Funfact: Subway China used to have Coke lineup for drinks, but swapped to Pepsi ones several years ago. If I remember correctly, it should be around 2018, that the shop literally had the information printed and shown in the shop for Pepsi drinks taking over.
Nico, I must say you are such an amazing host and it’s fun and exciting to listen to you. I think you fit perfectly in this role and I like this shining personality you got on yourself, and that you show! Very great food wars episode!
Not seeing any negativity; I think she did a fine job, but nothing beats Joe. Cute how she displayed how little she cares about football not knowing the most popular current active player in the NFL. 😆 Where is the comments section giving her crap the way Joe got crap for not recognizing Messi? I think that's way worse seeing as that most Americans don't care about soccer, and American Football is king here.
I kind of miss Joe on classic Food Wars but he's done Subway so many times it's good to have a different presenter with different opinions. I wonder if Subway is one of the foreign exchange series and if we'll see Joe 'enjoying' some British subs
4:43 - Love this one SO MUCH!!!! Reminds me of old memories when I was a kid, after groceries with my mum at Carrefour GuBei Lu, we'd go to the Subway 50m down the street. Italian sausage is all of my childhood memories!
If egg mayo is what it looks like, that might be interesting. It looks like egg salad. Usually in sandwiches I've eaten, it's usually the main ingredient on a sandwich, but to have it be somewhat of a condiment (like plain mayo), that could be quite tasty!!!
Yes egg mayo is egg salad. It's just a localised name. Brits also call egg salad, egg mayo. In the same way an American says chips and a Brit says crisps.
What's always confused me is How subway gets away with claiming itself to be fresh and healthy when it's not you just have a look at it's ingredients calorie count and even the sugar level in its bread makes it classified as a cake in many countries
@@hilosky Well, I don't know if it's still the norm but Subway used to let you refill your drink if you eat at the restaurant so you'd still get your money's worth. As a former employee, I didn't fill the cup to the brim because I had to bring it from the drinks fountain to the counter and obviously I didn't want to spill any of it on the floor. But McDonald's is the real shady one because even if you fill the cup to the brim, it still doesn't hold as much as it claims to.
I'm from China and I'm sad to see fewer Subway stores here now. Around 2014-2015, we had many Subways. But by 2022, in my city, from having a Subway in almost every big mall, it's down to just 2 or 3. I like Subway more than other fast foods like KFC, McDonald's, and Burger King because I can choose what I want in my sandwich. But now, KFC, McDonald's, and Burger King are everywhere and Subway is not. Maybe it's because those other places now sell special foods for China. Like, KFC even sells Mapo Tofu Rice. But if I want that, I'd rather go to a local place for the real thing.
I’m Chinese-American and there aren’t that many Subway restaurants around my area either, deli sandwiches aren’t really that popular here (except for Lee’s Sandwiches)…but I am more grateful for the many small local casual sit-in/takeout restaurants that populate our towns more so than common US fast food chains. It’s a side of the US the majority of the world aren’t aware of other than stereotypes, but hey…at least y’all got Subway.
I still don't understand the obsession with thousand Island dressing. When I was living there it would be on everything, including as a alternative base for pizza in a load of places 😌
Do people not watch the rest of the content on the channel? You will see Joe and Harry doing food tours at the moment. Also Joe has done subway so many times he probably doesn’t want to do it again. Content is good. Thanks.
The one time I got Subway in China (at an airport), they were out of bread. I'm not kidding. A sandwich place-out of bread. They offered to make me a wrap instead.
we got this bread in the UK Italian White BreadPB Hearty ItalianPB 9-Grain Wheat BreadPB Herbs & Cheese Tiger BreadPB 9-Grain Multi-SeededPB Tortilla WrapPB Gluten Free Bread (6-inch only)
No, she is just dumb and does not know to use a measuring tape. From our prospective sandwich is almost 1 foot long with measure say. If you showed a bird eye view of you using a pencil to draw line at 0.0 in and one line at the back of the sandwich. And then compared it the measuring tape then might believe your claim of a centimetre off. Plus these dumb ass thinks she know the units. An inch is 2.54 centimetres. The sandwich might be little a half a centimetre. That is nothing, but claiming few centimetres off is like claiming Subway scammed you of a inch of you sandwich. At most half centimetre, probably 2 millimetres, dumb American doesn't know a centimetre from a millimetre.
I used to work at subways, and at one point my location had all discontinued items like soups plus, croissants sandwiches and the forgotten subway pizza.
Subway make me sick every time i eat there that why i go Jimmy Johns But Egg Mayo look bit like egg salad witch i love so much so i think i would like egg mayo
The only thing I want to do is go to Subway and get a Seafood and Crab, or Seafood Sensation whatever they called it. That was my favorite and I haven't had it in years. Also fond memories of the brownie cupcakes with the filling.. Gosh, memories.
You guys may can do a subtitles in portuguese. That will help me a lot, beacuse the content is soo fun and rich, and I like to show them for some people, but my friends and parents don't understand english, it's bad. (Sorry about the bad english, I'm not fluent)
It is easy to calculate number of combinations count the number of different items except for breads calculate all breds into one and do the factorial of that number will be the number of combinations
Pro tip. With or without ice, it will still displace the same amount of volume. Did they add cardboard packaging? It used to just be the paper, now they need to waste more crap? IS "egg mayo" just egg salad? Because Mayo is traditionally just eggs and oil anyway.
That looks like a bang on 12" footlong lol, she gotta read the tape! Centimeters off???? Does she realize how big 10mm is compared to a 1/4"??? If you are going to bring the tape out you have to read it right! Great vid as always!!
I would like to point out that calories are not an indicator of how healthy a food item is. You need to consider what it is you are eating. That 6 inch turkey sub with 270 calories is going to be healthier than a milk chocolate bar with 235 calories. Why? Because the sub has more nutritious value than a chocolate bar. You need to look at other variables. For example, someone with high blood pressure can't have a lot of sodium. If they were to eat a subway sandwich I would recommend the veggie delite, which has the least amount of sodium. Its the same if you need to keep saturated fats and cholesterol low. However, if you need to get more of the proteins, vitamins, and minerals, the Chicken and Bacon Ranch has the most overall.
I don’t know why people are so crazy about the size. It all depends if the worker stretched the dough enough. You still get the same amount of bread and meat.
Time out.. any subway I go to in the US the large is 32oz and that large was about that a bit more without the ice. Where the heck you’s go who told you it was 40oz??

Unless they removed it but here in the u.s we use to have honey oat bread
Yes. I don't really eat subway by choice, but whenever I was forced to I'd always get honey oat bread. Also in the US.
That's what I thought too. Maybe it's the Mandela Effect?...
@@SherriLyle80s yikes 😬
And Parmesan Oregano was also in the US.
Honey oat was for sure a thing for a while, years ago. Pretty sure parm orgenaro as well. Both were 15+ yrs ago
The face she made at Dasani water is a very accurate reaction 😅 Dasani is trash
What's always confused me is How subway gets away with claiming itself to be fresh and healthy when it's not you just have a look at it's ingredients calorie count and even the sugar level in its bread makes it classified as a cake in many countries
By many countries I think you mean just Ireland which probably also classes Brioche, and any other enriched dough, as "cake" as well.
Its wild that they short you on drinks considering its the cheapest part of the meal.
Probably cuz you'll eat more if you drink less
psychologically you'd notice less food more than a smaller drink
It makes some sense to underfill a drink for a delivery order. In person fill it to the brim

You should add australia next
So do they not have vinegar at all in china for the sandwich
BMT is a reference to one of the early subway lines in New York City-the Brooklyn Manhattan Transit corporation.
The chicken and egg are also called parent and child in Japan
None of that here In Australia our menu is a sad menu i'd be happy if they had egg mayo here too

Did subway not have the sense to concentrate on hot meatball sandwiches and paninis in China?
Subways in Costa Rica does have veggie patty available as well.
B.M.T. stands for Brooklyn Manhattan Transfer...from a SUBWAY station food stall in New York...hence the name of the food chain.
I missed watching nico!! I enjoy all the presenters! Joe and Harry are just naturally funny
BMT stands for Big Meat Trio; for the Peppeoni, Salami, and Ham that goes on it.
Or at least for the Italian BMT.
When I worked at Subway, I was told it stands for "Biggest, Meatiest, Tastiest".
Pls do DTF or another Chinese brand compared to the US version!
