The HD599 do worse with bass extension, but overall have better tonal balance. Focal with some EQ usually can exceed it on technical performance, but Focal's in-house tuning is lacking quite a bit unfortunately. An even better comparison would be with the HD560s which around 180-200 USD but blow the 599 out of the water I think.
The Elear is over hiped and too boomy and muddy, too much base and too less mids The 599 is the better one. The 599 has more seperation and balance. Sennheiser nailed ,it as always.
for acoustic music , techno and vocals HD 599 are better. Focals are way more expensive and have problems with upper treble, that should not be there for that amount of money.
These videos are a misleading cancer. I mean its a perfect karma for the people who watch this and believe they can judge the headphone with these videos. They will, however, get a harsh reality check if they hear the headphone like Elear in real life. If will be ”Oooohhh...” moment, but until then, they can go around saying their 599 sounds better than $900 focal 😂
