Was not expecting it to do a touch and go .These pilots really had a great job . Imagine being paid well to fly this beautiful aircraft knowing that it was unique, and it had the ability to cross the Atlantic at Mach 2 up to nearly 60000 ft.Wow would love to have been there, and even wish more that I could be on board.To me it is criminal that each country did not mothball at least 2 each. This plane should still be flying albeit without passengers , but to do what they did with most of them is negligence,no other word for it. I said in another post that the Concorde was the fastest aircraft across the Atlantic doing it in 2 hrs 50 mins approx but under 3 hours. I was wrong the SR 71 did it an hour faster. I suspect on both flights everything possible was done to achieve these time although Concorde routinely did it 10 to 20 minutes more. . The manager of BA's Concorde in 1996 stated that no other aircraft civil or military could cross the Atlantic that fast and not run out of fuel. I hope they get 1 flying again. A marvellous aircraft so far ahead of its time! Word must have got out about this training or people could see it, quite a crowd in the last few circuits. A touch and go in this plane would be interesting and busy.
@@simarvirsdhandee7130 Unfortunately I agree , the SR 71 the same. It had stacks of unique lubricants etc to withstand the heat . The engines are old technology but immensely reliable. It is amazing that most of the really great photos of this plane came from Brian Shul . I have both his books, cost a fortune particularly Sled Driver but not for Sale.

Eso si era ruido, y luz... en una noche oscura desde casa se podia ver el postquemador incluso cuando salia de culo alejandose en lugar de pasar por encima. Todo eso ya se fue y solo quedan aviones que son clones unos de otros. pero bueno, se viene la segunda epoca supersonica del transporte aereo civil. Me encanta sencillamente

In spite of Doppler says the frequency drops as the source goes away from us, at 5:26 a frequency begins to rise. the "Flanger Effect" that is used in some music. I found lots of info about how to create it, but no scientific explanation. Can anybody explain? It's not the engine that revs faster. That frequency drops as the plane gets closer to us, and rises as the planes goes away, this is completely against the Doppler rule.
Este vídeo lo filmé el 19 de febrero de 1999. Lo tenía casi olvidado y ahora abrí una cuenta en CZcams para publicarlo, dado lo singular de esas maniobras. Parece ser que eran unos entrenamientos de los pilotos para que se familiarizaran con el aeropuerto de Sevilla ante la posibilidad de que el Concorde operara en él.
un año antes de su accidente que mala onda yo soy de mexico pero no del centro del país en donde llegaba la ruta que cubra el avión era NEW YORK - CUIDAD DE MÉXICO la aerolínea hizo su primer vuelo comercial el 20 de septiembre de 1978,El último viaje Supersónico entre París y México fue el lunes 2 de noviembre de 1982..
Ojalá también hubiera estado el Antonov 225 Mrya,pero me parece que ese "pajarito "necesitaba" por lo menos casi 3 aeropuertos de Sevilla para despegar y aterrizar. 👋
Better than telly completely normal due to the Delta Wing design. This is why Concorde required a ‘droop snoot’ to allow the crew to see where there were going for take off and landing
Tjshill82 thank you for your reply. I should of been more specific with my question - does Concorde land at a steeper angle than a Jumbo Jet for example and what are the degrees and differences? It looks very different to me. Get the mince pies out!
@@betterthantelly2993 the angle is significantly steeper than something like a 747. the average angle is anywhere from 9 to 14 degrees on the concorde depending on weight and speed on any given landing. for a 747 the average nose up angle will usually be just a few degrees nose up, 3-5.

For all they know, they might be next to a supermarket. Talk about wrong place at the wrong time. A good number of people would give an arm and a leg to be in their shoes.
TheIAMINU in the early days Concorde did struggle to make a profit but a separate Concorde Division of British Airways was formed in the early 80s to turn it around. This division was incredibly successful and in its peak Concorde was responsible for 20% of British Airways profits.
Totally untrue.it was in fact very profitable until the post 9/11 world when it became unprofitable. Of course it was 70s tech so was certainly a gas guzzler but it only ever flew to the USA and that too a 3.5 hr flight. It was only high demand that kept it going at least with BA , until post 9/11 when the transatlantic route suffered from a general economic downturn

Unlikely that it will ever fly again due to the politics involved hence won't be sold to any third party who is willing to use manpower.
