally worth it, I really love your work
dammit, you're so talented!!!
Wow! beautiful and very accurate silhouette for the era. The only thing I would add would be one of those adorable bonnets.
Always such pretty projects. I recently re-discovered your channel and I'm loving it.
this has to be on my top 5 favourites of yours. something gives it a briar rose / sleeping beauty vibe and its adorable
What a splendid outfit. You've outdone yourself yet again
you are so incredibly talented! and your face and skin tone is just perfectly stunning for the type of work you do!
I immediately thought of Outlander when I saw the thumbnail. This was an incredible piece, truly amazing.
A very pleasant ensemble. I like how well the scarf and the mitts work together and complement rest of the outfit.
the whole outfit is very Outlander style. it really reminds me of Claire first dress when she is back in time.
great job on the stomcher and the needle work is amazing !!! .
This is autumnal witchy heaven. such an evocative piece! you are brilliant!
I love it! The jacket is gorgeous and the skirt moves so well!
This is gorgeous! I'm so in love with your work and these videos in particular
I've seen a couple of your videos, you do amazing work with these costumes! Absolutely beautiful!
I vote for more videos like that, so gorgeous, sooooo beautiful, I love your work, your discipline... this is amazing...
Your work is what made me finally decide that I am going to be a costume designer
I have recently subscribed to you, I am so glad I did. Really liking this, absolutely wonderful, to think all those years ago those ladies wore all those layers (today we wear so very little in comparison) I adore clothes from centuries past, (if only those clothes could talk, the things they could tell about, wow) You are so incredibly talented in what you make, I can see you have a real passion for what you research & make. XX
This is very nice. And I love the embroidery that you did. Very well done.
I've been waiting for you to do something Outlander, and this is so gorgeous! I especially like your great grandmother's brooch. X
You are AMAZING! I can see why you liked the jacket, I liked the mitts and shawl!
You are absolutely amazing and you're embroidered work is just beautiful
Who thinks of Poldark when watching this video?Absolutely gorgeous work!
I'm an impatient seamstress and generally just suck at sewing. I would seriously pay you to make a jacket like this to fit me. I have made an entire 18th century costume, but am too scared to attempt a jacket as I've made sleeves in the past and they never turn out right. One always ends up too tight or shorter than the other... you have done an amazing job on this jacket! Seriously. It's just perfect!
Wow! It is beautiful and I can really see that you put a lot of work into it. Great job!
I have been learning so many designing techniques from you that they didn't teach in my fashion courses. Your work is amazing!
This is such a gorgeous piece! I'd live in those kinds of clothes with tons of skirts if I could make them like that!
I love this! So simple, yet so gorgeous.
Good job!
Your dress is gorgeous! You did a fantastic job! Love your channel.
I think this may be in my top 3 of the costumes you have shown! Love it :D
Beautiful! So happy I stumbled across this video, I think I'll really enjoy your channel.
I really love this outfit. I love the format too.
omg i'm absolutely loving seeing this costume and it's so beautiful :) keep up the good work!
I adore the texture of this ensemble. I want one!
And here I am sitting in a tshirt, undies, and my robe. Lol. This is beautiful, as always. Great work!!
Such a gorgeous outfit! I can't believe anyone would thumbs down it. Maybe because you didn't use all natural materials for the time or some such nonsense! I think this turned out wonderful and it becomes you very much!
This is absolutely breathtaking.
Whoamygoodness, layers!!! Really impressive work!
Great job! ❤❤❤ I love watching your videos! I love sewing, but I have 2 little babies to take care of right now, but hopefully I'll get back to it soon!
i need your skin care routine and maybe a makeup tutorial too! your skin is absolutely gorgeous
Probably my favorite.
Beautiful. The embroidery is fantastic.
I'm crying this is so beautiful!
I wish fashion today was still like this it is so classic and beautiful.
Very very nice! Really liked seeing you wear it in the forest
