In this WEEK IN MY LIFE vlog, I take you along with me on some exciting trips around the city- good food, live music, and a karaoke night! I also sit down to open up and vent about some unknowns that have been overwhelming me....this job is never something I take for granted, but I've definitely experienced my fair share moments of doubt throughout the years. I just want to make the best videos I can for you, so hopefully I can get some clarity soon on this....I appreciate you being around for the ride đ

This is one of my favourite vlogs that I've put up in 2022 - hope you enjoy it đ
for me too!!
Loved it! â„ïž
Dude I have no idea if you are going to read this but it's insane that you talk about this because I have JUST BEEN THINKING how you are one of the only creators I've kept up with since getting more jobs and busier schedule because I just love your energy and how real you are about working and living alone in the city. Im serious I was thinking how I love love love your videos no matter the topic if anything i loveee your vlogs because i love your balance! ANYWAYS i had to comment because I was just thinking about this since your last vlog and its the OPPOSITE of what you are saying you are not wasting our time aT ALL! And also that's on us not on you ;) Okayyy have the best day. xox
Okay, well I need to go grab a tissue box because this meant so much to read....thank-you for taking the time out of your busy life to not only write such kind words, but also follow along with my content. I'm so honoured, and really appreciate the feedback in regards to the vlogs. Makes me relieved to hear you all don't see them as a waste of time.....I'm clearly being a little too tough on myself đą
@@caitlinmariedasilva of COURSE! I am so glad I could reassure a bit because you are doing amazing, definitely way too tough on yourself!!!! Your vlogs are a treat, a motivation and an inspiration no matter what is the content, a tough week or a great week, cause we all have them! :)
Hey Caitlin!
Yes youâre being too tough on yourself;). We are just finallyyyyy able to have some normalcy after 2 tough years !
Youâre content is fun and I always love to see what youâre up to.;). And your consist which is so valuable. We donât give ourselves enough credit for it.;) I hope you get time to relax and reflect and dream about what youâd like in your future.;)
Sending you hugs,
Kathryn
Iâm recovering from surgery, and Iâm binge-watching your videos. I want you to know that when I feel like my life is falling apart, I seek inspiration. Your videos have helped me so many times. I really like your organization videos as well as those that touch have touched on adulting and finance. Your cooking B roll is also entertaining. Iâve actually tried some of the dishes So, please keep on being you. Itâs awesome.
The busyness of the business of living can be overwhelming at times. Remember that a 5-year plan is just that, a plan. It gives you a focus but the reality is things change and evolve throughout.
I love love love your content, Caitlin. As a working professional, Iâm very selective about the YT channels I watch. And let me tell you, I wait to unwind on Friday nights with your video - especially your vlogs. Iâve been following you for so long now, itâs a no-brainier to click your videos when you upload. Your content is soothing and real and relatable. And no youâre not wasting my (our) time. Please keep going and donât be so hard on yourself - youâre doing great. Sending love and good energy. â„ïž
Making me cry over here, Merlin! Thanks for the support you show my channel - it doesn't go unnoticed! I'm honoured to be on that list of creators you follow and honoured to have you a part of this community â€
Everybody is struggling the world is opening up. Social anxiety, cocooning for 2 years and we are going out for the first time. Life is busy. Good video.
Very true - the transition can bring up a lot of emotions. Thanks, Carol â€
I just want to drop a few thoughts... In the last few years I know that I have personally been gravitating toward vlog content because it just feels good to see other people just doing life! In these isolated times, it feels so good to know that other people are also feeling big emotions and struggling along. Thank you for your vlogs and for sharing bits and pieces of your life with us đ
Appreciate this insight so much, Lily! Thanks so much for sharing and supporting what I create â€
I wanna say, I've been loving the stuff you've been putting out lately. I know it's easy to get wrapped up in wanting things to be perfect. I just wanted to say as someone who's been here for years, I've loved how your content has evolved. I'm so so happy with the videos, newsletters, and just general content on socials that you've been creating. Your videos are genuinely something I look forward to every friday.
this means everything, thank-you so much (not only for the comment, but for supporting so much of the different content I create for so long) đ„șâ€
I really enjoy your vlogs! I donât keep up with CZcams as much these days, but I always catch up with your channel. Your vlogs help me relax!
I love the combo of daily/weekly vlogs and specific topics!!! I love seeing life in Toronto because Iâve only been to Niagara Falls in CA (Iâm from USA).
Can you please share how you stay focused with working from home and as a self employed boss lady! Thanks!
Just remember that having it all is euphemism for doing it all
I know you might be self conscious about your content but honestly. I love whatever you put out. I didnât even notice that youâve been doing more vlogs but thatâs because I love your vlogs so it didnât feel out of place. Take care of yourself and know we love the videos you make.
Adding to the throng of voices saying I love your content and haven't at all found it to be in any way lacking lately (or ever). đ
Caitlin, I appreciate you and your videos so much! Iâve gotten in the habit of putting your videos on while I meal prep and clean for the week ahead, and it feels like I have a sister or best friend along with me. Thanks for being you!!
I am HONOURED to be your meal prep buddy....thanks for being here, Megan đâ€
Love Canada, love your vlogs, everything's already perfect. Enjoy this time in your life so much ~ it will be one of your favorite memories as you get older.
â€â€â€ thank-you so much!
I usually don't really leave comments on peoples videos, but this time I felt like sharing my thoughts. First of all I will never not be excited for a new video of yours, no matter what kind of video it is.
I understand and relate to what you're saying a lot, but people not only come to your videos, because they enjoy your content, they just really like your personality and that is visible in every video!
Take good care of yourself and a step back if you need to so you can take a deep breath before you more on. Striving for perfection will always lead to disappointment, so trying to be a bit better is good enough.
Love your videos and I hope you will find some inner peace about this soon!
It seems you have more stringent expectations of yourself than we viewers do. Part of the reason I watch your channel is precisely BECAUSE you have laidback vlogs about your life. I tend to shy away from channels that have only slick, highly-produced content. You're capitalizing on one of the very things that makes CZcams different from other "entertainment" streams: you get to be a real person and we get to enjoy seeing life from your unique vantage point! Your vlogs and more casual offerings are what enriches the more-structured content. So keep doing what works for you right now. We're all here because we like spending time in your world and with you, whatever that looks like. Don't make life harder for yourself on our account! :-)
Just to add to the general masses here ... I really enjoy your vlogs and the variety you show us in your life..... I too have been to the theatre for the first time in a couple of years this week, showing my age ( 70! ) Iâll admit to going to see Bat Out of Hell, the Musical! It was loud and happy and rock n roll and made me very happy! Also love your book stuff ....Where The Crawdads Sing was one of my favourite reads of last year and , on your recommendation, this week I bought Book Lovers.
Generations eh? Love how we all connect đ
Jean!! Reading your comment brought the biggest smile to my face....I haven't seen that musical yet so I'll have to add it to my list.
I totally agree, I donât know my 3-5 year plan either. Itâs tough, but no one has all the answers and I keep trying to remind myself of that â„ïž
Part 1 of comment: Caitlin I have been loving your content lately. Love the blogs. Please keep it up if it brings you joy.
Part 2: I just got back from a trip to Montreal and I can totally picture you living there with the brick buildings and the balconies! You must go there
hey caitlin, I love how you talked about how you feel like you want to put up content that is more quality or meaningful, because we all go thru periods of time like this, where were not fully satsifed with what we're creating. somethign that's really helped me is sometimes allowing yourself to try diff things in this season of life, and see what you actually CAN do and what you WANT to create as well đ€ I love your channel sm btw!!
I adore your vlogs and still they feel meaningful every dang time! I can imagine that you want to put out different forms of content in the sense of topics and such but your honesty about your doubts already make this video super special (sounds worse than I intended LOL) â I love how open you always are! It was so nice to see you in these social activities too. They must be personal so I'm enjoying you sharing them with us. I hope the Summer trip will give your head some time to rest and if you need rest sooner, honestly skip a video! We will be here anytime đ
same!!
Always so appreciative of your comments đ And thank you for reminding me to take those rests when I need it!
@@caitlinmariedasilva
Vlogs are my favorite videos of yours, for all itâs worthâ€ïž
I always look forward to watching your videos at the end of the week. As a twenty-something, I definitely relate to feeling like figuring out your life plan is all on you. I have no solution but I appreciate your openness- it makes me feel less crazy lol.
We're all just humans with 24/7 question marks đ€Ș
Woah, didn't realize I was so early. I love your vlogs and use your content in general to help me feel present in the world again. Your content is so comforting to me despite living a completely different life with different aesthetics and values.
†thanks so much for the kind words and support!
Caitlin, I rarely comment here, but I need you to know how much enjoyment I get from your content. I found you through a planning video and stayed for YOU. You are a calm, beautiful soul inside & out. Humble, honest and pretty cool imho. Love your vibe and your energy. When life is stressing me out, or I'm feeling uninspired with my own content creation I come here to unplug and get inspired. Thank you!! â€
Lori, you got me emotional over here. These kind words are TREMENDOUSLY appreciated....thank you, thank you, thank you!
Iâve truly been loving your content lately! I was just bragging to my husband this week how well youâve transitioned from just journaling to a mixture of many things. Youâre doing great! God bless!
Oh I really appreciate that .....always been really important for me not to just be a journaling channel, so I'm glad that's come across đ„șđ
I really needed the reminder that *perfect* balance does not exist. Being balanced is a continuous process that should always be a part of your life. Not necessarily the main focus, but always at least on the backburner
I love your vlogs and I want you to know that you are enough!! I'm also super type A and a total perfectionist to a fault. Your vlogs make me so happy and I have used your bujo spreads in college and now in my grown up/med school life. Thank you for all you do!
I love just getting to sit for a quiet morning with my coffee and meal planning, watching these videos, thanks
Ooh, I just read a sample of "So not meant to be", will get that as the first book I buy on my Kindle đ
Okay you got me teary at the end there.. sniff sniff. Its so amazing that we can all get together like you said with all living busy lives and also have the best time ever! Side note: chewing gum also gives me a headache lol
We are SO lucky! Love our family đđ
Mind blown that you guys are cousins!!!
I loved this vlog. You always put out great content in my opinion x
I wish I could give this a 10000000 likes. I love your vlogs and you, I always come visit your channel to see if you upload or catch up on previous videos. You are basically the only vlogger I look up to. Saludos from Mexico!!!
Life is just too short. Enjoy it! I love your videos. I miss the journaling. I used to bullet journal but havenât been in it. Itâs a good creative outlet. I did it to keep busy but also to just enjoy the creative process. I like your journaling videos that youâve done. Miss that. But not everyoneâs life follows the same path it used to. Life happens.
Notion usually helps mith my memory, I don't have any so I list everything down that is important and not important in notion and then see what works and what doesn't I can write mini-reviews or know I need to buy something again
You are amazing and the most creative planner youtube, I watch a lot of vĂdeos and I'm always excited to see yours. Love your vlogs too. I know it's a lot of work being original and creative so thank you for the fantastic effort
So cool that you got to see Aly and AJ. I loved them in my teens and it's cool that they are coming back with new music. I agree on being in a city to have access to events. I just moved back to the suburbs of Philadelphia and that was one of my reasons for moving back. Already my weekends are filling up with fun events to attend and it's exciting. Also great to see things being more "normal" after the last couple years.
their new music is really good too !! hearing them play some disney channel classics was also very nostalgic âș And yes, it's one of my favourite parts about being in this city!
Aww, what a great ending to the vlog đ„čđ„č
Meaningful or not, I personally watch CZcams videos as a way to relax after long weeks of classes and I really enjoy just seeing how you have been up to in TO. I and many other subscribers have been asking for weekly vlogs and this is that so definitely going to keep on supporting your channel!
â€â€â€ thanks Emma!
I love your vlogs so much Caitlin! i'm moving out on my own for the first time this fall and i feel like I"m able to learn a lot just from watching you
†thank-you! And wow, what an exciting chapter, good luck with the moving-out process! You got this! âș
@@caitlinmariedasilva aww thanks for responding!! and yes, echoing everyone else in the comments, I literally love your vlogs, they're like a warm hug. tbh you could post a 20 min video of you just rambling or doing nothing and I would still love it đ„°
Thank you for protecting my ears. LOL. Cousins are the best. Youâre blessed to have them.
Hi Caitlin! I donât often find myself commenting on CZcams however, your vulnerability spoke to me. Iâm from Canada and have been watching your content for years, youâre my favourite CZcamsr. Vlogs have always been my favourite videos to watch; theyâre reminders of how beautiful the everyday is, theyâre soothing in a fast paced world and they have lovely thoughtful moments I sometimes come back and replay when I need them. I hope you know your efforts are appreciated and they make my day better! Thank you for sharing and I wish you the time to find what you need
Thank you SO SO much for this comment, Amber....it warmed my heart †I love putting out vlogs so I'm glad that they are seen in this beautiful way....helps ease my worry that they're a waste of everyone's time đ
I am from Kenya and I really love your videos keep up the good work
Thanks so much đ„čâ€ïž
I love your vlogs! Have you ever considered writing recipes on your blog? Would be great!
What are you talking about, best blog ever.
I havenât been around your channel that long but your weekly video is what I look forward to for my Saturday morning coffee time. Your content is relaxing/motivating/inspiring all at the same time. Also, Iâm 44-probably not your average audience age. In fact, we probably couldnât be more different! So my two cents-keep doing what youâre doing. Or switch it up. I think weâll all be here for whatever you do đ
Appreciate this so much, Katie ! Thanks for being here đ
oh dear, didn't realize Aly and AJ are still making music - need to check it out :)
I have a lot of cousins in their 40s, it's mostly because my maternal grandparents had like 5 kids, and my mum is the youngest, so by the time my mum was born all except maybe one or two had left home. And it's the same on my dad's side too, my paternal grandparents had 3 kids (one is my half-uncle from my grandpa's previous marriage) and my dad is the youngest, so like my cousins on my dad's side I think the oldest is in their 40s maybe? Late 30s? It's tough because like I get along with all my cousins, but I'm only really close with like four of them (two from each side) because they're closer to me in age.
what makes you buy a book versus getting from public library? I mean I know your space is limited, but let's say that wasn't an issue.
From all your content what I love THE most is your vlogs đ Also, it was super weird seeing that in other countries people are back to normal, because here in Chile we are still with Covid going on strong đ„ Anyway, keep the vlogs coming, please!!! đđ
â€â€â€ it's such a weird season of life for the world.....sending my love to you in Chile, Marcela!
@@caitlinmariedasilva Thanks!!! đâ€
I did not realize I was this early, I'm just on my lunch break!
happy accident, haha!
You could always show "holes in the wall" around the city that's accessible by walking/subway, including hikes and what not? That'll give you both content and time for yourself đ€
Where did you get that phone case?đ
I loved Normal People! I need to pick up âWhere the Crawdads Singâ!
The first one đ€žđ€ž
đđđ
Not sure if you follow Flourish Planner on CZcams, but her recent June plan with me video might really resonate with you! She talks about taking a reset week to focus solely on the long term planning of her career - might be worth the watch!đ
Kinda surprised Matthew didnât go to the karaoke
I want to also come over here and say that I have no idea how you feel bad about the content youâre putting out lately because I can definitely see the evolution in your style, your editing even the music! Also I feel like what you are going through is very humanly and expecting so much from yourself getting all these answers alone is very heavy. Being more practical I really believe you do not need to do all of this alone! A more personal solution could be some therapy sessions or one on a business level could be an advisor! Hope you will read this and it will be helpful đ all in all no need to lift all the weight alone!
Would also like to tell you that watching your videos is a weekly routine for my Saturday morning (I live in a very different time zone đ) and vlogs are very comforting theyâre not bad content!
Does balance exist when you're a content creator? I have no idea, but I'd love to find it. There's so much pressure to produce-produce-produce and even more so when you work for yourself. I suspect the answer is to try to be authentic and do it at a speed that leaves time for life stuff. If that means slower growth, at least it's sustainable and happier.
I think our society nowadays puts so much pressure on people to "have a plan" and I've never been one of those people. I've tried creating goals in the past, but I've learned that type of planning doesn't work for me. I think it's perfectly fine to be happy with where you're at, enjoying the day to day. If you're always focused on the future, you run the risk of not enjoying the present. All that to say... if you think creating a "5 year plan" or whatever will serve you, that's cool, do that. But if you only want to do it because you think you're supposed to...I think it's just fine to not do that also!
Girl I 100% understand the fear of not knowing where a bug wentâŠiâll kill it, fine, but if it disappears my anxiety goes up 200%
It happened once with a house centipede⊠đ
I wish I liked working out at home. I always feel such an idiot working out.
it's your channel and you, of course, will decide but the problem with "meaningful" content is that it's somewhat boring or maybe doesn't give us what we need - distraction. your vlogs are always very interesting even if they show more mundane things and I think it's because of your personality always sparkling through :)
Thank you for your vulnerability! As someone who has been a consistent viewer for years, I would like to say that I have always found all of your content, including vlogs, to be âmeaningful.â There is a lot to take away from a fellow gal in her 20âs just living life, being open, and documenting both the highs and lows. Please do not de-value that. đ€
You're so right, Shannon...as a viewer of content, I LOVE watching vlogs.... but I sometimes lose sight as a creator as to why they can be so powerful....thanks for encouraging me to see them in a different light đ
