Bharat Ratna kishore kumar. The real Indian dinamite of sur & aawaaz. Music composed by rightly said by someone, right hand of pancham da one of the best saxophone player Manohari Singh and big violin player of same group Basu da(now both of them no more). So musician is Basu-Manohari.
Basu Chakraborty - primarily chelo player but yes used to conduct/compose the string sections. Manohari Singh plays the flute here and was expert in that.

Thanks for talking about Basu-Manohari duo, most of us think its only pancham's genius, his navratna has equal contribution to this. My maternal grandfather comes from koumilla (now in bangladesh, but part of tripura princely state), and sd burman singing was a regular feature in evening get togathers of few families, my grandfather had fond memories of young sachindev singing

It's RD's music...no doubt about it.With all the due respect to great musicians Basu and Monohari, if they were so much talented then they would have been famous like Laxmi-Pyare or Kalyanji-Anandji. RD was very generous to help his assistants without claiming any name for him.He even played Mouth Organ for LP in "Dosti".RD was truly great.

Bro, I think you have a very poor understanding of the difference between a music composer and musicians ...Our Pancham da (R.D.) was a composer and Basu da(Celist)-Manohari saab(saxophonist) were musicians (instrumentalist)....but at times musicians can be composers that Basu-Manohari was... Do u know Stephen Devassahi, Keba Jeremiah, Surojit Chatterjee ..they make what AR-Rahaman is...it was the same

One of the lesser heard songs,but no lesser nevertheless.Kishore had this unique quality,which is that he could mesmerise in any type of notes. He had a dominating type of voice which was,at the same time, sweet and soothing.Whatever the credits say,this song has a stamp of RD.
