I'm at the point where if I want to grind, the problem will always come down to that I'm not good enough to carry. Bronze up to Gold is filled with players that are good at one things, and terrible at everything else. It's like that old game QWOP, where you have to move each limb of a person with a different keybind to win a race. That's what playing in low elo is like. You've got people who can aim but have zero observational skills, people who can smoke but don't communicate, people who hold ultimates for the next game... so on and so forth. Obviously, I can't control what decisions my teammates decide to make, so I blame myself and assume that I didn't hard carry enough to win. Oftentimes, this mindset is really all you need.

Yep. Put in the effort and the wins will come. Honestly clove us the agent I was truely waiting on to solo carry and since they release my win % is super high. An agent on which you can push in and agro (with the meddle and heal) and stop teammates from peaking stupid angles with an op watching (smokes), you can come back after death several times per half if you're good (ult), AND even if you don't ult, as long as you play with your team you can continue to help post death with smokes. I think prior to my last 2 games (awful duo queue experience) I lost 3 games out of my last 15. And was at 99/100rr in silver 2

I partially agree with your point, but I don't think that assuming every teammate you encounter in low elo will be useless and that you'll have to carry is a good way to go about it. Like you said, they'll probably have something they're good at (especially if they chose their main agent) and if you're in bronze to gold elo, it's likely the same situation for you, so the best outcome would be to find a way to play off your teammates' best skill (and it will be likely that they'll do the same if u do)
@@idk-cc1ep I suppose, but for me, expecting that everyone is terrible and when in reality such is the case, I’m already prepared to take the lead. Rather than expecting to get carried, then promptly disappointed, then lose the match because nobody is willing to take point. It’s like… a habit formed out of unfortunate matches yk? I try not to harp too much on being bad, cause I’m in this elo too (for good reason lol).

the reason your aim has gotten worse is because players start dodging bullet and peeking better angles so they are faster on your screen, work on your crosshair placement and mind your movement.

I started right after the beta ended, didnt play comp until right at the end of the first act or at the start of act 2, got placed iron 2 but quickly got to bronze 3, then came act 3 where I got placed silver 1, by the end of the 3rd act I got silver 3 then for the next 2 episodes until ep 3 act 2, I got hardstuck silver, then act 3 came and I got gold 1 but dropped back to silver for another episode until ep 5 act 1 where I got gold 2 then the next act came and I quickly got to plat and then stayed in plat until ep 6 act 2 where I finally got dia 1 but went back to plat for the 3rd act and the first act of ep 7, then in act 2 I got back to dia 1, stopped playing for act 3 but came back for ep 8 act 1, act 2 comes and right at the end I hit dia 2, now its act 3 and im still dia 1, but I haven't really played comp because I broke my spine about 2 weeks ago
i fully get what the kid in iron talking about.
now that i improved, looking back at it.
its just the mentality issue thing that he must overcome.
my highest rank now in plat with mainly solo plays.
mentality is a big thing in this game.
When I 1st started I received gold, got down to silver, then got hard stuck at gold for 2 acts, then got promoted to plat, hard stuck at plat for 1 act, and now I ranked up to diamond 2..
Personally, I can't even believe I got to diamond 2.. its like my aim is gold but game sense is plat?.. I don't know...
I'm playing on a mid-tier laptop 100-150fps..
Gear does impact on how fast you improve ingame, I mean, I tried playing on my friend's pc (with better specs) and I did carry my team (plat) at that moment..
So with my current setup, I can't believe I reached diamond and I guess when I have or can play on a good set up? I'd improve drastically? I can't apply what most game advices because my monitor and in game fps drags me down so I'll js play prediction and not tracking like most good players do..
I think a great idea for video would be very similar concept to this one, but show of the differences among players in same rank but different servers, because believe me that if ur playing on US or West Europe servers, u have no idea what average lobby looks like on Frankfurt and East EU servers. Especially US, you guys are playing truly a different game with little to no language barrier and it goes very alike for London and Madrid.

im hardstuck gold since Nov 2023 and im not joking when i say that 1 of 3 games theres a toxic guy that makes the game impossible,and 1 of 2 games one of the duelists doesnt entry,bottom frag or bait

Don't want to be toxic but being you can't be hardstuck if you started playing 4 months ago. Being hardstuck woul be in the same rank for 6 months or more. But i'm sure you'll get out of silver if you find a duo or a trio even.

The funniest thing that I’ve ever experienced in Val was today where I got seven bot lobbies and I got unstuck from iron three and I don’t know how you ran into that many I just wanted to say that
i made my account on episode one act 2 i believe. I was stuck on iron due to bad internet and bad quality equipment and most importantly lack of playtime. And until episode 3 or 4 i was iron. Then disaster struck and i updated my laptop to windows 11 and couldnt play since until episode 8. I had to play in an internet cafe to reveal my rank but i couldnt spend much money so i couldnt reveal my rank on time. But i knew that i have became better after playing mobile fps games and watching valorant youtube videos for 3 years. My skill level is about silver to gold now.
I’ve been a bronze for so long, my aim is just so garbage, recently it’s finally started improving, but what used to be my strength, my smokes, are now a weakness, and even my game sense, which is just kinda sucking. If I had to guess I’m bronze now in skill

The reason why im still in plat is cause i lost my duo and with that the ambition to grind ranked.
Obv dont really play much comp anymore cause soloq is horrible cause u either get a team where they start to throw early cause u are behind 4 rounds or smth or they dont talk and sometimes u get lucky and have a great team so kinda gave up on comp only playing swift,tdm dm sometimes unrated.
Anyways dont know why im sharing but im bored and have nth better to do i guess.

I will say to the iron people who feel hardstuck due to smurfs there is a solid chance they aren't actually smurfs just people who don't play much and don't take ranked seriously most of the time. I'm peak silver3 and I tried to make an iron account to queue with my brother without throwing him into games with silvers and high bronze and it is actually kinda hard to get an account down to iron lmao unless you 5 stack with throwers.
In my opinion smurfs play a big part on why people are "hard stuck"

Iron: "I feel like i have been unlucky with smurfs". Iron is rank with the least amount of smurfs. If you're actually smurfing you wouldn't place in iron unless you really try to and even if you do if you're above silver tou would get out of iron in less than 10 games
I was hardstuck iron, and i kind of agree with the iron hardstuck. There are players that i don't think are supposed to be in iron. But it's not that frequent i actually encounter them. Queuing iron and then getting in a lobby with a silver is very possible. It has happened to me multiple times. His reasoning isn't really BS tbrh.
@@4f1q of course there are players in iron that are not supposed to be in iron. But that's hiw it works in every other rank. Why do you think there are people going 40/10 in gold or diamond or even ascendant lobbies?
It's because the rank system is shit and people who get these kind of stats in one match next match goes quadruple negative KD. It's how the game works but you cannot blame being hardstuck purely because of smurfs and cheaters. Because you don't get a cheater or a smurf every game if you are hardstuck it's mostly because of the learning curve if you don't know what that is you can look it up.

@f1efan no the smurfs are mainly bronze to gold. I've tried to make an iron account (peak s3) and it's just too hard to get an account into iron unless you 5 stack throw. You might dip into iron 3 but getting below that is hard and then 1 win and you're out.

I swear I’m Bronze 2 and my mechanical skills need tons of work, but whenever I 5 stack with friends (one hit Silver 1, lowest Iron 2 but has been in Bronze) we often win enough to queue against Silvers, sometime even a low Gold. It truly is random teammates that hold you back whenever you don’t have a five stack. Especially if you don’t main duelist, like most of my friends and I. Just all the small mistakes and little nuances of choice that change the game are completely ignored by people in my rank.
Its not necessarily that the Randoms are holding you back because they are bad, it's that the 5 stack is boosting you because you learn how to account for the weaknesses of your stackmates and they all communicate. The games will feel better in a 5 stack but rank is a lot less involved in a 5 stack win because it's more about how you interact with one another
You might not be communicating with randoms unlike when you play with your friends.
I THINK i deserve gold, i have a lot of problems with my aim, its very iffy, but i have decent game knowledge and game sense

Yo bro, I am hardstuck iron have a low spec pc ngl, but I carry my teammates like 35+ kills most games. I am playing competitive (instalock reyna and hard carrying as reyna😅😅). The teammates are trash but the enemy team are mostly bronzes and silvers and I’m trying my best to get the hell out of iron. Started last year and I am pretty good at the game. Know all basics do aim training and stuff and that’s the reason why I frag out. Most of the times I deserve like I feel at least silver like I give good comms try to make plays and fragging out and match mvping. My mains are reyna mostly and yoru jett omen if someone locks reyna faster
