This is a great summary of the US-Taiwan relations. Taiwan has found a very competent ambassador in Ms. Hsiao. Great work.

@@robertos4876 How does she serve the people in Taiwan? Her boss Tsai said the labour class was the softest part in her heart. After she got elected, she served the interest of the employers, aka her campaign funders.
US allow Ractopamine to be used on pigs to reduce fat percentage in pork. The main animal protein source in Chinese diet is pork, unlike in US, therefore Chinese government allow ZERO ractopamine in pork. Taiwan did not allow US pork either, but Tsai lifted the restriction and allow "democrstic Taiwan's" food safety standard lower than the "authoritarian China".
So how did Ms Hsiao serve Taiwan people? Protecting their "freedom"? Of choosing cheating leaders?

@@junyuanma4243, the Tsai administration serves all of the country of Taiwan not just one particular class because there is no class warfare in Taiwan unlike your country. While Taiwan has raised the minimum wage every year, the business class supported this policy because it's a win-win for everyone. That's why the unemployment rate has never exceeded 3.4% all through the six years of this administration, during which the GDO per capita has grown 5% every year and is on tap to catch up wiith that of Japan in 2027. We have Ractopamine in pork and beef, not just the former so don't throw your race theory in to this conversation . Your government lies all the time. Taiwan has set the standard for the ractopamine residue ten time more stringent than that of the EU. There is no argument about this policy internationally speaking. Your government can say whatever they want while doing the opposite and you Chinese people have no ways to check whether you are eating ractopamine

@@robertos4876 LMFAO. Taiwanese companies are famous for their stingy in mainland China. The reason why Taiwan has low unemployment rate is because of mainland China. 2 million Taiwan people are living in mainland, 1/4 of them in Shanghai. Mainland is also purchasing Taiwan goods which can be replaced by goods from mainland producers. Pineapples were among them.
Though GDP is supposed to be include economic activities within Taiwan only, when the statistic department in TW collect data, the numbers they got from TW companies include a large part of businesses in mainland. TW companies used accounting skills to move the numbers to Taiwan for tax or other concerns. Therefore GDP in Taiwan is highly overvalued.
As for class issue, there are always class issue in "democratic" "countries". Win-win is not said by your mouth. DPP was talking nicely for the policy they against after elected.
One more knowledge, there is no such thing as "president of all people". Ever seen "not my president" slogan against trump? If you go for voting politics, the result of the voting only represent a part of the people. It's straightforward common sense.

Wow, Ms Hsiao was talking about grey-zone tactics! You know why she's so good at alleging others for using that? Because DPP, the ruling party in Taiwan, has been using this tactic from 1980s to turn Taiwan people into pro-independent. In 1990s, it was still quite normal for TW people to say that they are Chinese, but DPP launched a "love Taiwan" slogan to add people's exposure to the word Taiwan as an identity and to bypass Chinese cultural influence. They stimulated the very basic popularism in TW, got elected and reduced Chinese elements in education, thus make more silly kids who doesn't know what China is and who were surprised to hear Fujian people speaking the same dailect (they call it Taiwanese language).
    That's true grey-zone tactic.

Before Taiwan's democratization, it is forbidden to support Taiwan independence. I am sure if you pool Chinese today, you will see over 99% support the Chinese Communist Party, only fool will believe that's the true representation of what people think!
