    Hungarians do have one thing that no other faction has that being the 44M Buzoganyveto "Mace-thrower" A really scary thing to almost anything in the game if it is set to ambush. I lost a JSU-152 to the face by one.

    Hi! I'm once again back to try and help with the Hungarian pronunciations! 😁
    So- Buzogányvető
    The tricky parts here are the "á", the "ny" and the "ő" on the end.
    Á is pronounced like the "a" in "father", N and Y together (also present in Zrínyi) are pronounced like the "n" in "new" and finally the Ő is pronounced like the "u" in "fur". Also worth mentioning that, Gs in Hungarian are always hard Gs like in "grey".
    So, It goes something like:
    Boo-zog-/á/-/ny/-wet-/ő/

    Also, at 10:45 that's not called a Caspar it's called a "Csaba". It's a fairly common Hungarian name actually. Another mistake I commonly hear when people try to say it that they pronounce it with an "x", but in Hungarian C and S together turn into a "Ch" sound like in "chicken".
    Hope that helps a little! Excellent work all-around!

      I was told it was like Saab a like the aircraft and car mfg. And the C was silent. But thanks.

    I didn't use to think about Hungarians til warlord came out with the paras and then I couldn't help but buy 4 squads although more often then not I wind up running them as regular veterans.

    • @ErwinHistory
      @ErwinHistory  Před rokem

      Yeah fair enough. It's really only the cap badge that makes them unique in look at 28mm scale!

      @Erwin Gaming their camouflage was also different from the regular army, which I pain stakingly painted because their box has to be one WG has released.

    • @ErwinHistory
      @ErwinHistory  Před rokem

      @iangabor6822 According to Tamás Baczoni in "History and Evolution of Hungarian Camouflage Patterns," only the M38 pattern was used by all Hungarian forces officially. Though some Hungarian paratroopers from their own money commissioned personal variations on it, that was not an official thing. The camouflage on the box art of Warlords paratroopers seems to reflect either an odd miscolouring of the M38, a personal commission by the soldiers, or M1929 Italian camo (which was bought by the Hungarian Army in 1937 and again in 1943)

    • @iangabor6822
      @iangabor6822 Před rokem +1

      @Erwin Gaming I was unaware of that but I also didn't do much of a deep dive into Hungary, it was a case of the box looks cool and different and there was an image from an osprey book of a Para in camo that was tan/brown/white that I thought looked really neat so unfortunately my Hungarians are more rule of cool then historically based.

    • @ErwinHistory
      @ErwinHistory  Před rokem

      @iangabor6822 That's not unfortunate. I care a lot about historical accuracy, but that doesn't mean I don't respect rule of cool!
      I spent ages trying to find the scheme, but couldn't. There was only two offical camo schemes and one was just all white.
