    Thank you for profiling Kitabi Seminary.
    Since 1935. Kitabi Seminary first opened its gates on February 15, 1935 with 22 students/seminarians who had passed class IV (Arithmetic, History, Religion, geography, Hygiene, Swahili, Agriculture and Nature study) from the vicariate that covered the Western Uganda sub regions of Ankole, Bunyoro, Kigezi & Tooro.
    Since 1935, thousands of young boys have had the opportunity to be students at the Seminary. Many are out there as leaders of the catholic church, the nation, in Parliament, Judiciary and the Executive. Many others are in positions of influence in the fields of science, education, international and national Civil Society, multinational corporations, International Agencies, Private Sector among other fields.
    As the Kitabi Seminary Old Boys' Association, it is our pledge to ensure that our members continue to be rightful members of the society.

    Wow. I am so excited about my Alma Mater featuring @HighSchoolsAfrica. I spent here a cool six years of highschool; 1990-1996.
    But I am intrigued about the detail about Paul Kagame who didnt study here. It's some of his former commanders like Gen. Charles Kayonga and Maj. Alphonse Furuma. Great job guys!!

    To be honest for that school to be controlled by the catholic church the classroom blocks still looks very outdated and not maintained to the highest standards for a catholic institution. But I guess for Africa they consider that high standards.but I guarantee that school anywhere else in the world would be more modernized.

    • @Kiriza22
      @Kiriza22 Před 7 měsíci +1

      What is important is the performance of the school. Just check how you are writing your English, but you are criticizing the buildings!

    • @theg4520
      @theg4520 Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@Kiriza22 I am just simply making a comparison to the other catholic schools around the world let alone its a seminary school for making and training new priest. Did you see them old desk the students are using it look like there are from the 1940s and all the water stains on the class room walls. I guarantee you that you would not see those conditions at any other catholic school in any other part of the world. As far as the performance of school goes I can guarantee you that they are not being taught the same skills as other catholic institutions. Because they are not spending the same kind of money on that school.

      After 500 years of exploitation and abuse by your ancestors, do you expect Africa to measure up to your standards?.Its good enough to have a roof over our heads.
