- A Clearwater woman was startled to hear a loud crash overnight, but she was even more surprised when she saw the culprit: A 10-foot alligator that had crashed its way into her kitchen.
It was around 3:30 a.m. when Mary Wischhusen had gotten up to go to the bathroom. That’s when she came face to face with the intruder.
The alligator had apparently smashed through her floor-to-ceiling windows, then thrashed its way around her condo, knocking over furniture and damaging her walls.

Here in Goa, India, my family members freak out whenever they see a large gecko on the wall - we have plenty of those here, and while not exactly cute, they're basically harmless creatures.
So I showed this video to my family. They have now made peace with the geckos.
Gecko wont do a thing, besides they eats worms and mosquitos.

We have a large group in our garden - they seem pretty happy over there and not interested at all to sneak inside.The type we have are known to invade homes, but ours are quite settled in the garden, so I wonder if those lizards do it only if they have no other "normal" place to live due to human infrastructure.

Florida alligators aren’t nearly as big or aggressive as Nile or Australian crocodiles but an 8-10 foot gator can wreak havoc.
So relieved that this lady doesn’t have dogs or cats. The fact that her house has some sort of accessibility that allows such a large animal to get into her kitchen is beyond negligent.
There actually are crocodiles in Florida, but they are limited to the extreme south of the state and usually not found in heavily populated areas.
Its the way some apartments in FL are. I live in Florida and have an extremely low (almost ground level) window in my apartment bedroom.
