bruce faulconer was really ahead of his times even in 2021 this and a couple others tracks still hit the top of my list in music
My friend, you should research the true story behind Bruce Faulconer. A lot of the music was done by other composers who worked under faulconer productions. So Bruce was receiving all the credit.

This is my favorite track from DBZ. Ginyu asked to see Goku's "perfect power", so Goku agreed and let out a cry that could be heard across the planet. The currents changed, the clouds moved, and nearby planets were illuminated. Then, right as Goku's kaioken powerup started, this track accompanied him. Chills. That was truly the moment I fell in love with Dragonball Z as a kid.
Also when Vegeta hunted Jeice and killed him, everyone's reaction to it + this track made it perfect

The Namek saga was really the best in the entire series.
Even against the Buu saga
The characters and story were still fresh at this point. Akira Toriyama still had a lot of ideas. By the time of the Buu saga, he was already burnt out. Don't get me wrong, the Buu saga was still great, but I just love the writing and direction of the story in the Namek saga.

Yeah, not just the soundtrack, but almost everything is entirely different compared to other dubs and the OG JP. Music, voices, script, intro(s) personalities, etc. I don't see the dub not being faithful as a good thing because that leaves more room for *Originality.* I mean they had to make up a script for DBZ, they put work into it. Now none of the above mentioned things are in English Dubs of this franchise anymore. like Kai and Super. Except voices, but the majority of actors are the same anyways, plus they still do a great job.

I like how each ginyu individual was designed uniquely.
That's what made them memorable. The creators put in a lot of effort to flesh out characters who were the lead up to the "big bad" instead of just a bunch of forgettable mooks.
Remember this when Jeice was killed by Vegeta.

This was the theme that got me more attached to dbz.Bruce faulconer themes were an integral part of dbz which made it favourite around the world. DBS doesnt have such epic themes to make it catchy.

I prefer Ginyu Force Rules to this, but this on it's own is a good song. Faulconer had his moments but I'm personally not 100% it's the best fit for Dragon Ball at this time.

I love how everyone looks down at the Ginyu Force but don't realize how much of a threat these guys actually where, Reecome, who was the 2nd weakest of the bunch, bodied Krillin, Gohan and Vegeta, imagine if all 5 actually where fighting together, honestly even Goku would have struggled, like most sagas, this could have ended right here if it weren't for making the series more insteresting.

Kori Winstead doesnt hold up? That makes zero sense. The electronic futuristic sound of Bruce Faulconers score flows with the alien/futuristic tone of DBZ. The japanese soundtrack doesnt flow with the tone or setting of the show at all and is way too mellow and japanese.

Gohan and Frieza teamed up in a Namek style battle,
Gohan and Frieza teamed up again and recently sacrificed himself in the same way Goku and Piccolo did when fighting Raditz. So they implemented some nostalgic moments.
Plus there was the baseball game with Yamcha hitting home plate and being in his death position lol.
Ya no I don't think any saga of the entire dragon franchise will come close to the Namek Saga
In terms of Super's music or the arcs?. DBS's music is incredible and So far the future Trunks and the Universe Survival arc are my favorites.
This music was displaying the fruits of training in 100x gravity. It had suspense, build-up, reasoning. DBS just hands out powers like AOL disks. It's dumb. Whichever character kills Zeno will be the only memorable moment, and not because Zeno's "strong", because it's probably the stupidest plot device ever seen in Akira's work.
I remember hearing this theme on the Sept 1999 Funimation debut, wondering wtf happened to what we know now as the Ocean soundtrack... which reminded me more of a mythological show. It took me 8 yrs later to fully appreciate the Faulconer (Morgan Studios) score for nostalgia-sake, while also appreciating the Kikuchi score
