Trip mines and s mines now ya talking totally agree with you and more enemy snipers that are hard to find like SE3 like you've said before the enemy snipers on SE5 might as well be shop dummies
Also all players should be able to use iron sights for all the sniper rifles. Plus all the ammo should look a bit different from one other. Including the match soft point and armor pieceing. Any WW2 historian will know this.
More missions & the M1 Garand. That's all I want.
Extra equipment like the trip mines & s-mines would be a bonus.
Already got the rifle and Grease gun all maxed up. Let me tell you, it’s MY opinion, that it is the BEST smg in the game. It is great for people like me who tend to like quiet SMGs that can still do tons of damage over GREAT BURSTS!
Have you tried the Welgun modified for accuracy?
I've managed to get the aim stability, recoil and spread accuracy stats down to 5, 5, 10 & 18cm for that loud, and 10, 8, 14 & 21cm suppressed (with a 10m lower audible range). I haven't found a combination for the Grease Gun that beats that, yet, and I think the Welgun does slightly more damage too.

ERMA.36, quieter, accurate and with low recoil. If you tune it for minimum noise you get it around 20 meters and it still functions perfectly fine as a full auto SMG. It's hard to argue for the Grease Gun over the Sten and Welgun as well if that's what you're looking for. Sten with the ability to throw a low zoom scope on it makes it much more reliable at range. The Welgun can be tuned for mobility just like the Grease Gun and is otherwise comparable and better in most aspects when tuned the same.
ERMA for audible range and in general it tends to have better DPS when tuned for audible range as well.
Welgun for mobility and accuracy.
Sten for the scope with many of the benefits of the Welgun.
The Grease gun doesn't really have anything that makes it special to call it best in slot sub. It's decent enough when firing over the shoulder, but it's iron sights are meh and it's overall stats are lacking when you configure other guns in a similar fashion.

I’d like to see smoke grenades/ flash bangs in mission.
How about the ability to call in an air strike of RAF Typhoons or USAAF P-47’s?
If the want a unique rifle how about the Boys anti tank rifle?
For the next campaign mission how about the V1 or V2 mobile launch sites or V3 underground cannon sites in northern France?
I find it kinda odd that the the Arisaka rifle, or the Tera rifle as it's officially called in SE5, doesn't come with a bayonet. I thought that the Japanese rifle would naturally come with a bayonet since the Japanese were known for their heavy use of Banzai bayonet charges during WW2.
Agree completely with your complaints about the content of the packs. I want variety in my weapons that change how I should be playing the game as pretty much all guns in this game feel the same and feel like reskins of existing guns.
A New difficulty can bring new life to the game, at this point i dont care if Authentic plus is fair I just want to feel challenged in this game.
I still want adjustable rear iron sights for going scopeless. Also, I like this version of the grease gun. It just feels right. Maybe its the sight picture.

Remember those OSS Missions in the original Medal of Honor games? Where you pretend to be a nazi and infiltrate german buildings? Very hitman, but I would love to see something like that in the next Sniper Elite game. Imagine infiltrating your way up a tower to do some sniping on faraway targets. Sounds like great fun to me.

Asymetric mode was original and fun on Sniper Elite 4. Don’t understand why it’s not included in SE5
Totally agree with your review and we obviously need more missions! A lot of missions to play both stealthy and very loud 😂
Your critique about the weapons - what other options are there left? I think we have all extremes covered so far. Getting a rifle that is more quiet or more powerfull (or whatever) than the top special rifles we already have doesn't make much sense. Or what would you have in mind? An air gun? ;) Still people want "this" gun or "that" in the game ...
Otherwise you're fully right. And one thing we haven't got is a completly new character to play. That would be a novelty!
More campaign missions
Return of the S-mines and Panzershreck to player loadouts
More weapons to play with, preferably unique ones in a way or the other
More enemies to kill on all maps
More sniper-friendly/less CQC-focused maps
Those are the 5 complaints/demands/requests we had for a whole year now.
So far the devs turned a deaf ear to most of those. Mission release schedule is way too slow, same goes for weapons (which are a mixed bag of good, bad and fairly average), the good ol' antipersonel mines from SE3 & 4 never made it back to SE5 and probably never will (because... reasons?), and maps are still empty and closed as f*ck...
At this point, and based on what I read in many comments and forums, it seems like a good chunk of the SE community is already mourning SE5 and waiting for a Sniper Elite 6 to turn the tables back to the solid basics set in SE4 expanded with 2023 tech and lessons from mistakes made - and oh boy did SE5 make quite a few...

Agree on the Grease Gun, except to add that the Welgun doesn't just do the same job, it does it a fair bit better in a loud configuration, or about the same suppressed as the Grease Gun does unsuppressed.
The TERA, I see as an M1 Carbine competitor, not really a Lee Enfield/SREM/RSC/Gewehr competitor. The muzzle velocity tricks you into thinking it's a mid-tier all rounder, but it's other attributes say otherwise.
It's not the best new addition, but stick a PU scope, a Hub suppressor, leather pad, and a few lighter parts on it, and it's fun enough for a closer range tear up.

I like the Grease Gun, but that's it, I don't like skins or camouflages at all, missions, scope reticles and higher zoom scopes is what I like and want.

But they really need add the ability to make your looks impact gameplay
Imagine how cool it would be if a ghillie suit could be created by collecting foliage and string and then going to a workbench and then crafting a full body ghillie rifle and all so when you prone you are completely invisible(it wouldn’t work in the urban areas of course), depending on the map you can have different looks and different things to collect, in urban maps you can find cloth and rope to fully get that enemy at the gates look, make it so you can’t carry smg while you use it or decrease heart rate recovery to simulate the uncomfortableness of wearing a ghilie suit, lower sprint speed, whatever anything to make the game more interesting or as equipment you can equip a sniper cape to have a less effective but also less hindering and easier to access camo option but make it so you have to activate it by pressing a button (probably X on console whilst prone or in cover) but make your view really narrow and make it so you can’t move whilst you use it.
I know it will never happen because we already got the concealed target dlc but I can dream dammit

FYI, you mentioned “most” of the scopes are mounted backwards, but actually all of them are. It’s just some of them are more noticeable than others. The pu scope isn’t that noticeable but is also mounted backwards.
Once you’ve got enough kills for the mobility & control upgrades, this little grease gun is very accurate at close/medium range and is a very handy weapon. But the power is lacking - unless you get a headshot it takes ~5 general body hits to drop regular infantry and more like 8 or 9 to drop a Valkyrie. So you’ve got to be surgically precise to avoid a mag change mid-contact. Not a great option if you’re gonna get overrun. The Sturmgewer 44 rules the roost for thump, and it can be hard going with less than half the Stg44 hitting power.

The replay ability of SE4 with A Plus was great. I don't see people playing this one until SE6 drops with the way things have been rolling out.
Yeah I've completed it twice won't ever play it again or buy any of these trash dlc packs. 4 on the other hand couldn't get enough of that only thing missing was actual swastikas.

These no cross maps, they need to add another survival mode of Karl in the middle and endless enemy troops rolling in. Add engineers who are building a bridge to get to Karl, see how long Karl can hold out and slow the engineers down. Something. Or vice versa, shooting monkeys in a barrel mode.
Your rant neatly summarises the frustration of pretty much the entire fanbase.
The only remaining question about season pass 2 is whether or not the forthcoming mission is going to be any good. Landing Force was great but Conqueror and Rough Landing were deeply disappointing.
Will the new mission be another Secret Weapons, or will it be a half-baked copy&paste? It remains to be seen…
Hey man, I found your channel recently, and your videos got me very interested in the franchise. I'm finishing up V2 and then I'll start SE3. Already bought the Deluxe Edition of 4 and waiting on a good deal for the Deluxe Edition of 5 as well.
I bought the Ultimate Edition of 3, but I realised that it does not include some of the DLC. I know that the Hitler mission is not included, but do you know any weapon packs or other DLC that I should buy in order to have everything? Thanks
Hi, i thought the Ultimate Edition of SE3 includes ALL DLC but it turns out only the Switch Version of the ultimate edition includes everything. So I'm guessing you are on either Xbox or PS. In which case you are missing the Hunt The Grey Wolf mission which you already mentioned, you are also missing "allied reinforcements outfit pack", the "US camouflage rifles pack", and the "international camouflage rifles pack". I recently started SE4 but I have a question. I know that supressed ammo is available, but for immersion purposes, I'm trying to avoid using it (safe for some pistols that accepted supressors during WW2). My question is: Without using sound masks, Is there a safe distance that I can shoot my rifles and pistols without alerting enemies? Similar to Sniper Elite 5 audible range stat.
@@kauansantos7293 Sniper Elite 3 is actually my favourite, glad you enjoyed it. I cant remember the audible ranges for pistols and smgs in SE4 but all the sniper rifles are 100m except the Delisle which i believe is 75m.
@@BrutalBarracuda Thanks! Knowing this will be very useful for my playthrough, since the maps are so much bigger and more open than those in SE3, I can now snipe from over 100m without relying on sound masks!
Hmm, the Grease gun looks pretty good 'cause I like stable SMGs. Otherwise I'm in the same camp, mainly just wanting more missions. As an authentic sniper, nothing really competes with the springfield so new guns are kind of pointless. Skins are meh, unless they are good practical camo patterns.

I’ve beat the whole game( DLCs included) on authentic and was surprised how easy it was. The original sniper elite was harder on medium difficulty than 5 is on the hardest.
I doubt anyone now working at Rebellion has played Sniper Elite 1 tbh...

I hope they start adding fun weapons like a anti tank rifle in pvp a slingshot bow spear or just start adding ww2 guns in general BAR bren muskets idk somthign that makes me feel like i aint going to die from boredom form the same old same old
Just wanted to say that the US Army ranger uniforms are incorrect. Plus some of the German uniforms as well. We all know that rebellion can do better than waiting until the last minute to put the scopes on the sniper rifles. The bolt on the tera rifle is wrong. It should be a straight bolt because the scope is mounted to the left side of the rifle.

I wish I could play in campagne coop mode with different settings than my mate. Like he would be able to use the aim assist when I would not. Like in Borderlands 3, an casual player can play with an advanced one and both have fun..

Im always craving more missions. I could have 50 missions and still want more of them....HOWEVER only if they are actually challenging. SE4 is still harder then SE5 imo. And for gods sakes...more enemies!

The Tera rifle is crap for damage but sexy looking lol grease gun is nice but it looks too much like the welgun so what’s the point in adding the grease gun if we already have a SMG that looks similar other than that very good hate that it costed so much though 6.99 or 7.99 which ever one it was for me
It's a shame that the Tera should have lower damage and higher muzzle speed, 6.5 mm Arisaka wasn't nearly as deadly as 30.06 or 303 or 8mm Mauser, but it was very fast and incredibly accurate. Oh well 😂 It is what it is and I like it all the same
It wasn’t that fast. It’s more comparable to a 6.5 Grendel round today. I have a box of 6,5jap 160g with 2350fps at the muzzle I think. Pretty sure the Japanese military load was a little lighter and faster than that but it did have some pretty bad wounding characteristics as it would tend to tumble inside a body. Japs only went to 7.7mm for their machine guns and better effect on aircraft.
It was definitely uninspiring. I thought we would get a new map/mission especially since they hinted that Kraken was still going on.
Season pass 1 and 2 contains 4 DLC packs each. DLC pack 1 & 4 contain missions. So the next (4th and final) pack of season 2 will be a new mission.

Variety for the sake of variety is super lame.
If they want to add weapons that are similar stats wise then they can just be a cosmetic model and sound swap for some already existing weapon.
Many games are plagued with bloated weapon sandboxes.
Last two dlc packs are just two guns and skins smh. Where are new missions

Are there any new weapons? Really, instead of adding something new, they add similar weapons from game to game. I feel bad for the community, why dont they add new missions, mechanics, maybe? That's not funny anymore
The out fit is horrible!, sniper is stealth, let's aim for the bright red arm ban. I would love and I thinks time for more day lite missions and a Pacific Campaign , time to go up against the Japanese.
They drop quality of game development a lot...adding new wepons without new content dosent make to much sense really😂
Didn't buy the season 2 pass as I suspected there was absolutely nothing worth paying the money they were asking for. I am not interested in the least about new guns and skins. Not interested in No Cross or multiplayer. The game is effectively dead as I have played all the maps to death and also all the coop to point it isn't fun anymore. It didn't take long but it occurred sooner than SE4, which I am still playing occasionally..
Yeah, in that case just wait and get the mission DLC seperately 👍
