I don’t typically comment, but I was homeschooled, and I would highly recommend it for the girls! There are plenty of online schooling programs, and it could alleviate some of the stress concerning the girls’ schooling if that ever became a big issue! I found that it helped me to create my own schedule early on, be responsible for my own work, and I frankly really enjoyed it overall 😁
We have gone back and forth about homeschooling the entire time. Had we not found our amazing project based grade school in Alabama the second year, I was going to start down there then. It was fantastic to at least be home with them during the pandemic. I think homeschooling gives a lot of options for creativity and freedom to develop an entrepreneurial mindset. 💜 In the end we have chosen schools because of organized things like the band that are not as replicable at home. It definitely can be a great fit in a lot of situations though! 😄
@@beingmommywithstyle I know some schools allow homeschoolers to join in on extracurriculars! I was able to join in on a high school’s gymnastics team while being homeschooled.
I turned 43 this year and my husband will turn 40. We're having these same kind of discussions. I dont think it's a midlife crisis, it's a completely new phase of life for us that comes with new life choices and hopefully growth. Im glad you posted this video. Its nice to know we're not the only ones gowing through this process ❤
That’s it exactly, new phase! Wishing you all the best! Hoping you find the next life choices that bring you joy! 💜
I definitely felt like you were happier in the southern area to be honest. I could kinda tell youve been struggling for awhile with things in life. And thats ok we all go through patches like that in life. I would say find what truly makes you happy and brings you peace inside.
Thank you! I appreciate that. It’s no fun to make videos when everything feels out of alignment but at least I feel like we are getting to a point of getting back into alignment. 💜😄
@beingmommywithstyle that's good!
Downsizing every 3 weeks is ridiculous! That is incredibly stressful 😮 Wishing your family well.
My biggest advice would be down size with the next move and go mortgage free asap. It shifts your whole mind set. We were always debt free and became mortage free in our late 30's. We are now in our early 40's with two teenagers. We have no plans of ever moving out of our 1,600 sq ft "starter home". We both work and save half of our take home income.
That’s exactly what we are thinking of doing! If we move back to the south (or lower cost of living area) it would be possible to do that. Up here the cost of living for things like paying $700 to board the dog for a week when we are on vacation and the higher RE taxes make it to where I don’t see it being comfortable here - but if we went back to the south we could buy a slightly smaller house outright, and I could cover our living expenses with my passive income streams at the moment. 😅😅😅 It’s definitely a thought!!
@@beingmommywithstyle Do it!! You can always go back to a mortgage if you hate being free 😅🙈
😂😂 Somehow I have a feeling we may like it…. 😅 We will see what happens the next few months.
We are a military family, so we move around a lot. We spent four years in Alabama and fell in love! I never would have guessed we would love it there so much. We kept our house there and are currently renting it out. We are going back when my husband retires!
I hope things work out for you and your family. 🫶I know you were struggling with feeling settled living there. 🏡 I would suggest settling down before girls start high school so they can graduate with friends. Looking forward to your family’s Disney trip. 🏰 🧚🏿
Thanks so much! :) That's the wild thing is that all of the kids that they are going to school with now, will go to a number of different high schools. None of their friends would be at the same high school as they would be right now. Not all of the kids go to the same high school and even within our little neighborhood, the kids go to about 5 different high schools. (And even more lower grade and middle school options.) It's been a wild experience! We will see what happens!
Long time follower.. I rarely ever comment on videos... but with that said, it seemed that you and your family were happier in AL.
Thank you! 💜 Huntsville was a better fit because of all of the science in the area. We just usually could find something in common with people quickly.
Unfortunately, all of the jobs he was doing there before are gone now - so it wouldn’t be an option to go back with the company he is currently with. (The engineering center they were originally going to bring down there was put in another country instead.)
YTMM ftw, it was SUCH a fun time way back then!
YES! 👏 Such a golden time, glad to have been a part of it. 💜
i'm going through a change myself I won't be 40 till next year but i will be starting my degree in sociology and criminology this September, the job i want to either go into is either youth services or something to do with immigration this means i will have to move to a bigger city than where i live now but i have 3 years to plan this next step, also i wouldn't move before my youngest finished high school which would be in 4 years times as live in the UK and i have found the perfect school for him so wont change his schools now. changes have to happen i do believe that to progress through life
Hope all the change goes smoothly!! 💜 Life does throw us curveballs! 😄
@@beingmommywithstyle i am hoping it does goes smoothly just finished one course to get on the degree i didn't know i would one day be doing a degree course and in a area i have always wanted to do but many factor got in the way. i know i am now on the right path to achieve where i want to be
So excited for y’all! So curious to see where y’all will move to. Back to Alabama or maybe Florida…
So we’re in our early 40s have no mortgage ( my husband paid off the house)BUT I have around $10,000 in credit card debt myself that I did to myself. My husband is very responsible and always saving money. I have to stick to my plan to pay it off in one year so I can have the flexibility in life (don’t like where I live right now) so hard because I like to go on vacations. Ugh 😫
I think I can definitely say, not Florida. 😂😂 And you can do that, as long as you’re bringing in an income that should be quick! Just stick to your plan! 💜 You can do it!
have seen your videos which are really awesome and Your video Thumbnails are so eye-catching.
💎 I agree less house is freeing financially 🩷
I think we are likely saying the same thing, but another way to say that - it doesn’t have anything to do with a house really. It’s lower cost of living versus higher cost of living.
So this house we are in now and the last house are about the same size wise, etc - but this house is way more expensive, taxes are 3x as much, etc. So it’s the living in a lower cost area that is the key and financially freeing. 😄 She talks about that in the book as well!
