- This is a presentation I gave at PAX West 2021. It is an adaptation of my research on the history of the Famicom that I have tentative plans to build into a highly comprehensive documentary. This console has gone places and done things that no other has done, undergoing transformations that are so little talked about, by names and companies that are so unknown. I want to bring all of this to light, and so I have built this presentation as a sort of central idea of what this research and console is all about. I hope this teaches something new and is enjoyable! As is tradition with my panels/talks, I was very pressed for time. This is after all, a very deep dive into a very comprehensive subject, so I apologize if I move through topics very fast, there is simply a lot to cover!! Anyways, please enjoy.

I grew up with the NES and even though it has by volume probably one of the worst libraries in console history, I still remember it more fondly than probably anything but Gamecube. Awesome talk!
Woah, I didn't know about that history of Plug & Plays.
Yea I learned so much from this!
Good video. I like a famicom.
Some old people call all video game consoles Nintendos. I like the idea of calling all video game consoles Famicoms.
