VW has its sights set on the premium car market and the Volkswagen Arteon is a convincing effort - offering a real alternative to models from Mercedes, BMW and Audi. The VW CC replacement a confident-looking car, with an eye-catching nose and smooth lines, and it’s packed with hi-tech systems including near-autonomous driving modes. To be honest I like the car. It looks cool and it has character. The fact that many don't appreciate it, actually makes me like it even more. I hate following the crowd anyway. The interior may feel a bit boring, but it's still quite sharp and it will hold very well over time.
Every comment points the interior okay I got you it has the same interior with the Passat I agree BUT , The Audi A4 and A5 has got the same interior don't beleive me check it and the BMW 3 series has got the same interior with the 4 Series .... I mean come on when it is a PREMIUM Brand nobody cares but when VW did every one gets mad .

It’s fine as long the interior is premium, VW’s isn’t.
MahadAli i have a current model VW Passat. 150k km’s in 2.5 yrs and the interior is as new. This experienced quality made me order an Arteon after comparing it with the German mid size so called premium models. I used to drive three times a 3 series and one A4 the last 10 years so i know what i’m talking about.
Silcer the durability of VW is no problem at all, it’s the feel of materials and the look of them at which I think VW lacks in

The car is awesome, the review isn't. I don't understand why people compares VW's interior with other ones, VW always did cars with "simple" interiors. If you are looking for luxury, how about to buy an AUDI, BMW or Mercedes?

I remember reading a review of the Arteon some time ago that started with words "Don't let anyone tell you it's a Passat in a different body kit"
My cousin got it, and after some time in the car I can tell you "Don't let anyone tell you that it's not a Passat in a different body kit"
Interior is most certainly not an upgrade and the 2 liter engine is nothing to write home about. It could be a fill-in between Passat and Phaeton, but since the latter is nowhere to be seen, I have no idea what is this supposed to be.

Every review of the arteon is a high end R line...for once I'de like to see a midrange model...those low profile tires will last less than a month before being damaged by potholes in my neck off the woods.can you actually order one with 17 or 16 inch wheels?

You have VW who sits in the space between Audi and common ford or Vauxhall cars.
Compare this to a fake premium car like a Ford Mondeo Vignale and 90% of those would chose the arteon

VW interiors are always well thought out, but are never very exciting to the eyes. Possibly it’s because they usually give reviewers all black interiors?

In fact it does not cost much more than a passat ; it just comes with a lot of equipment that you are free not to take on a passat. But once you've fully equipped both cars, the price is similar.

If I'm honest I'd rather just get a normal Passat or spend a bit more money and get a BMW 4 series or Audi A5
I used to love the VW Scoroccio until the idiot's in Volkswagen decided to cease importing that particular model into the UK it's a shame, however this doe's make up for their disappointing decision.

MICHGO1 lucky u. 22 years later my Camry Headliner was still in perfect condition. Saw the car this year and its still in good shape. Cant say the same for the VWs I know

Dee Jay I've seen an A7 3.0 bittdi with less than 20k km mileage and fully equipped for 70k € in my town. It's as good as new. And then I saw an arteon for 73k €. How about that?

EIGHT Pool yeah they expect full leather interior on any car. Of course we all like a premium interior but they need to be realistic. It's really expensive to manufacture and like in any car you need to cut corners
