- We booked a single room at the Anantara Vacation Club Mai Khao in Phuket. They upgraded us to a 2 bedroom Villa with Private Swimming pool. Khun Kook showed us around!
It all went very smooth, it was easy to check in and easy to get out of the airport. We wanted to visit the vegetarian festival in Phuket.

Nice. I like this area of Phuket, Mai Khao much quieter than other areas, nature reserve close by and so on.

wow, I am impressed. first time seeing a washer in a 5 star hotel room.... love the private pool as well. hope the water isn't cold. last time I was in a private pool suite was at the renaissance hotel in pattaya. but the pool was freezing... my biggest curiosity for you is how you are going to get to phuket town. typically the taxi service from the airport to phuket town is at least 600 baht 1 way. or I imagine you could hire a hotel car w/driver for around 2,000 to 3,000 baht for maybe 8 hours? or you can make a deal with a taxi driver?

This period of covid time, not many tenants ,so they can upgrade you.Not many guests in hotels this time, they are in trouble of receiving tourists ,actually.

If you need to ask, you can't afford it! Their better resort is a few kilometres further South, and rooms start from around 100,000 baht/nt, at the cheapest.
You forgot to include the "90 minute" presentation that you are required to attend or else you pay the full amount of the stay. I hope you didn't sign up with their offer. This is very much a scam.
