I just knew about Adekunle Gold in February when planning our 15th wedding anniversary and a friend suggested a song of his. I have since then fallen in love with him and his songs. So cultured. So traditional. Wise lyrics. My son, Ire, loves his Ire album to bits. Well done guy. We love you and ur music... all the way 🥰👌

This song is just a reminder that we can never please humans, there will always be someone that doesn't like the way you do things just because it's YOU! Don't live your life based on people's thought about you, do you! After all the only person left when push comes to shove is you.

I think that is one of the beauty of Adekunle Gold's songs. He chips in some English phrases even though he sings in yoruba whuch makes it easy for non-Yoruba speakers to get a gist of what is being sung.
