I recognized a bunch of these NSS cars as I watched them race at KCIR nearly 20 years ago! Great group of racers. The quality and professionalism of these cars and their racers/owners inspired me to build my '61 Ford Falcon gasser that I currently race.
My first car was a 1963 tempest wagon, 4 cylinder, auto transmission in the rear. I hated it because it was a wagon. I had no idea how rare they were. I wish I had known they drag raced them. I totaled it on a rainy night on a curve. I wish I had it now.
Awesome, hadn't seen Asphalt Elephant in a long time....he put it up there on that launch...love the Rumbler! Man AMC9L, a bunch of beauties today....that Strike Midnight is awesome.....Two Ton of Fun, Long Gone, Steel in Time.....dang too many nice ones to comment on....what a great video today brother...exactly what I expect......you never disappoint!
I meant to ask you AMC9L, do you have your Dodge all ready for this Summer's shows? I'm going to have to sit out on a few this year.....can't take the heat especially at the track but I will try to make a couple of "Friday Nights" shows......Actually its getting harder and harder for me and my wife to load it up to go, unload for the show, load it back afterwards......I have to wait until Saturday now to unload.....I can still bang the gears with the best, but just waiting in in the staging lanes really is too much.....Will have to hand it over to our son soon I'm afraid....had her for 49 years now.
49 years wow not too many people can keep classic cars for that long including me. Unfortunately i had to sell it since i don't have enough time due to my busy schedule.
