The wing chun master said that the difference between ring fight and street fight is the purpose of fight. On the stage, fighters are using their skills and reactions with each other in a fair condition to fight to the end. But, on the street, there is unfair competition situation. You will face a man or some men who are angry in hell want to kill you. That be totally different situation than on the ring fight. The martial arts are increased to defend or kill someone in an efficient and prompt ways to make your enemies stop fighting. It likes the Bruce Lee said just one punch, all gone!
Jangan terlalu banyak teori buktikan dengan menantang master kami yaitu Xu xioudong
Thank you
AND YOU THINK THAT WITHOUT SPARRING, AND WITHOUT HAVING FIGHTS IN THE STREET OR PROFESSIONALS, THE KUNG FU TEACHED BY THESE SUPPOSED TEACHERS WORKS? YOU HAVE TO BE A TEENAGE GIRL WHO WATCHES KUNG FU MOVIES TO BELIEVE THEM
@Alfa Nika Wow, you are quite the Philosopher.
Appreciate the translation
The humbleness of the Shaolin Monk was great to witness. His willingness to be taught by another great Master is truly a testament to the philosophies of the Martial Arts.
I agree 100%
I’ll gladly listen to someone who’s willing to share regardless of their willingness to listen.
If I profit that’s great, if they choose not to that’s none of my business.
I mean yes you are right but this should be the bare minimum. It’s only praised because today we’ve become so dogmatic and aggressive with things.
I don't think the bald guy is a shaolin monk. Doesn't seem to have any fighting skills. Probably just a bald guy.
Well a person not willing to learn anything new is not a smart man
These two Sifus are humble and selfless: decades ago, such a knowledge were kept secret to one's family or association. They are worthy of the title of good SIFU in every way. What they said and demonstrated were priceless! Thank you for sharing..👍👍
They were basically talking about the differences between fighting on the ring and fighting on the street, Master Tu said that most of the traditional martial arts are not doing good on the ring is because the training is focused on how to quickly take down one guy who is in the rage, like a angry drunk guy at the bar who is attacking you with no reason. Which means the guy in the rage will most likely to attack you for real (with no fake moves) and also more aggressive, trying to hurt you with one full body swing. He said that traditional martial arts is going to do well in this kind of situation, because what they training for is how to counter a certain situation like this, but not to fight someone in the ring knows how to fake a move, dodge or fight with a strategy. Sorry for my shitty English.
Learning to street fight plus in the ring will make you a monster. Like Mike
Thanks for translation! English was fine
@@pauldark3044 thank u lol
Your English is fine. You made your point clearly
Thank you very much for translating!!!
This was an excellent demonstration (not supposed to be a fight!). Very inspiring to see two practitioners from different styles, showing so much respect for each other. Thanks for posting 👍🙏.
Agree 100%. My teachers always encouraged us to look at other styles with a respectful eye. If an art has survived for hundreds or thousands of years, there's something there. Most of the masters I've met were very generous, and funny. Be kind. Be respectful. Learn from anyone and everyone... :)
Lots of talking, no sparring.
Well Sifu, Teng Yu yao teachings are affiliated with Shoa-lin Kung Fu .
The wing Chun master is so fast and powerful. His movements are so fluid and natural. It's an honor to see such greatness and real techniques in real life.
Ip man great humble master and supposed most students of wing Chun r also I wished we had a school n our area back n 70' and 80's when my interest thanks 2bruce lee had us yung folks martial art hyped
I like to see him in a MMA tournament and see how well he are doing there.
Any comments?
@@helenzass1757it’s a fake fighting form so you’ll never see it used in MMA where the real is sorted from the show.
@@patty109109
MMA is not really fake, they are trying hard to imitate techniques from real martial arts.
You could respect their efforts.
@@helenzass1757 it isn't necessary. It has survived for generations and will continue to without him having to prove himself in an arena.
I think this master has taken what is physically possible to its upper limits.Absolutely amazing.
This is real exchange of skills. This still happens. People respect and share and this why you can go train which shishu or uncle, a friend of your teacher and for free. The real Chinese teachers don't charge but demand respect. You are basically adopted and become family.
Good to know..respect the chinese with their rich culture
@@RealRivalDieHard Be careful. There are many fake teachers and snake oil salesmen and also those who just cheat their students, especially laowai. The cultural Revolution destroyed a lot and many top teachers fled. Many years later someone realised they could make money and then then just reappeared. Now many Chinese are not interested in their things. I loved there and the locals all played basketball. Only foreigners did taichi and kungu in unis I saw. The elderly locals in parks. Thus perhaps us waiguoren respect their traditions more than many locals.
@@RealRivalDieHard 100% ❤
And none of em have been in a real fight
Shushu 叔叔. Or maybe later a shifu 师傅。
All of you younger folks have NO IDEA how lucky you are to see this, and possibly train with people like Sifu Tengyao. Back in the "day" you could only read about this, or maybe see something similar in the movies. Amazing to be young these days, treasure them!
YEES YES ARE REALLY AMAZING MASTER 😮🏅🎖🥇🏆⚡⚡🔥🌀🌀😳
even as an old guy, I admire them.
Would like very much to learn from them
Really? I would rather go on MUAI THAI OR MMA trainings its more realistic ina street fights or in the ring..
This wing chun or kungfu is all about how fancy fighting styles are!
its not the art, it is the artist, each style has its pros and cons but you missed my point so I'll stop and let you try to critically think your way back to reason....@@user-jd2xf1zf9m
@@user-jd2xf1zf9m ahhhhh, did you know that Wing Chun was developed by a woman for close contact fighting? Nothing fancy about it at all, it was purely practical in nature.
I love how much these masters respect each other. I love their curiosity and explanation towards each other. Ego is not involved. It’s pure budō.
That's normal
@@peterhannig127 Not in this day and age sadly.
Budo is samurai nonsense and samurai don't have any respect for anybody
Culture, honor, respect! You know this is amazing to see when you can just watch and not know what is being said, but still be amazed. This is awesome.
Respect to them both. This reflects the overall honorableness of the Martial Arts.
Seeing two experienced men talking , being respectful and trying to better themselves in different techniques is beautiful to watch. Humble and respectful. Rare today. No ego in the room. The body can do amazing things when the mind is focused and clear.
I love the respectful interaction between these two Masters of different styles... Much Respect

Anyone who really knows fighting can understand how effective aspects of Wing Chun can be in the right hands.

The monks respect toward the other master was great.

Great, great respect for Master Tu- Tengyao. Great teacher and a man of wisdom. I wish I could've studied under him.
I like to see him in a MMA tournament and see how well he are doing there.

👊😑Beautiful!!! The different styles collaborating..I miss Bruce Lee😔🕊but these gentlemen bring back the joy an art of Martial Arts!!!!👊😑
when the Taichi master coils up into dancing fight stance, it makes me see how dangerous this man could be. He is so fluid and it looks so natural for him, his footwork is glorious. I especially love how fast he can close the gap between him amd his opponent rendering the use able 'coiling' space for body mechanics useless. what a treat to be able to watch this! ❤
... Until he got punched in the face...
If he is a Shaolin monk he is very humble and receptive to new ideas.
Shaolin monks are usually quite humble and receptive, like Kwai Chang Caine in TV's Kung Foo.

Thank you Master Tu, and Shaolin temple. We wanted to thank-you and encourage you with a style; like we are drinking tea as we should be.! !Light more:( Light 4).
light -light-light -light, to all uncomfortable situations. A skill We coin here “lightnessnessnessness” or “Dark night light”
Lighter than average lightness to add with, a childish appreciation. If you train light, this would be a second approach and adaption to light. Like a child it sees all here (and what he/she likes )as really perfect. It’s coined Because it’s colourful like you and it appreciates multiple layers to context. Like a moon rising to be a friend even if we are defeated and soiled and distorted, a master who oils and cleans and states “Will all official lawful, un mean, ugliness in the inner man we know, or fear today come to be known as another form of true beauty to re analyse. Moon-Willow Moon Light. Moon Willow sun heart, light-light-light-light blessing and asking can we utilise this adaption? Lights second, reverence. Lighter than a scar, lighter than sand in our eye. A friend of gentle and a new day and a aside, a real friend coming to stay forever with honour honour and honour. Exciting me with Moon’s second lift. And like our skipping Kangaroo we Bounce Bounce Bounce while we hop hop hop. After hard analysis it moves ugly to soft. Analyse its next steps are we 2 parts full to 2 parts empty, zen should we move and morph the ugliness and it’s caging true men and woman against there inner man inner woman and inner quest and inner best. “ Dark night light” to Light light light light. Moonlight 4. That’s tea to me now I’m going to drink a coffee Sunbeam” Peace and much earth strong love and support. One love.

This Wing Chu master is legit. That’s why Xu Xiadong doesn’t challenge him. A lot of people have misconceptions of Xu XIADONG. He only picks and challenges fake Kung Fu masters in China and he’s right. This Kung Fu master is legit. He has good timing and showcases real techniques that works in full contact.
xD
I don't know how legit this guy is, but what you said about XU is right. Our current generation is very confused about martial arts, and is basically brainwashed. Xu obviously fought is his first MMA fight with only a kung fu background and broke his opponents arm, so he knows kung fu is real - he trained kung fu. He simply is calling out so called "masters" who are just snake oil salesmen.
Xu Xiaodong's issue has always been phonies who have made public outrageous claims. He has only challenged them to expose them.
The idea of him challenging people to somehow boost his image, or make money is wrong. He has not profited from in any substantial way from these matches other having gained some online notoriety. In fact his social credit score in China, as well as his various online accounts have been deliberately damaged directly by the government for perceiving him as insulting Chinese culture, which he has in fact been trying to do the opposite.
@@rafaelcarrera9436 The craziest thing was when the chinese communist party got into power they destroyed most of their history and culture to modernize China. Now Xiadong is challenging phonies and beating them is somehow against China's best interest xD
It really is a stupid state of affairs.

Martial arts are not sport. Learn, then talk.

These men are strong. For some reason Wing Chun demonstrated in the West looks much weaker.
Wenn du das so, wie dirt demonstriert wird, hier zeigst, hast du probleme mit dem Gesetz!
True....there are many many good fighters dont choose the money and fame. Western thinks they know it but give an weak example of martial arts. Thats why people back in the days dont like Bruce Lee to show the art in the West. To arrogant, superior but dont know anything at all iny opinion.
@@Daniel_Mueller I'm sorry I don't know your language
@chirovandenbos2339 in almost anything the youth especially in the West think they know it all and better- they don't. Even some mature adults try to create a new martial art or a new spiritual system, and they create a failure. Thorough learning, practice and insight plus achievement are needed. In some cases, don't even try to create a new way, the way that was already provided is effective and all that one will ever need. The West produces a lot of ego about oneself that blinds one from seeing the truth that is already there.
