      You know another health influencer who mentioned the dangers of excess phosphorus intake was the late Ray Peat. Where he would disagree with you is on dairy foods. Dairy is one of the few foods with a high calcium/phosphorus ratio.

    A 12 oz can of cola can contain around 37-60 milligrams of phosphorus, while a diet cola may contain around 32 milligrams. Some clear carbonated drinks, such as ginger ale and lemon-lime sodas, may be less likely to contain phosphoric acid and therefore have lower phosphorus levels.

    Phosphorus is not listed on the labels of food

    • @PureNutrition101
      @PureNutrition101 Před 28 dny

      Actually, phosphorus is often listed on food labels, especially in processed and packaged foods. It's usually found under the "Nutrition Facts" panel, where it's listed as a percentage of the recommended daily value (%DV) or as milligrams per serving. However, it's important to note that not all foods contain added phosphorus, and natural sources like fruits, vegetables, and fresh meats may not have phosphorus listed. Have you found it helpful to check food labels for phosphorus content when managing your diet?

    You are correct in what you said here about phosphorus and other information. I had stage 3 last year and now it's normal kidney function. Thanks to God and my diet. I eat lot's of veges, some fruits, nuts and seeds. I have fish sometimes and chicken just now and then. I hardly have red meat. I have three drinks a day mainly with one tablespoon of cream in each drink. That's my animal protein for the day mainly. I hardly have cheese now. I used to get nauseous after eating eggs and i think because of high phosphorus. I do make homemade mayo with eggs but i have it for around two weeks so it's ok. Now and then i have eggs but careful with it. Egg yolks is high in phosphorus i think. I limit my chocolate intake and coffee. I have decaffeinated coffee and tea. Thanks 👍

      Vitamin D is a crucial nutrient that plays a role in regulating phosphorus levels in the body. It helps the body absorb calcium and phosphorus from the diet and maintain balance. However, it's essential to monitor vitamin D levels closely, as excessive supplementation can lead to increased phosphorus absorption. Have you discussed your vitamin D levels and supplementation with a healthcare professional? It's important to ensure you're getting the right balance for your individual needs.
