Why Doesn't Career Mode Have These Decade Old FIFA Manager Features

- You might not know that EA used to publish a Football Manager rival. It worked the exact same way as FM, you picked the team, you chose the tactics then you watched the games without playing.
These games stopped being made in 2013, but over the last decade, FM has slowly been taking features that EA were first to use. The list of firsts is actually quite long, it includes Team Dynamics, Player Communications and it even includes a pretty good looking 3D match engine, that FM still hasn't graphically matched.
But this got me thinking. EA knows exactly how these features worked. They know they add quality to the product, so why aren't they already in Career Mode? Lets look at 10 features that EA have developed in the past, but still haven't included in FIFA over a decade later.

I hate that when you loan out players to other leagues, you have no clue how they are doing and if they are even playing at all

they should have longer years more than 15 for sure
The fact that we have those interviews before and after the match with the same options over and over again for a few years now and they haven't even bothered to pre-record some voice lines to choose from tells me how much they care about the career mode. You look at the character wobbling something with his mouth but it's quite obvious that's got nothing to do with the whole text that's written underneath. Also I remember in 07 and 08 we use to receive sponsorship deals from different companies with a total budget of x amount or some percentage based on performance. Now the budget system it's a whole clusterfuck which I still fail to understand how on earth it really works plus they took the wage/transfer budget slider which made things even worse.
Some of those stats you mentioned like pass accuracy and distance covered over the whole season WAS actually in FIFA at one time, it was definitely in FIFA 10, even stats like saves caught/saves parried by your goalkeeper, and tackle success by your defenders.

At bare minimum I wish career mode had more sandbox like features that are not only possible but extremely easy to implement a prime example is unsackable/no manager objectives because for anyone playing a career mode in the English leagues knows how frustrating it is to get the objective to make it to the round of 16 in the fa cup while in a league one or two side then drawing a prem team especially if you’re doing a simulation career it ruins it
Untill career mode players stop buying the next FC, EA won't do anything to manager mode...
I'm not buying FC25 unless career mode gets some love from EA.
If you won’t buy it for career mode they will just cut that mode out lmao

@@agustin5650 yep, true. Hope the rumours about 2k making a football game are true. I know their online modes are actually a casino but offline modes are alright and also competition is always good
@@DoDoAirplane as someone who really enjoys NBA2K version of ‘ultimate team’, I can confirm it is heaps better (without spending money). They mix a good blend of game modes with relevant rewards across the season for both offline and online modes. 2K could* do bits with a football game!
I hate how there’s not a catalogue of free agents. The likes of Axel Tuanzebe were missed of this years starting roster due to being attached, which is really bad. They need high profile free agents, not just those in national teams.

FIFA Manager was made by a German(afaik) 3rd party studio. They used the FIFA license while making the games.
You say there's no downside to playing with a bunch of 16 year olds, but I'll give you one: they rarely generate with any good defensive stats. So many times, even if they're a CB or CDM, their defense stat is only 20-45 with dribbling or pace being higher. They end up being 43 rated with 94 potential, but once you switch their position to one that actually compliments their strengths (usually pace and dribbling) they shoot up like 8-10 overall. It sometimes feels impossible to generate the next Chiellini or Puyol because these youth players just generate in the wrong position when you're looking for "Any."
Because since they introduced VC they don't care about CM it's evident year upon year

Yes they did. It was a randomly generated thing that would happen from time to time. You also would have players from other countries that occasionally would not want to sign for your club because they didn't want to leave their home county.

I'd like more realism when comes to transfers or matches, when I quick sim and I am Manchester City in a cup I got beaten up by Bristol Rovers 3-1 or sum and I hate seeing Varane to Spurs, Pedri or Gavi to PSG for 130M etc
