BTW One of those vent caps on the roof of the Paradigm (I think the black one) is just for solar install, it runs from the roof the the belly storage area just for running solar pv wires :)

I will have to investigate that i’ve passed the point of no return on this specific install, but I saw another vent tube coming up from the black tank that was headed towards that direction. My instinct says it’s still a black tank, but I would like to believe that you’re correct because that would make things simpler in the future. Thank you for the comment.
Just thinking more there already is existing solar board on the roof. The only reason for having another channel would be satellite or something or something, but typically those are under a different kind of cover, but then again every RV manufacturer might do things different.
@@sotasolar It's the reason it's black verses the two white ones :) It's one of the 100 customer driven features of an alliance rv, you can see it in their pdf at their home page.
I know you are done with this one but all Alliance rv's have it, if you look in the belly it will be a black pvc pipe coming down from the ceiling going nowhere :) Just in case you do another Alliance product.

@sotasolar at 2:55 in the center of the frame you'll see a black pipe that just ends. That's the pre-run pipe just for roof stuff. I'm really enjoying your channel, lots of great ideas here.

Not a bad idea, taking delivery of some items would be easier. But with the truck I can plow the pavement as well. I’m watching auctions for both.
Skid Steer with trailer mover, snow bucket, forks, snow blower etc. The attachments at limitless.

Great video my friend! So cool to see you're using that Dihool breaker switch. I just discovered those around Christmas and love them as well also the mini din rail setup and box. I have started using the mini din rail breakers as well. They come in AC and DC. Great job on your setup and I agree on paralleling the Victron Multis.
I've gone to 48 volt systems now whenever i can. So much easier to work with. Let me know if you want info on 48 colt step down converters, it took me forever to find a good source that had higher current output. Thanks again!
Biggest issue with 48 is no 2x120 on the multi, that I’m aware of. Yes please share your favorite 48v step down converter!

@@2hotscottpro I use Rich Solar and EG4 systems. They are typically the LV6548s and the EG4 6000 EX all in ones. The Chargeverter enables you to utilize power form 15/20/30 amp sources as well. Really powerful systems but the interfaces are definitely not in the same league as Victron.
One that is in the same league is EcoFlow and the Power Kits along with the Delta Pro Ultras are really compelling as well.
The black vent is the solar channel, I have a 2023 340 and mine terminates in the basement.

Could you talk more about limitations of input current for dual inverters? So dual 3000 2x120V are limited to 19A min. If you have 15A input, would you not run in parallel? How does that work and what are the downsides? Could you run two non-2x120 regular inverters (even say 5000VA) in a split phase system. Would these double in the input current limit, or would you be able to run at 10A (3000VA) or 14A (5000VA)? If you run split phase, would you ALWAYS? need to give it split phase power, even for those 15A/30A circuits? This would require autotransformer on the input. How hard is it to reconfigure system to work with split phase vs parallel? Is it a simple button in CerboGX control panel or do you have to dig into software and reconfigure?
Hello, I have a question about the breaker that you installed after Victron Energy Lynx Power In. I’m just asking, does it make a different if batteries cables go to the top or bottom of this type of breaker?
Not that I’m aware because power flows both ways and must protect both ways.

I have the equipment and parts just not much demand. We might be doing one soon. Battery prices have come down so much , the advantage is less and less.

Great info and install! I like the din rail splice connectors for the AC. Question, do you have any performance issues due to the AC lines being different length between the inverters? Just wondering how precise it really needs to be.
None reported, did a load test on it in part 2 released today.

🤣 did you watch our parallel inverter install, we did the same thing with the color coordinating Dinkle connections.
I did, I still can't figure out how to get the matching colors in the larger size. All they have on Amazon and their own website are black and white or black and red, no green unless you get the smaller conductor size.
Good to know we’re not alone. I did not see your video on it. From our commercial control panel work we had some laying around and I just got to thinking.
@@sotasolar if I would have known about these for our first install I would have used them to splice in the shore to MP+ 2 connection. On another note, I didn’t realize we would be limited to 18.5 amp on power assist. We want to hook up too 15 amp and having trouble looking for alternatives. Maybe a Blue Smart 24v charger connected to the Lynx distributor 🤷♂️
There is a third option that’s quite controversial and does have some drawbacks where you set each inverter up independently and you run one inverter into the other, and you would disable the charger on one.
You had another option is to use the older style multi plus inverters we use those on our bus and those go down to 14 A AC input current limit as a pair. The downside there is you have to rewire the panel as 30 amp only however on our bus, it’s work just fine , we run two air conditioners, electric hot water, microwave, etc.
Will you add a pre-charger switch to charge the inverter capacitors before full-time connection to batteries?
We’ve never done it. We usually program with a lab supply with restricted amps, in production we recommend starting solar first , this will keep amps restricted.
Even still we’ve never had any components fail, batteries or inverters due to the surge on startup. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
