- I've always loved the good old fashioned deer camp. Friends and family and great food and a wood stove in the wall tent and deer hanging on the meat pole!
Getting meat is the core purpose but the experience is so much more than that. And unlike other hunting adventures, we can actually enjoy a good nights sleep and good food. Deer camp is like the vacation of hunting adventures.

@@northstarprepsteader when we first found their channel we were on grid and would watch on our big screen tv! Never knew about comments and thumbs up and stuff until I started watching CZcams on my phone. Gridlessness is the channel that gave me hope for this lifestyle. I never thought I could do something like this with all our girls until I came across these guys! Our adventures aren’t as great as theirs yet but we’ll get there!

The first time I went deer hunting, I shot a doe & she just fell. I then shot a turkey in the neck with a deer rifle. My friend asked, “Do you how big a turkey’s neck is?”. I said, “Yeah. Now that you know I can shoot & hit something, don’t piss me off.” He has told that story over & over again.

Julia... "Kez, where were you aiming?" Keziah... "Right at it!" with the cutest grin I ever saw on a hunter. Then I picked myself up off the floor and caught my breath from laughing. Christina, PERFECT SHOT!! You guys are the best!! I'm so proud of you girls and you're not even mine. I raised 3 boys and they can't shoot as well as you girls. I vote you all the "Bestest Family on CZcams" ...do they give a gold plaque for that?

Good thing that one shot that dehaired the lil guy wasent a lil to the left. He would have shot all the meat right ..up the rear. And ruined it . Uncle needs to do some practice shots with the girls . Lol
Your girls never cease to amaze me. They are so well prepared for what REAL life is all about. They are equipped with knowledge that will let them get through almost any situation you can throw at them. We should all teach our children these true skills of the basics of life. LOVE YOU GUYS !!

This is 20 times better than watching the outdoor channel. Fat guys paying to hunt by a deer feeder in Texas, what a joke. This is real hunting enjoyed by thousands of families every year on public land. Great adventure, keep sharing your family's life stories.
I'm always happy to see when you all post another video, and I especially enjoyed this one cause it brings back memories of when I was a kid and we had deer camps in Colorado. Deer camp isn't just about shooting deer. The main thing is being able to get together with family/friends and enjoying each others company, and the outdoors. If you shoot a deer or two, the meat is just an added bonus. I always love to see the smiles that you and your family have, when out on hunting and fishing adventures. I guess I should add "eating adventures" to that, cause you guys know how to eat at deer camp! Jeff, good call on waiting a little while before trailing the doe. It was a great shot, but better to be safe than to bump one up and have to trail it forever. I live in Kansas and we rarely get to hunt in snow, here, so it makes trailing them a lot harder in no snow. Congratulations to the girls on one shot kills, and also to Shawn for getting his buck. Best thing in 2020 was finding your channel. Just spent 3 hrs. Watching your vids. I smiled , I laughed out loud and had tears of joy. Best way to describe it is WOW. awesome family keep it up.

Sadly, this is all the game I saw during hunting season this year. I only saw two sets of fresh tracks in the snow and not one animal. It looks like my first year without any game meat of any kind in over 25 years. I am glad to see you guys did well. Thanks for sharing, it was nice seeing that there are still animals in the bush and that they aren't all living in the city. Great shooting girls.
