Started playing towards the end of May, since the beginning completeing the kiln was a big goal for me and finally got it unlocked and got my cape first try with your video! Not sure if anyone will be seeing this in 2022 but thank you!

Another really useful thing for kiln if anyone is seriously struggling with food or just a lower level player is to bring a stack of magnetic minnows. It’s not efficient by any means but it can provide unlimited hp in a single inventory slot.
One tip I have for the final boss is consuming an invulnerability crystal right before the head pops up, and using onslaught with soul split. You can do this every other time. Should be dead on the 3rd. So save 2 invulnerability crystals for the end. I'm sure there are faster methods, but this is a very straightforward way to make sure you are damaging the boss a lot.
@@TheSach102 Pick the corner with the least amount of tentacles and kill all but 1 (if you dont want to stall ur adrenaline manually). I would just turn auto retaliate off if it's on, build up to 100% adren, and let a single tentacle hit you while you just stand there.

Nice! Awesome guide my man. I went in there on my first attempt ever and was able to clear it with plenty of food/resources remaining. Pretty much followed the guide to a T and it worked out great for me. I was super intimated by the fight kiln for so long because I remember getting destroyed doing the fight caves for the firecape 4 years ago or so. Honestly the only time I ever even came close to dying was from the damn Dils (Shocker I know).

Great guide. I sadly died on wave 36 as I didn't have a vulnerability crystal and both Jad's aggrod me with a different combat style. Hope to try it again tomorrow!
@@samconroyy On a scale of 1 being never picked up a bronze dagger to 10 being solo'ing nex, I'm probably somewhere around a 5.5. I'm just now delving into pvm and it took me many attempts ~2012 to get my first fire cape. That being said, my acct is max combat stats and after 200mxp slayer, my focus has shifted to pvm. Kiln is no joke, but the guide dispels a lot of the mystery and knowledge is power. Definitely start with the pit and get the obsidian armour - helps tremendously. For example, mucking up prayer switch on jad doesn't pk you - it hurts, but easily recoverable. The critters in tzhaar are ominous and it adds to their intimidating presence. But at the end of the day... the mechanics are extremely predictable and unlike most of the bosses, dying doesn't cost you 1mgp visit to death. I also strongly recommend research eoc - there are several good channels on youtube that cover the action bar, key binding, defensive abilities tied with shield switching, etc. And the kiln is not the venue to first try them out. Good luck and don't fret the kiln, give it a try and you can always tele if you get to a wave that's confounding you and go back to the guide(s) for further clarification.
Just made it through with melee, as I have no soulsplit the biggest help I had was vampirism aura stacked with a scrimshaw of vampirism, didn't have to eat at all during the run (so only used weapon poison +++, 2 overloads and 2 or 3 super restoration potions). Still shaking from the anxiety towards the end!

@@ravouswintersong6205 Nice! It's because I tried getting Fire Cape two times a few days ago. I died to Jad both times and it's not because I didn't know what to do. I watched Protoxx's Jad guides. But the problem is my reaction was severely reduced due to panic and fear lol. I wasn't able to react fast enough to counter Jad with Prayer. I also used Melee. Which meant I had to pay attention to 3 types of counters rather than just two. I'm gonna try Jad sometime later but with range. In the meantime, I'm debating if I should get Abomination Cape lol. Still rocking the outdated Obsidian Cape.
@@raptordcuo6879 keybinding your prayers works like a charm, all you have to do is keep your fingers on the 3 buttons and put the rest on auto. Melee on all the time, switch to ranged or magic only when telegraphed, then switch back to melee. Should be fine like that 😊. Personally dont play RS anymore because of the double experience events and freebies thrown around, firecape was one of the few things left that gave me a real sense of achievement. No fun reaching max lvl on all combat stats in a single day (melee, ranged, prayer, hp & magic all maxed in a single day of the event, summoning from 1 to 80ish the day after, quit after that). Good to see the game's still fun for other people tho, got great memories of Rs from pre-2005, after which I started playing WoW.
Tip: If you're using obsidian armor, bring the corresponding weapons and helmets for other styles. The big dinosaur-looking guys can be a pain if you're using melee/ranged but absolutely fold against magic. Same goes for the big lava dogs that shoot fire out their tail -- use a ranged weapon and they're nothing. I'd also recommend your backup helmet/weapons to be ammo-less to save inventory space, so something like a zaryte bow and/or polypore staff if you can afford it. And don't worry, as long as you stick to one style for the majority of the Kiln, you'll still get your desired cape.

It's been 3 years since I did the Fight Kiln but I only completed it once and I got the ranged cape. Now I want to get the other 2 capes and I'm really glad that I watched this video to prep me for the fight.
Thanks for the solid guide! Got all three capes now. Granted melee took 3 tries since the first two I died to the dills trying to pray them and rip them in mass for soul split heals (not recommended) but after pulling my head out of my ass and actually fully paying attention to the guide I knocked them out all one after the other.
Got my cape so thanks! I used 2 invulnerability crystals on wave 36 (2 jads), and the last wave is smooth sailing. Just stood in a corner, afk soul split and hit the boss whenever he popped up.
The trick I do for the final boss is that I actually hang out at the edges so that not all the tentacles would attack me. Will make it much easier for novices or if you somehow are running low on food.

Just got my ranged cape on my first attempt. I definitely over prepped I ended with plenty of brew left and rock tails at 83 defence. The double jad didn't safe spot so I had to double flick thankfully their attacks were perfectly staggered. I saved an invulnerability crystal for it and it was great. Guide was very helpful especially being a mobile-locked account. Just got my ranged cape! Only ever killed 1 had with a dart, did a legit run to qualify, got to the end, ended up darting again.. definitely a great guide and feel way more comfortable giving the mage and melee runs a shot without darting
YESSIR ! Thanks for the guide, had trouble with the w35 jad, I kept getting bombarded before, but just waiting for him to attack and killing meleer was just what I needed to know! Next 2 capes coming up
@@NautilusRift I probably averaged 50 mins. Mage and ranged went faster. Melee was a bit slower. I would definitely use the sped up wave spawning from the beginning though.

Was rough my first go through as I left on auto retaliate and kept walking into melee distance of Jad but after I turned it off and carefully positioned in the middle this became super easy. In fact the only difficult part is positioning for each Jad. The final boss is an easy dps check. Thank you for the guide !
Been playing off and on since 2001 and I have never even gotten a fire cape. I'm maxed but just haven't been able to get into bossing. Got both the fire cape and mage kiln cape today! I'm hoping to get the Zuk cape before the AD nerf. Thanks for the guides!
Great guide it’s the best guide I manage to get my first kill with range and only did it with 4 sailfish on the haraken fight which is easy The 2x jad is the hardest part of the challenge

Thanks to your guidance I finally got my first ever Kiln Cape (Magic One), now I’m on to get the Ranged and Melee ones. I have a strategy for my Melee cape run hopefully it doesn’t ruin it.
The only thing I did not hear you mention (probably since this is an update) was that if doing it for the first time you need to sacrifice a fire cape. Great guide! I'll get around to it someday.
Been doing nex duos with a clannie and decided to get the ranged cape. Excellent guide since I would have screwed up by not having a pickaxe in my toolbelt to deal with the Dills. Hopefully this will speed our kills up by just that little bit!. Thanks!
Obliteration staff doesnt have t90 accuracy, it has t87 accuracy and t87 damage, I think you are confusing it with the cywir wand and orb. Also saradomin brews decrease stats when used with grand potions which dont restore stats every 10 seconds like overloads, so it might be usefull to use super guthix/guthix restores instead as it doesnt decrease stats and have a decent heal. Great guide other wise :).
Although I have beaten this before (a long time ago) I just used this video as a rough guide to get the other capes. I completely underestimated the difficulty and almost got annihilated during the double Jad phase since I forgot that the invincibility crystals even existed. Both Jads used a ranged attack whilst I was praying mage and somehow both missed. Completely winged that wave. Luckily the final phase is completely do-able without prayers if you have the vamp aura (in fact it's a bit of a joke). Thanks for this guide, though. I would recommend if you are a high level and have a high gear setup like I did then still bring excalibur/elven shard just in case you do go through your pots, they are handy extras!
I tried to do this and then my pack yak familiar died towards wave 30 from running out of time. So I had to go through the food that was on the floor wisely. But then I got to wave 35 and when I used one of the crystals near the middle side of the rock to fight the melee monster Jad somehow stomped and hit me with a fireball through the wall and it killed me. Lol. So I’ll have to try this again and bring an extra pack yak pouch even though I probably won’t need it.

Died at wave 35 of fight kiln, it was my first attempt, i could have used my crystals but i choked, damn this is frustrating, so much time wasted Update 1: Just got another fire cape to discover it will not consume more fire capes till i get a tokHarr lol Update 2: I died again on wave 35 Update 3: Third attemp and i finally got it, almost didn't use any food or brews, vampyrism aura and safe spot did all the job, and i only used one crystal on wave 35, lol i can't believe i choked this minigame 2 times, just a tip, if the HP crystal is active, the other crystals will not work

in the final fight, you can hug the wall to take less damage and surge to har-aken when he comes up. saves a decent amount of food tbh :p

Been playing off and on since 2001 and I have never even gotten a fire cape. I'm maxed but just haven't been able to get into bossing. Got both the fire cape and mage kiln cape today! I'm hoping to get the Zuk cape before the AD nerf. Thanks for the guides!

I manage to get my first kill with range and only did it with 4 sailfish on the haraken fight which is easy
The 2x jad is the hardest part of the challenge

Thanks to your guidance I finally got my first ever Kiln Cape (Magic One), now I’m on to get the Ranged and Melee ones. I have a strategy for my Melee cape run hopefully it doesn’t ruin it.

The only thing I did not hear you mention (probably since this is an update) was that if doing it for the first time you need to sacrifice a fire cape. Great guide! I'll get around to it someday.

Been doing nex duos with a clannie and decided to get the ranged cape. Excellent guide since I would have screwed up by not having a pickaxe in my toolbelt to deal with the Dills. Hopefully this will speed our kills up by just that little bit!. Thanks!
Obliteration staff doesnt have t90 accuracy, it has t87 accuracy and t87 damage, I think you are confusing it with the cywir wand and orb. Also saradomin brews decrease stats when used with grand potions which dont restore stats every 10 seconds like overloads, so it might be usefull to use super guthix/guthix restores instead as it doesnt decrease stats and have a decent heal. Great guide other wise :).
if using the guthix why not just use rock tail since it heals more anyway?

followed this guide and got the 3 capes for magic ranged and melee in 3 hours
Although I have beaten this before (a long time ago) I just used this video as a rough guide to get the other capes. I completely underestimated the difficulty and almost got annihilated during the double Jad phase since I forgot that the invincibility crystals even existed. Both Jads used a ranged attack whilst I was praying mage and somehow both missed. Completely winged that wave. Luckily the final phase is completely do-able without prayers if you have the vamp aura (in fact it's a bit of a joke). Thanks for this guide, though. I would recommend if you are a high level and have a high gear setup like I did then still bring excalibur/elven shard just in case you do go through your pots, they are handy extras!

I tried to do this and then my pack yak familiar died towards wave 30 from running out of time. So I had to go through the food that was on the floor wisely. But then I got to wave 35 and when I used one of the crystals near the middle side of the rock to fight the melee monster Jad somehow stomped and hit me with a fireball through the wall and it killed me. Lol. So I’ll have to try this again and bring an extra pack yak pouch even though I probably won’t need it.
nice guide got all the x3 klin capes from first attempts only with melee i had to change the saradomin brews to super saradomin brews

Died at wave 35 of fight kiln, it was my first attempt, i could have used my crystals but i choked, damn this is frustrating, so much time wasted
Update 1: Just got another fire cape to discover it will not consume more fire capes till i get a tokHarr lol
Update 2: I died again on wave 35
Update 3: Third attemp and i finally got it, almost didn't use any food or brews, vampyrism aura and safe spot did all the job, and i only used one crystal on wave 35, lol i can't believe i choked this minigame 2 times, just a tip, if the HP crystal is active, the other crystals will not work
