Hats off to Rapha Legendary Quake player of All Time. And hats off to Raisy, the most insane Quaker with simply out of this world mechanics. Overall a lot good came out of this tournament.
Both these guys played so fast and with so much confidence. easily had me glued to the screen till the last Rail
Every single map was super intense, that was crazy. Shame there wasn't a huge audience
That last shot... sickness. Lost track of how many times Raisy has finished 2nd. He'll win a tourney eventually... he's too good not to.
6 times out of the last 8 grand finals. 4 times against rapha.
He already won in the past
this game could have gone either way. It was on all maps 1frg decider except on a map where Raisy won. The luck was on Rapha side this time :)

Fantastic. It really shows, a simple mistake meets a clutch rail means you're done. Both incredible players and a pleasure to watch. Raisy and a lot of the others really deserve to be up there and Rapha's right in saying everyone is pushing everyones skill up and up. What an awesome game.

Raisy's style leans heavy as a trapper who capitalizes on opponent moves & positioning. IMO this triggers Rapha soooo much, so much so that he goes super aggressive to break Raisy's hold. A risky move fraught with collateral damage but makes for a highly entertaining match pumped with adrenalin and emotion. To top it all off the final money shot is just pure gold.

Been so long since I played quake. Watching players luke Rapha and Raisy makes me wanna play. Wish I could play again but steam won't launch the game. :(
Do you use mouse intercept or a sens randomizer that uses interception? I had to uninstal this (a royal pain to do tbh) cause the anti cheat would not let the game launch while it was on the PC
@@martingutierrez2665 uhh I had a sens randomizer once haven't loaded it up in ages. I literally launch the game on steam it says it's launching for like 2 seconds then just doesn't launch.
Upon looking at the folder of it it does gave interception. Is it an issue even if I haven't launched it in years? Used to work fine even though I had it downloaded
@@Dentas137 Yeah, so from what I understand, mouse interception is a driver that's always present even if you aren't using a randomizer. The update that QC did earlier this year (i think like june or july?) that had an anti cheat program included made the game not launch or immediately crash with intercept installed on the PC, even if it isn't being used.
It's kind of a pain to uninstall intercept unfortunately. I had to watch a tutorial on how to do it and even then it was still confusing.
@@martingutierrez2665 that was around the time when it stopped working. Guess there's my fix. Just gotta figure out how to uninstall. I figured I'd just launch uninstaller in the folder.
You have to admit it: Rapha is the best player and yet he still manages to be humble and funny. Really the greatest of all time for me.

Imagine they start constantly turning around to look at the other screen... like old school Halo cheaters!
Doom active ability need update, because it is kinda useless (for example EZ to deny it with LG/RL combo or SS) while an other champ's is much more useful.
Nobody can be Rapha on LAN. Only reason he ever lost any QPL is because of covid.

Nah, raisy had ck won. All raisy had to do was play time around 8, but he did what he did
And lost. Rapha got lucky on awoken. All games were very tight and close. Rapha is good but raisy is becoming a quake god. Overall, great finale!
