I'm a foreign national married to a Pinay. In fairness, I like the design of the Philippine flag. There is so much symbolism to it.

Actually the triangular design in our Philippine flag is a copy from the Cuban flag, because the Cuban revolution against Spain became one of the inspiration of Filipino revolutionaries during the Spanish colonial rule in the Philippines.

our flag if I am not mistaken was made last 1898 ...it was made for 5 days by a hand of our national artist ...
Many flags look boring, but when it is put on your outfit as patch like on your shoulder, bag, cap it looks cool. I've seen a Phil flag patch in boxing matches and other sports and I always thought it doesn't look boring at all.

Actually, I'm not sure if I get it, or if I understand the meaning or the reason of the video creator for making this said video. All flags has their own cultural value, historical meaning, and artistic style that is sentimantal and patriotic for its own. Why do we even think of their flags to be 'what if designed' like ours, or ours to be designed like them. Well, yes it's just for fun, and no offense to the other countries.
