  • Lots of folks ask us how we travel with a golf cart in our Jeep…we put a video together to show you how we unload it and put it together.
    We got this golf cart from Cricket Mini Golf Carts cricketminigol... and they were so great to work with!
    If you have any questions, just ask us. If you want one, talk to the folks at CMG and let them know Tonya & Alex, the MostTimers sent you!!

    I absolutely love my Cricket Cart. I have the ESV model that's designed for people with a disability. I just became a Ambassador for Cricket Carts Direct here in Florida. I can't wait to use it to get around at the RV Tampa Show in January. Hopefully I'll see you there.

    We are actually visiting their Daytona facility this week to look at the Grasshopper model. What was the true setup time for you to piece this together? Video was sped up. Their coming out with a 48v model too they told me. Issue is they are robbing people on the cost for this thing. It's the price of a full size cart. I'm trying to understand why they charge extra for EVERYTHING! Even the damn canopy! Why? That's standard with any golf cart!

    • @MostTimers
      @MostTimers  Před 10 měsíci

      The cart itself is 5 minutes to assemble. The canopy can be a bit more depending on how far you disassemble/reassemble. We kept ours as an open top most of the time because of this.

    Love the cart. We are looking at the cricket too. Did you have to install a lift kit to get those wheels on?

    • @MostTimers
      @MostTimers  Před 7 měsíci +1

      No. We got a Grasshopper from cricketminigolfcarts.com/cricket-rx5-grasshopper-model/. It was already lifted and improved!

    Love this idea. We are considering the same in utility trailer we tow behind our. Class C. Would love a bit more detail / narration. How long did this take overall? Did you add quick connects? Was it customized when you purchased - for instance the soft roof or did you modify yourself?

    • @MostTimers
      @MostTimers  Před 2 lety +1

      The only think we added was quick connects instead of bolts. Time is about 20-25 mins. Totally worth it for having the convenience of the golf cart with us. Everything else was customized by the dealer. They are awesome to work with. I’m going to (when I have a chance) let them know what quick disconnects I used so they can look into them. Make sure you tell them Alex and Tonya sent you their way!

    I mean no disrespect, but that seems like a lot of work. Wouldn't it be easier to just take the top off your Wrangler or put a soft top on you can just let down and ride the Wrangler around?

    love it. I am considering a cricket grasshopper. The website says the unit will fit in class A basement storage (I assume the grasshopper model is too tall). Have you tried transporting it in the RV?

    • @thehern1
      @thehern1 Před 2 lety

      The grasshopper is taller but even a standard cricket rx5 would be tough in any Rv that had frame rails (like a freightliner or Spartan based chassis). It would probably fit fine in a prevost or Newell that has taller basement storage all across the bus.

    Very cool. How long did it actually take to put together? Thanks for sharing this. New friends here. KTKamping Kent and Tami

    Hello, did you measure the top speed on your grasshopper? its advertised at 17mph but I'm only getting 12 top speed, Yes, I have a grasshopper.

    • @MostTimers
      @MostTimers  Před 2 měsíci +1

      We never did. Never needed to go much over 8-10 anyway though, and with 2 of us on the cart being close to 375lbs, wasn’t worried about going any faster.

  • @thomasdebusk67
    @thomasdebusk67 Před 2 lety

    Very Nice. I have been looking for video of someone showing how the Cricket fits in a Jeep Wrangler. Heard about it, just didn't see it. Can you tell me which Cricket you have; SX3 or 5. We too are in the same boat; wife and I are looking at getting a Cricket to be transported in our Wrangler.

    • @MostTimers
      @MostTimers  Před 2 lety

      We have a Grasshopper that is based on the RX5 but is built out by cricketminigolfcarts.com/. Let them know we pointed you in their direction!
      The only thing we didn’t like were the Ramos they provided. I wanted something more robust so we bought a heavier duty set from Tractor Supply Co and carry them in the bus basement.

    Do you ever run into situations where you find yourself having to get out and assist or have to push the cart to get over various grades (hills) in a rv park?

    • @MostTimers
      @MostTimers  Před 2 lety +1

      We have had this happen only once and it was a heck of a steep hill. I had to get out and walk and my wife zigzagged the cart up. We rarely park the bus anywhere with steep hills so this was very unusual for us.

      Just shy of 20 mph and lots of loops in Disneys Fort Wilderness!!!

  • @mp-xt2rg
    @mp-xt2rg Před rokem

    The issue I see is that it's a golf cart built on the chassis of a mobility scooter designed for obese people. The weight limit is 400lbs. Having a rear seat is kind of misleading.

    • @MostTimers
      @MostTimers  Před rokem

      It’s actually got a capacity of 600lbs. cricketminigolfcarts.com/cricket-golf-cart-facts/
