Yo every character IS Boss level OP, that's part of what makes it so fun to play and lab.
One note: you forget Tae's level up mechanic. Tae has a bunch of moves that add to a level system that goes up to 30 with 1 level gained per hit (5DDD, grenade explosion, 236D, j.D, j.6D, 6D) which powers up the enhanced shotgun.

This game honestly makes me think more of a 3d Blazblue than Guilty Gear. Since we're never getting more Blazblue, this is perfect. It's clearly Arcsys inspired, but has its own identity. I'm super excited for the full realization of E's Laf++.

Cecil's walk speed is one of the most insane things I've seen in a fighting game honestly.

It's planned for steam early access one day, but they're still in Alpha builds. It's only 2 people making the whole thing so it's taking a little while!

Yagabi also can't backdash, instead has a dodge sway so he kinda feels like he inches his way forwards and using the different jumps to cover more ground and you dont need to charge if you're doing a combo which is pretty nice. Each of the iai style slashes put him into a stance too if you hold down the attack button but only if you do the charge input. thank you for covering this game, it's super interesting and i hope more people pick it up, there's tons of stuff with all the characters that lead to all sorts of crazy stuff, like Sisca gets access to her demon flip followups after j.D and i thiiink her backdash too among other moves. Everyone's got oodles of cool n crazy stuff it's nice to hear that it's active

The big thing about the name is how it is just "false" backwards and the ++ is read as "double cross" so there is some meaning to the game's name, but it's hard to tell how it goes with the game's theme at this moment.

So... my only gripe is that the background feels like it needs a filter or something to bring it in cohesion with the character 'effects'/art if that makes sense? Right now they feel too much like Strive/GG background to me but clash with the cool frame effects/style of the chars? Like, its as if the background could REALLY use a comic filter or something. Neat game though def checking it out!

looks really cool, im just concerned about the guard meter punishment for fuzzy mashg, (button mashing on defense with a bit of delay) i feel it disincentivizes delayed gatlings for frame traps, making the neutral a bit stiff on that sense, or frame traps in general. Havent played the game tho, and its the first time i see the game, so i dont know if its really an issue lol

I've been shilling this game for years, this video makes my job SO MUCH EASIER T~T
i really like it but something about the art style seems off. Not the moves or effects. I actually really like that they take a simplified cartoony approach like ssbu. I think it’s the flatness of the characters. Almost as if there isn’t enough shading where there needs to be or enough line work around different muscles which makes (for example the blue characters arm) for a very flat character model. The game itself looks good nonetheless tho. Another thing is the female characters pants, where the blue guy has a lack of shading, the females characters pants looks like an irl pair of pants texture was just overlayed. One character seems under shaded, the other looks over shaded. I find it to seem very unpolished and inconsistent between designs. Like an amazing world of gumball world effect.

They're doing it through Patreon so they can work on it on their own time and let people play it as it gets developed rather than how a Kickstarter goes where if it doesn't reach it's goal it doesn't get the money.
