    FAQ:
    1) How did you successfully contact IHS?
    Answer: Their email usually bounces back. So, we kept calling their number and when we successfully got through, they took our complaint and sent us an e-mail afterwards.
    Here’s the number: 03003307693.
    2) I paid IHS and worked for over 6 months as a carer (and met all the criteria you mentioned in the video) but I am now on another type of visa. Can I still claim?
    Answer: YES!!! Just ensure the details you fill in for visa type aligns with the period being claimed.
    Hope this helps.

    I arrived in the UK as a student in 2021, and my wife and children joined me as dependents on my Tier 4 visa. My wife started working in healthcare in March 2021 and was granted a Care Tier 2 visa in 2023. At that point, my children and I became her dependents. We paid the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) when applying for the Tier 4 visa, but not when we switched to the Tier 2 visa. When making a claim, should we use my wife's work details from her employment between 2021 and 2023 while I was still a student, or should we use the work details from 2023 that led to her sponsorship? The work was with two different companies. Thank you.

    • @GrayShores
      @GrayShores  Před měsícem

      Hello 👋,
      You should use the details that match the visa you are claiming the IHS fee for. That should be when she was your dependent 2021 to 2023), in this case.
      You didn’t pay any IHS from 2023 after her sponsorship so, you have nothing to claim there.
      Hope this is crystal clear 😊

    • @GrayShores
      @GrayShores  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Yes; I think you should give it a shot.
      The requirement is an average of 16 hours per week for a 6-month period. So, hopefully you have more of the 20-hours week period which will make the overall average per week go above 16hrs.
      All the best! 🙏

    • @GrayShores
      @GrayShores  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Hello,
      They would have sent you an email when you made payment for IHS. Go to the email you used and search for the email by typing “IHS” and see if the mail pops up.
      You can also check for the email you got after completing your application, it might be there. The number usually begins with “IHS”.
      Hope this helps.

      What you need to do is to watch the video again 😃
      You will NOT be paid in full; you will get a quarter of what you paid and will need to reapply again if you continue to meet the criteria.

      Hi Munish,
      The payment usually comes in within six weeks after they approve your application. Sometimes, it comes in a bit later depending on the account used and all. Kindly check the account you used to make the initial payment as that’s where payment will be made.
      If you are yet to receive the money, you can contact them and they will give you the payment details if they have made the payment but you are yet to receive it.
      No, they didn’t send any other email after payment was made.

      My advise would be that you send an email reminder or find a way to follow up on the delayed repayment.
