The fact that the human brain, just a sack of flesh with tiny electrical signals, can invent this entire system and care for itself without the consciousness of the person potentially never even realizing it is happening.....just, wow.
The brain is indeed amazing, but the way those people playout DID is very romanticized and forced. DID is more on parallel with bipolar disorder. There's no such thing as having the "consciousness of a person not realizing".
@@zaidnava562 Those "professionals" are psychotherapists. All they do is hear the patient and interpret vaguely. They're nothing more but the middle-man between the patient and the world. If you want actual studies of the brain, refer to neurologists instead (my field). We don't give vague inaccurate nonsense such as "the consciousness of the person doesn't realize it".
Reminds me of the video where one of Nan’s (Nin’s partner [edit: actually there’s been recent drama which could’ve put this in jeopardy but I don’t wanna spread rumors for something I don’t know all about so anyway]) alters tried to do her makeup and then they started mocking Kyle, but then Nin felt him fronting and he muttered “I don’t fuckin sound like that”
What I find interesting is that when Kyle takes over for Nin, The accent and how the voice was carried shifted extremely, Despite it being quiet obviously the same voice, It was held like someone had swapped minds, Much how I imagined that the movies where they do that should. I could probably word this clearer and I know this was 3 years ago, But dang, This is intriguing!
I am absolutely stoked to see such support toward DID, Anthony having crew or himself or Kyle getting a jacket for Kyle for comfort purposes was just so sweet and kind. Assisting with kind words, being an absolute doll is amazing. Thank you

It's crazy to see the change in body language, mood, and even even how Nin spoke after altering to Kyle. I wish I could say it doesn't creep me out, but it does. But at the same time, this is my first legit exposure to the illness. Not counting split because it was only a movie.

This is single-handedly, one of the best interviews I've ever seen. Thank you for being so respectful to the people that are dealing with DID I enjoyed exploring the world through their eyes just as much as you enjoyed him interviewing them
Watching how respectful and kind he was during this was so heartwarming. It brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for helping people to learn about DID without all of the negativity that people previously attached to it.

Who is this man???? I just discovered him and I absolutely love his interviews. The way he interacts with the people. Never judges, never disrespect. This should be the behavior that society looks up to. Imagine how beautiful everything would be.
I highly recommend Soft White Underbelly as well; good interviewer

The fact that the human brain, just a sack of flesh with tiny electrical signals, can invent this entire system and care for itself without the consciousness of the person potentially never even realizing it is happening.....just, wow.
The brain will do whatever it can to adapt to the circumstances .
The brain is indeed amazing, but the way those people playout DID is very romanticized and forced. DID is more on parallel with bipolar disorder. There's no such thing as having the "consciousness of a person not realizing".
@@nephartuzim8879 if you’re a professional in this field, elaborate on this. If not, we won’t take your judgment seriously.
