It’s 2020 and I’m here taking notes 🔥🔥💪
Ha. Same!
Will always use this as a reference
Same but in 2021 🤯🤯
cmon , hes not that sick. you need to watch more producer streams.
@@alextaylor6692 bad take
2024, every time i return to this i learn something new. Lots of techniques for any genre in this one.
@ those who care about it being old,
the software version is IRRELEVANT.
It's all about the vibe/groove and idea, not the medium used to "produce" the track.
I agree look at fatboy slim. He made Grammy material on an Atari
Word
@@fabricioserrano4293 Atari was only sequencer and did/does it exactly the same way as modern DAWs.
All starting producers should see this to think about perfectionism in producing the other way. The way he records and processes his own sounds is just the way you could do it. No perfect environment or masterplan behind it, just creativity and a lot of experience how to do it. Great vid man!
jesus this was 2009 man is so ahead of his time
Now he´s on Coke
lol wat ?
@@V-u-l-p How could you possibly know such a thing? Lol
@@V-u-l-p Diet coke haha
He is and he's an amazing producer, but also he's looking backwards with this track to late 90s early 00s Renegade Hardware and Virus sounds. So how far ahead of their time were those guys?!
12 years later we all know which track was that from 1984 album ! fckn class
Why is this just recommended to me NOW? Big ups AP, legend from day 1
Hi guys happy to watch those even old videos so thx for uploading them
Watching all these vids from CV, Dom, icicle and alix p. Shows you how everyone has there own technic which means me and you should have our own technic/sound aswell. If that makes any sense lol.
The beauty is you can just play about and see what works. Basic production is key though like what Hz to have things in etc. Basically the science of sound is key to understand.
This is the video that really got me into production.
That’s not your real name
thanks guys, some great information given in this video.
Thankyou! Great minimal roller!'
this has aged very well!
Absolute legend. Been into him since the first days of Spearhead. Great video
Best tutorial by far
Talk you Alix...
god damn man the GUI for the Logic Pro stock devices were INSANE
still a legend
The reverse reverb and the incidentals every time!
this and the rusko one are crazy. the first 6 minutes seem doable and then the magic kicks in.
Great producer
hey thanks for looking out CM and keeping these videos afloat.. they inspire
der Termin passt es beiden und und ich hab mich mal an und frag mich nicht so einfach wie du 555
Great video! Very useful and informative. More please;)
back to basics bruv cheers !!!!
A part of these samples can hear in "The Observer" track ))
Gracias primo
New take on processing Tape 🤩
Cool good tips
want mackie too) nice stuff)
hehe. i can tell what synth he used to produce "flying to mars" :-D
This sounds like Suffer 'In Silence
alix perez is so fucking cool
An example of a producer with heaps of natural talent. Doesn't know the ins and outs of sound design but uses his musicality to make sick tunes.
doesn't know sound design? lol, that's one of the things he does best.
@@mettamuzik he probably doesn't realise this is from 2009 lol
all stand alone plug ins
Basically...
So sick,,, big fan of his production... Is this a released track? ID?
Alix Perez-The Observer
Did he release this track? Give me the name please. It's amazing
Observer
I know I'm a bit late to the party, but where exactly is the distorsion happening? In the Virus?
yeah - in the virus !
Great stuff, what subgenre is this tune?
Minimal dark
+MovingTargetOne ultra minimal and crap this style is bullshit and bass
+MovingTargetOne You'd find more like it rhythmically in 'autonomic' and sonically in 'techstep'. Probably better to look at artists though tbh. Start with people like Clarity and Sabre
Nowadays it's called Halfstep, check out dBridge and his Exit Records
Ffs, I keep thinking so many of these producers are European and not English and then I get slapped back to reality 😭😂
whats the name of the percussion recorded as rim shots
They are rim shots.....
tamberine
What mic is this?
Neumann TLM 193
technique
Fuck me i thought you were behind me when it started.
Note... The Mackie HR824's 2019 come in at £669 a speaker,
cant be getting this kind of production with a shitty setup
What synth is that?
Pfff I have T9 virus on my fucking samsung galaxy 4
He even tells you at the beginning of the video. :/
@@Claidheambmor can you link me that part of the video? Thanks
Rusko Masterclass 2.0 lol
his hair...
i.d??? if its a finished tune...
pretty sure its the observer
Darude - Sandstorm
+Simar Singh Pretty sure it's called "the observer"
Which 3 sado's disliked this video???
Hard to believe he wrote and produced one of the greatest drum & bass albums ever made on this janky ass setup.
Spending mass amounts of money on gear won't increase your talent.
@@virgilb.clairvaux5513exactly 💯% facts. 👍🏾
Burial wrote an album using Audacity! That's not even a daw
loool, "he's producing pretty much making on his own.. here's one of my basses.." which is a standard bass sound from the ti library. it can be found easily on the first 10 bass results in the library!
theres nothing wrong with using factory presets, but telling the peeps that he made them is just stupid!
Good production and and biiig producer tho!
Ooooo maaaan u really got him red handed there eh mate? I guess you will replace him any time now since you are the one who ended his career with your brilliant knowledge about preset recognition woooooweeeeee
DAMN MAN DID YOU SEE HE'S USING THE DEFAULT TAMBOURINE PRESET AS WELL??? WHAT A FUCKING FAKE

I'm a huge fan of your mag but why are you guys posting so many old vids? I don't think anyone is using logic 8 anymore.
Up to date vids please.
notsrifsrs
dj mad People keep asking us to put up our old in-studio videos… so here they are! They're not available anywhere else, and the techniques are still applicable today.
For up-to-date vids, get the mag every month - it's full of up-to-date stuff ;)
don't be a dick.. delete this video please its not good enough for me lol
just because the videos are a few years old doesn't mean they're irrelevant. a DAW is still a DAW, a synth is still a synth, effects are still effects etc. Most people don't even use the current version of Logic but they're still happy to watch the new videos. just because you're using something different doesn't mean you can't learn something new from it.
I have never touched a copy of Logic in my life, still a very useful video. People need to stop moaning :P
