  • From Zimbabwe, to Botswana. This was a very VERY spontaneous trip I made, straight in to my third day in Zimbabwe. I packed my back pack and went with my Malume to Botswana. Boy oh Boy, did I experience a lot. Here's just a small snippet of what it featured.

    You deflate the tyres to improve the traction for the tyres.I identify with you a lot because I have family in most of Southern African countries.
    It is even more interesting that you have family in Mbembesi too!
    Keep Vlogging. Great job!

    • @zimzygirl
      @zimzygirl  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks you for letting me know about deflating the tyres. Yes, trust me we've spread out across Southern Africa but it's good because again it means we have more than one place to visit.
      Also Mbembesi is one of the places when I next visit, I'll have to definitely stay at least a week at and explore more of also to improve my Xhosa.

    You only showed unflattering bits about Botswana, just like the western media do. That's a shame. Your portrayal of Zim was balanced....So, that'll help you to understand western media bias

      Lol yep, isiXhosa can't be mistaken, can it. There were Xhosa people who left with Cecil Rhodes in the late 19th century at the end of the Frontier Wars. They relocated in Western Zimbabwe and I presume, must have spread over to Eastern Botswana at some point.

      Nguni languages are quite similar. This is definately IsiXhosa. I have heard the word kancinci in the conversation and its a Xhosa word meaning a little. In IsiZulu and IsiNdebele it is kancane not kancinci.
