Luck be a Landlord is a roguelike drafting game / deckbuilder about using a slot machine to earn rent money and defeat capitalism. This game does not contain any real-world currency gambling or microtransactions.

I liked that when you picked the hex of destruction it ended up destroying 3 of your doves first

I liked the part where luck said "it's landlordin' time" and then caused several god runs in a row
if you check the text on the shrine looking red relic when a soul is destroyed 4 times it adds a random thing with a soul
lol that dud interaction with the red pepper. I've had duds proc a rusty gear essence, so three of my duds were worth 1.5x!
the dove soap move was increadible
That one bar of soap lasted so many rounds, my heart broke when he got swapping essence just for no dove to show up
Every eater *except* eldritch counts the number of times it itself has applied the "destroy" synergy, whether or not another symbol like Dove interacted with the destruction.
So the synergy between eldritch and dove is "only" as much as dove and bubbles or capsules, but eldritch creature is strong enough that it's still an insane build overall.
I think the Shrine essence may have added the toddler/cat/mouse? Not 100% on that
And after seeing that the shrine essence's description goes off screen, that kinda confirmed it to me.
Glad it was noticed in the end. I do think that the Shrine essence stops adding things after it is gone, though? I know not all the essences have permanent effects.

I do believe that the random chicks, toddler, mouse, and ninja all came from spirits when they would finally go away. It may have to do with the shrine or shrine essence.

I believe multiple geologists (and other destroy characters) can get boosted by destroying the same item, at least it used to be that way.
A butcher would be pretty cool, something like a very rare that kills all animals and scales like the pirate or the geologist

I love how you only noticed the shrine essence after it is already gone and no longer has any effects.
your baby chickens are coming from your shrine and shrine essence items. when you destroy an animal or character symbol, you add a spirit. and when the spirit gets destroyed, you add a character or animal symbol. im guessing rngeezus added 3 baby chickens in some crazy random way.

The shrine essence plus the shrine would make a pretty fun loop with Zorof

I misread it as the same as the shrine item
but shrine essence doesn't have a permanent effect it is just a 5 time thing
Instant clicking on these is a different kind of satisfaction.
It believe it is the effect of the shrine essence is why you were getting things you were not adding purposely.

You couldve turned off the relic that made things into spirits. But doesn't really matter in the end.
I'm pretty sure the hex of destruction actually destroyed a spirit, which was weird to watch.

Present is the worst symbol unless you have a toddler to open them.
I was just thinking, could you possibly get a run where you get to endless, and then pivot to making 0 dollars, and eventually failing to pay a 0 dollar rent.
You would need to run a board full of Thieves with almost all of your items disabled, as I think they may be the ONLY symbol that is purely a net negative.

Shrine: Living things (except Billionaires) add a Spirit when destroyed. Amazing value, basically gives your living things "+24 gold when destroyed"
Shrine Essence: Up to 4 Spirits add living things (except Billionaires) when destroyed. Basically a meme pick!
Shrine Essence is one of those essences that has a temporary effect, then destroys itself after that effect happens 4 times, so your slots don't get completely clogged up with junk.
I think the creator might be a vegetarian. The farm animals don't get eaten, and the animals don't eat each other.
It shouldn't of ignore duds
I was wondering why people didn't play endless mode anymore and now I see. It's just not satisfying no stupid builds will be checked or tested out the gate with rent payments so they just get a free pass in a sandbox which is kinda boring
The boss fight did not add junk symbols. Your inability to read on the other hand did. At least read the effects of the essences you pick in the future. Just edit the reading out if you're worried about it taking too much time.

@@Retromation Ah yes. Because commenting while watching the video is clearly such a big problem, isn't it? After all, increasing engagement clearly is a bad thing. Especially when my advice still applies regardless. Especially the advice about editing your video's to cut out the reading.
If a statement like "your inability to read on the other hand did" is enough to upset you, you really need to think about if you should even interact with the comments in the first place. You're going to get responses that are hostile, with my first response being barely hostile in the first place. If you let it upset you enough to respond to them, you're not going to last long. Especially when you ignore the parts that are genuinely meant to be helpful.

You kind of just assumed I was upset and took your comment is hostile, I merely just responded using exactly your phrase but with a fact. If that came across as hostile... you can figure out why that is a problem.
I've been doing this for 12 years, and full time for half of that. Thanks for the suggestions, they will be considered.
I'd love to see you try an item build. Like, egg carton, fish tank, etc. and only take symbols that are already getting buffed by items
