Great interview and what was impressed on me was, preparing for the Nationals in your home state or country is a major undertaking, getting it all together for two weeks of shooting on the other side of the world and winning the world championships is a massive feat. Well done to Rod and the Aussie team for pulling it off in 2017.
Thanks Eric, Another great interview. Really illustrates how important mental attitude and resilience is. A lot of people who had the horrible first experience and came back to find all their equipment under water would have folded, cursed their bad luck and given themselves an excuse to fail. The fact that he took it in stride and went on to win is a testament to his strong mental game. A good lesson for everyone I think.
Rod is a fantastic shot, great guy and extremely helpful at club. Also if you're interested in doing more interviews with world champion Australian shooters, we currently also hold the icfra palma teams trophy and world champion in target rifle (both open and under 25!)
Love these interviews Erik thank you so much. What makes it better is I was already reloading when your video popped up. Keep um coming please! We love it!
Thanks for these interviews Erik. You have provided a whole new insight into the sport. One question I would love to know with these guys is whether they do their own gunsmith work or farm it out.
Hey Erik Thanks for the interview Mate, Rod is a legend in FClass over here I would love to meet him and have a shoot with him one day that would be my future goal but I have a lot to learn before that would be possible , in what part of Australia does he live ? , Steve.

Every world champion started just like everyone else but what they did along the way makes the difference.

Rod's local range is Cessnock in NSW. He'll be out and about at some competitions in 2022, and you won't meet a nicer bloke either.
