Can you tell me how are you recording the first part of your video . Full screen? Using Screen Studio we cannot record just the webcam full screen right?

It's one of the best apps of the moment. I lost my ability to use the logitec recorder (which came with my webcam) but this makes up for it big time! Really like it. One thing: one needs to be a little cautious with all the options because there's so much that can be done, that it can get a bit fidgety! 🙂
Yes, I combine them! I first record intros, mid-breaks and outros through my camera and then record the tutorial in Screen Studio. I edit the tutorial portion and export from Screen Studio, then move it to Descript to combine with the intros if its a simple edit or DaVinci Resolve if I need more effects etc.
I'm hoping they can include the ability to highlight specific areas of the screen while recording, such as circling or squaring a particular area, for use in tutorials or instructional videos.

Absolutely, it’s always ok to ask! 😊 Normally, if I’m creating simpler content I go to Descript and this is what I’ve done with some of my recent shorts. But a few times I also got away with only Screen Studio 😁 For long form videos, I have a specific style and I need more creative tools so I edit those in DaVinci Resolve. The brilliant thing now is that I’m able to very quickly edit the tutorial portions in Screen Studio and only use DaVinci to add intros, outros, my audio since I use an external microphone and some after effects too. Such a timesaver. I hope it helps and again, I’m so glad you’ve found something valuable here! 🥰 Appreciate you!
Mouse cursor Question - is it possible to change the mouse cursor/pointer to something like a Yellow spot ie more visible that standard mouse arrow for when people are trying to follow you on screen?
Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s possible. There are only two options for cursors, one being the classic MacOS cursor and the other being a highlight cursor. As far as I know, there’s no way to change colors unless you can change them from the Mac settings. I’ve found that making the cursor super large in Screen Studio is helpful to catch everything that’s happening on screen.
Oh, I’m so sorry! Everything looks to be working on my end but I’ve had a few people who had issues with this. I’ve reached out to the Canva Support Team so hopefully they’ll be able to assist. May I ask if you’ve used a free Canva trial previously? It sometimes also helps to use a different browser so maybe you could try it while I wait for Canva to get back to me 😊
