John, it’s odd that you can’t stop talking about the other resellers tbh. It’s strikes me (having watched some of your early videos) that you have issues with loads of people in different areas of life. I remember a fitness vid you did where you’d fallen out with people because of some perceived slight on you. I would bet that this is a running theme in your life. At some point you need to realise that you are the common denominator in all of these situations and that you are viewing actions or inaction of others not as they are intended. This isn’t a dig at you, we all have odd personality traits but to slag off people isn’t the right thing to do. It’s defamatory and really quite childish.
This is exactly my take on the situation, I couldn't agree more. I enjoy the videos, and he should stick to what he does best. He seems to revel in self pity, and despite his moans and groans he enjoys stirring the pot and making these sorts of videos - he loves the views and these comments (ours included) only add to his opinion of self importance. I love watching picker / reseller channels and I will continue to watch providing I don't make the list for his next hit piece to camera. I honestly wish him the very best and hopefully his videos will just concentrate on him buying / selling.
Childish when I left it I mentioned nobody's name but they still carrying on. I moved on but now I've finished it. Look at the support I have alot more than these idiots.

I am so glad someone said this , tried to go on another platform whatnot and I have my own business I do really well on eBay and upgraded to a warehouse , absolutely no support from them just want to take peoples money and follows then not support them when you need it , I was destroyed mentally for a week after no support and how they make look whatnot so easy then won’t follow you or share your shows or buy one thing of you at all !! Their attitude made me doubt myself as a person and it was just so sad . I’m back on eBay selling my stuff for what it’s actually worth and don’t need fakeness and sponsored gifts to make people buy . Thank you for this insight because I doubted myself

You certainly do a good rant Jon. Very entertaining. I follow a few re-sellers mainly because I can learn from them, trying to build a business. George Ross is very good and a guy called Simon " The Gentleman Marketeer", runs his business like a Rolls Royce engine, learnt an awful lot from him. Cadgy and Ricky are brilliant, so much fun to watch. Kepp going mate.

However being someone who has ADHD and has been isolated my whole life, I think it's low if people having been talking sh@t about you.

At the end of the day, you are supporting your kid and making 30k a year and that can't be scoffed at, so your doing well and take no notice of others.

Hi Jon, New sub here 🖐 I resell part time and started my channel last summer. Not sure if you've come across it. I try really hard to spread my knowledge as I've learnt so much from other people. That's horrible you've had people talk like this, I always try to be open and honest/transparent in my videos about my business. Also to be fair try to keep myself to myself. 😃
Best way to do it is keeping your head down. When on social media you will always get haters but usually they are jealous or bitter

You admitted in the video that you’ve never heard Pete/Lola say anything negative towards you so why would you slander them and the resell summit? These events cost a lot of money to host so to say they’re ripping people off is a huge jump to conclusion. I’ve never been myself, but if I was to go it would be to connect with the community and not with the intention of learning anything. I’ve spoken to Pete over IG plenty of times and he comes across as a great guy who’s always happy to advise. Not to mention the amount of free brand knowledge he puts out in his videos.
I’ll just add that I don’t disagree with everything you said though. Whilst I’ll mention no names, I know for a fact someone mentioned in this video has sold numerous items to followers that are not authentic, but I just leave them to it.
They don't cost that much I could watch Ed sheeran for cheap. Been to Expo at nec where it was £35 and you meet your idols, can watch people talk and actually learn something. They don't know much more than anyone else as all looking on eBay for solds. Clothing summit. No broad knowledge, plus they were part of the gang. Not once the day after did they see if I was OK where I had ones who didn't go message me.

@@JonSheppardsells I don’t know the full story with what happened to you Jon, but I did see the Facebook comment on that pic of you in the charity shop doing the rounds in that circle and I don’t stand for that behaviour at all. You know the one I mean. I agree to an extent, all these people you name are CZcams resellers. The ones I’ve met that are actually killing it are usually the anonymous ones. You only have to compare active listings to sold listings to work out their averages. That being said, I standby my opinion of Pete. His brand knowledge is impressive. He isn’t picking up toy dinosaurs at Carboots for £2 and selling them for £7. I’ve seen him pick out a £300 jacket of a rare brand that most people wouldn’t look twice at in a charity shop. Respect where it’s due.
You should of seen some of the things I've sold. £600 plus profit all depend on areas too

This vid was a bit different! Cannot see Nick and Andrea Hills doing the same anytime soon! My thoughts for what they are worth is that we are hearing one side of the story only. I think it unwise to make any opinion without hearing the other sides take. One thing old age has taught me, no matter how difficult, is to be the bigger person, also to do the unexpected in life. I recall working with a guy in the office who was in his fifties and he was so good at deflecting others comments. By this I mean for example if you said 'jeez you're an ugly sod' then you'd expect a backlash from me and you're prepared for it. But if I said 'true', now you're thinking ummmmmmmmmm and you're thrown. Thats deflection. Also, another instant reply you can say is one word and that is 'define'. So if you say you're an ugly sod, I reply 'define ugly'. Now you're having to think and had not expected this. Life is just too short. I have to say when I heard Jon say how some resellers were not as they appear on cam I thought of Ricky Resells (dunno why). But Jon spoke highly of him and thats brilliant (I do not know Ricky Resells or any of them but hey). So, Jon life is too short for grudges (and I am Mr Sensitive), however, we are all unique with our own personalities. I consider that the biggest influence on us is our parents or guardians and so on and they way we are raised shapes us for life. Now for some fun and here are a couple of replies you can use to shut people up in a way which will turn things on them but its not nasty. I used to play league snooker for several years for the local British Legion. I was practicing one day with my Brother In Law and I was having an off night on the table. There was a load of blokes watching us and one (Ian) revelled in slagging me in front of the others. I'd had enough, stopped and said "Ian is it true you've had an asshole transplant and the asshole rejected you"? He never mocked me again and was friendly as they come. Another put down you can use is when someone retorts to you "could you be quicker with your replies as I just picked up a parking ticket waiting for your reply". Boom 🙂

@@limelightvinty yeah, I have been selling a lot of diesel jeans lately. They are quick and easy to sell, and bring in some nice money but I think it will be harder now since eBay dropped private sellers fees.
I do much prefer picking up toys and vintage items which I’ll be getting back into the swing now and looking for them.

@@JonSheppardsells yeah but its a public streaming platform so people buying it can be from the public, not neccesarily their followers. If i was to pay premium price i'd expect premium service, washed or dry cleaned and checked for defects, tears etc.

Jon I don’t normally comment on things like this but to put my husband is wrong at the resellers summit u listed him on ur list when he hadn’t done anything wrong apart from speak to people u didn’t like also u blocked him so he got the impression u didn’t like him so left u alone. I don’t know where Uve got it into ur head about him talking to that group he talks to loads of resellers not just them. I've seen the comments in Instagram, group chats etc got alot of stuff sent to me. I hold no grudges but if someone hasn't got the decency to apologise then I will blank them. So it's totally up to him what he wants to do and say.

I agree with a lot of what you’ve said, i’ve personally had run-ins with a couple of resellers. I refuse to call them ‘big sellers’ or any of the sort, they’re just resellers. So many think that they’re celebrities, but need to be humble.

Yes it is I use to in the gym scene and was blood sweat tears but everyone is so nice but scared of them just because they workout. Some resellers are great. I guess I'm out spoken and people can't handle it

I started selling on eBay as a hobby a few years ago within 6 months quit my job and went full time about the same time as you. It’s hard but very rewarding. Never thought of doing a CZcams channel as want to concentrate on just buying listing and selling. But enjoy watching your videos getting hints and tips. It's all for CZcams don't take things so seriously. I protect myself if being treat bad that's all. About car boot and Charity Shops I'm not the only one who complains. It doesn't matter how long you've done something that's all a myth people doing it for years make less than me and some newbies make more than me so that doesn't mean anything as also worked in retail dealing with ordering stock buying products to boost sales etc etc, plus general life experience.

I know a reseller and they have had resellers at the car boot try and talk them out of reselling because they find them a threat and want all the stock for themselves. They have full time jobs and are high paid too but want more money doing reselling on the side.
