We have a few FAFSA infographics in Spanish as well as Spanish captioning for some of our videos: studentaid.gov/resources

I’m about to fill the FAFSA on DEC 2023 My son is graduating in may 2024. But I haven’t filed my 2023 taxes I have an extension and plan to file them in 2024, The only tax forms that I have are from 2021. What can I do?

Fill them out anyway. It will ask you if you plan to file for 2023. But if you are filling out the form in 2023, they will ask you for 2022 info.

No matter how little money you report in the FAFSA application you will not get a grant. What you will get is a silly number, they 'magically' calculate called the Expect Family Contribution, which means that based on what you reported you should be able to come up the amount shown in the EFC for college. They do not say how they calculate the EFC... and basically they don't have any money for you... maybe you'll gonna get a loan. Which seems to me to be evidence of predatory lending.

      I got approved for the 6,800.00 grant and a 9500.00 $ loan

How much did you make? My son received a full grant. He applied on his own without my info. I did not claim him as a dependent in anticipation of his requesting The Pell Grant.
