After work. F.Sor : Theme and variations Op.9

After a day of teaching,inspired by my students,I switched on my mobile and did this video.
Sors variations on a theme from Mozarts opera ’The Magic Flute’ is really a fun piece to play
when you’re a bit tired and your brain is full of music.
I didn’t have my microphone with me so the sound is a bit ’retro’. Like a really old recording,
but that also gives a special atmosphere…
And yes,I know…there is a beautiful introduction in this piece,which I didn’t play this time.

This evokes a sensation akin to encountering one of Tárrega's études from long ago, or perhaps even surpasses it. Unearthing the beauty within that piece, which we once found so accessible, transcends everything and is truly exquisite. Thanks to you, I feel emboldened to revisit the sonatina I practiced in my youth today. If Goethe claimed that the eternal feminine would save us, then I dare say today that the beauty of basic music will redeem us.

Lovely interpretation. Maestro Söllscher, may I ask you to share your ideas about your own technique especially your right hand? I see you have personal choices on fingerings your scales, arpeggios and repetitive notes. Maybe you already have some work about that. Please let me know about it, if possible. Thanks a lot 🙏 I guess I’m inspired by lute technique. The thumb is a strong,indipendent and very useful finger so I think I use it
more than many other guitarists. I think this is very individual but for me it feels very comfortable.

2-6 Savarez Alliance hard tension and first string Oasis Claro(nylon) hard tension.
