What does it matter? The Young Bucks are not dropping the titles to them at the paper view. That is why this style of booking is silly. You have this match on your television show and then you turn around and have the same match on your paper view and expect people to buy it. Tony needs to bury these eliminator matches and just do a traditional build up to a title match.

The Acclaimed should be tag team champions right now. Having a match AGAINST the champions to win a title shot AGAINST the champions is the most backwards fucking booking, and yet isn't the dumbest thing Tony Khan has come up with.

How did they put them over? They let them win this match so they could win the grudge match at the paper view. If they beat them now then there is no match at the paper view. That is not putting someone over. If they were going to put them over they would drop the tag titles at the paper view.

It’s called a rubber match. Meaning it’s to stretch the story a little. See if they can get a good angle before they pull that *E V P TRIGGER into GOLD DIGGER!!!*
What happened to the ranking system? They must have ditched that idea again. lol
If a champion loses a match, they better be losing their title, it really is that simple.
Otherwise you are ultimately just setting everyone involved up to look stupid, especially if the challenger ends up losing. Either you beat your champions twice, and REALLY make them look bad, or both champion and challenger take a loss that make both of them look bad and ultimately feels like a huge waste of time that makes you wonder why they did the eliminator in the first place? And when the challenger loses the eliminator...WHY NOT JUST PROMOTE IT AS A TITLE MATCH TO BEGIN WITH!?
It's a terrible, pointless concept and I wish every company would stop doing them.

Finally an eliminator match where the champion loses! Not sure if it happened before but I genuinely can't remember. These new booking decision help the product look unpredictable and fresh, even if eventually The Acclaimed end up losing the title match.
The rules for tag matches are non-existent.
