- On February 21, 2017, The Moody College of Communication hosted UT System Chancellor William H. McCraven for the inaugural event of the Communication and Leadership Speaker Series. The speaker series is the public showcase event of the new communication and leadership degree program in the Moody College of Communication. Launched in 2016, it is an interdisciplinary program that seeks to educate and inspire future leaders to effect positive change in our complicated world.
Before McRaven (B.J. ’77) was an admiral in the U.S. Navy, commander of the U.S. Special Operations Command and chancellor of The University of Texas System, he studied in the School of Journalism. At the event, McRaven spoke about the relevance and importance of communication and the unique role higher education plays in developing tomorrow’s leaders.

Admiral McRaven SIR that seal that left his finger in the trigger knew HE made a mistake and let the group down. THAT’S what he felt. When you do something like that, that mistake goes to your very core. You loose your value to yourself. I say this with all due respect SIR.

Some people they found out Admiral William MCRAVEN great leaders we are strongly believe great leaders for everyone they never ever thinking wrong statement or treat people differently & they never ever said only my people or my country or my community or my job we found out theier speech very beneficial to everyone, we wished we learned learned from young ages still we are very very lucky enough never ever too lat always we trust the God any situation we are in & as one our followers Doctor Wayne Dyer he said everything comes up our way something greater from the God we are strongly believe in that statement God he knows everything unseen including your attention nothing hiding from it.
