    As far as the rod holder, put some sand in the bucket after you have all the pvc in it to prevent tipping from uneven weight distribution. It will keep the bottom down and make it harder to tip

    • @Mrshhh253
      @Mrshhh253 Před rokem

      In stead of hard bolting the pvc to the bucket i did the pvc thread with a plastic nut. i use a foam washer on both sides of the bucket. i keep my fishing gear in the bucket for weight. when the poles are out and i get a hard bite the rod holder part pivets down and wont flip the bucket.

    Great ideas Kieth. I made a filter for my home bait tank out of a regular 5 gallon bucket and it cracked pretty easily where I plumbed into the side of it so I got one of those square ones and re did it. Those are thicker and more durable, it’s working out great now.

    for the bucket lids... usually different colors indicate that they're made out of different grades of plastic. Is the Amazon lid a "food safe"? That would explain why it's more expensive...
    But sometimes Amazon is just a rip off too!

    appreciate your comment also....watched a whole bunch of your videos....great info and good knowledge.....i also use PVC tubes to store my poles with their subiki (6) hook lines that always seem to get caught on anything in my van...Curtains , Blankets ,rug etc....what a pain when you have to unhook the hooks every-time they are not stored in the PVC tube...pole slides right in and then right out when ready to fish without getting hooked on anything.....thanks again..

      @@FishinNStuff turn a 5 gallon bucket top side down on a peice of board, draw a circle around it. Mark across the center of the circle and cut out half of the circle. Place the half circle inside top edge of bucket and put 3 wood screws through the side of bucket into the peice of wood. Use the half piece of wood as a cutting board for catfish cut baits and the bucket holds the bait pieces and keeps the boat cleaner.

      Found an "On-Sale" power source (20,100 mahour) at Wally World, for $12.88, and at the same time they had some of those TV "Surround Lites" that change colors (LED's on the "sticky-strip") for $5. Bought 2 of them, put the strips on 2 boards, plugged them in, and they last about 6 to 8 hours on "Green" color (the color I use for night fishing). Seemed to work better than no light at all, and I can use all that on my kayak or dock fishing. Kids at the pier liked to play with the controller, making the light automatically change colors (you KNOW how "Kids Are"!). Haha! They aren't water-proof, but I haven't had any trouble with them (one of the controllers went "Deep-Six", though!).

    Bucket hack 17.1. I use a bucket for watering newly planted trees and bushes. Drill a hole in the bottom "side" edge. Make it a wee bit smaller than a screw. Fill your bucket full of water, set next to the growing little fella. Take out the screw and BAM! You now have a way to trickle water your new little buddy!!!

    Love your channel. I use my 1 bucket for holding bait for trotlines. Then wash it out and use it to wash down the front deck. We throw water on the deck to help keep the deck (metal boat) cooler. Fill your livewell faster and clean it out. Keep a small bottle of Dawn dish soap. It cuts the stink and slim out of the well. Plus it cut oil from your engine bay.
