I own the 710. The extra on the 720 was sideways sewing with maxi stitches. The 720 has ribbon stitches the 710 does not. Feed dogs are automatic drop on the 720 when needed and the 710 is manual feed dog drop. The 720 has tons of extra stitches more than the 710. ( don’t worry the 710 has a good half a ton) you can design your own stitches on the 720 but not on the 710. The 720 has a straight stitch plate as well as regular standard stitch plate. The 710 comes with one regular stitch plate. Both the 710 and720 have holes in the stitch plates to attach Pfaff Binder attachment. So it’s just what you need the720 is amazing but retirement soon and 710 was perfect for my needs but 720 is a fun toy if you can swing it. Hope that helps😇

So happy you made one for the 720. I have a 4.2 and I watched your video on that machine many times. Loved your tips, like the one for the 1/4 seam with the regular foot and moving the needle so there is more contact with the feed dogs. I am now getting the 720 mainly because of the ruler foot setting. I am going to watch your video and know it will help me learn about all the features. You made my day! I now have to find a nice home for my beloved 4.2. Thank you again for making these videos that are so helpful

Hi Aggelike Sbaiti, Can I ask you a question? I just bought this machine and my eyelet stitches don't work, they are not round, and the flower eyelet (nr 3 or 4 in the eyelet menu)is not really a flower (middle part of the flower is to high). I have contacted a lot of people and they don't seem to know either. Now I have heard you can change this with a submenu under stitch width or lenght but I was wondering if you had this problem too and if you were able to find any information about it online. I'll ask the question in the comments of this video too.
The other thing I found out is that stitch 2.2.13 isn't going straight through. Even after an inch or 6 it is going ascew. my piece of fabric was only 8 inch so no tension on the quilt sandwich.
Could you let me know if your machine is doing the same?
      Thank you

I just purchased this machine for my wife for Xmas I looked at one over the summer at one PFAFF dealer and I found another dealer that sells these near my residence PFAFF dealers are hard to find in my area and now I have a great source for this product. The purchase I made was an excellent buy the dealer did a truck load sale, they bought a whole bunch, question is though is PFAFF coming out with an upgraded expression 720 or possibly a new model? Have you heard? just wondering because the deal I made on this machine was excellent that’s what made me think, but then in this hobby the market share for high end machines is contested to say the least. We now the king of brands and that machine is easy to find, however after checking out GM, Ford, and Chrysler (just a joke reference) I really have been happy with the VSM Group of machines. PFAFF and Viking I bought my wife a Viking 3 years ago what a work horse and a good machine now the move to a better platform I can’t wait to see how she utilizes this. Thanks for the good video it’s kind of hard to find much on the 720.

Motherboard issue. Price 700 euros, no warranty accepted. I didn't even make one stitch with it. Returned the machine, had to pay transport myself, another 150 euro. And I am still waiting for refund. Never again. A brand new machine! The warranty is supposed to be international. I had Bill and customs papers as proof of purchase.

The 710 and 720. Are pfaff. Newest machines. The 4.2. Is getting very old with manual tension. The 720 is a amazing machine it automatically sets your tension on every stitch choice and you can still adjust it more in the screen. The screen alone should sell you. 4.2. Not nearly as good screen is smaller and black and white. Plus you still have that huge amazing bed to sew on. Good luck.

Absolutely love this! Ive been going back and forth for quite some time trying to decide which machine would bestmeet my needs and allow growth as well. Ive been leaning towards a juki machine but then i watched your tutorial and its like I came alive. Its hard to explain it ... It was like something inside is shouting yes yes yes..lol that hasn't happened with any other brands I've researched these last 9 months.. A couple gave me a nice feeling but not the shout of joy..
I do have a question though regarding thread. Is there a particular brand of thread you would recommend for this machine. I quilt and would love to incorporate some of those decorative stitches in my quilts.

Now I have finally heard you can change this with a submenu under stitch width or lenght but I was wondering if you had this problem too and if you were able to find any information about it online. If so could you maybe make a video about this problem, especially if its an easy fix in the submenu?
The other thing I found out is that stitch 2.2.13 isn't going straight through. Even after an inch or 6 it is going ascew. my piece of fabric was only 8 inch so no tension on the quilt sandwich.
Could you let me know if your machine is doing the same?
And if there is a simple fix for this?
    Thank you

Make sure you use your decorative foot it has a groove underneath so stitches can feed threw properly Eyelet stitches need room on top to pile up to make the stitch design properly

Does anyone else think that their machine is extremely noisy when sewing??

The fact that you have to explain the screen means it is not intuitive. Duh. Those icons are not in any way, shape or form intuitive.

You are not showing how to use machine. You are showing off. Hands in the way, going too fast with steps, and pretending your fingers show something when they are way too fat to point. Use a seam ripper to point, DUH. Try agiain, bud. This is pitiful.
