      God head of Christ
      Christ head of man
      Man head of woman
has been replaced with that one :
      Satan head of woman

Enjoy the curse on the post modern church that Christ allows. Because unlike the crap they preach with women getting over their husbands through sentimental love and stuff like "leading by example" , Christ will always have the last say on his church.

This makes absolutely no sense.Whether he leads and he is in authority , or he serves and is NOT in authority. We hate deep down Inside men who serve us .

Faith Anne Richardson with all due respect. you dont speak for all women. Jesus was a leader and served so ridiculously that He was willing to be mutilated on a Cross for us all. Therefore my biblical training shows me men are to be the greatest of servants and I am so grateful for Godly men who love and help women out of love for Christ.

Jesus died once for all on the cross but now he is sitting on a throne and his church SUBMITS to him , right ?
Your feminised theology is flawed and dangerous.
This is such flawed theologically that turns so called Christian women into arrogant self entitled princesses who are never accountable for all their sins.
Jesus servant ? Jesus himself says that he rebukes and punishes the one he loves.
If a husband is to love LIKE Christ , he must have exactly the same rights as Christ to exercise authority . Otherwise his leadership is a joke.

SO strange that the Bible always focuses more on a wife's conduct than on the husband's .
But all those manginas have it backwards of course. It is all about deceiving women into thinking they are so perfect and so obedient ...
WHY does not the Bible have a passage like Proverbs 31 for husbands ??
Do those so called preachers who are always after men think they know better than God himself ?
The truth is , when you focus on how a WIFE should behave , marriages are strong . When you focus on how husbands should behave to please their controlling wife , marriages go down the drain.
It is a matter of female psyche because women are more demanding and changing than men.

Wether or not you believe me, I could care either way, but a majority of young ladies that were "Christian" decided I wasn't bad boy enough material to date. Big Christian women, but not good enough Christian man. Seems logical. So, the best I figure it, remaining single has had great promise for me. I've had more money, a vehicle and no more ex's dumping me because "I lost my job".

+postwardreamz well I am very sorry to hear your story. I once did a "poverty simulation" where I spent a few days living in poverty, and I can understand where you come from. And I agree - many large churches tend to ignore the poor. I am blessed to attend a fairly large church that ignores no one (it's not Chandler's, but I do disagree with you in that you think his church is promoting the American Dream). The reality is, EVERYONE needs Jesus, not just the poor. Yes, they do need Him. But so do rich people, so do businessmen, so do students, I could go on and on. And I will support any church that works to being people to Jesus. Different churches succeed in different demographics. I am blessed to be in a well-rounded church.

1 peter 3:1-2 Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives, when they see your respectful and pure conduct. there are ways to be loving and submissive to try and ignite a fire in your husband to lead and serve well, but for you to take control and lead would be going against God's design for marriage. Work on yourself, and he will be won over by your behavior. Also pray that God would show up in his life. Hope this is relevant 5 months later. God bless!

This is why the whole sermon should be uploaded not just snippets. Sounds like he's referring to a marriage. Marriage is not one man doing everything while the wife do nothing, which sounds like what he's trying to say. Why did he not mention what wives are supposed to do when their husbands come home tired from slaving all day? This is like the church (bride of Christ) telling Jesus that what He's doing is just not enough when we should actually be thankful. If you're going to call out men you should also call out women. Otherwise this is nothing but pure pandering and you're putting Christ's label in it.
Worse, this is what Jesus warned about of people who put heavy burdens on other people's shoulders but will not lift a finger to help them (Matthew 23:4).

As a women this DOES offend me. He is absolutely railing men and I cannot find where he ever truly calls out the sins of women. They all get a pass because they “have low self esteem” or they “aren’t recognized”. The very closest he comes is by saying “women fall short of the glory if God” (in other sermons) which we do, but how about call out our actual sins? Instead of this pandering “oh ladies, don’t be offended, but I’m about to side up with you and talk about how horrible of a job your husbands are doing, and I’m gonna make you feel like you have an excuse to deny him sex if he dares to come to bed all chipper!”

Yes, Eve was made to be Adam's helper. Yes, the role of leadership belongs to the husband. No, service in marriage is not unbiblical, disgraceful, or emasculating. Let's take a quick moment and think biblically-
Christ and his relationship with the Church is the foundation and model for marriage. Christ is the husband, and the Church is his bride. (If we can't agree on this point, there is no purpose in me further engaging you, and I would suggest you study your bible.) Matthew 20:v28 says "...the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” The word "many" here is referring to Christians, ie. the Church, ie. Christ's bride.
Now if Christ, who is undoubtedly greater, stronger, and in every way better than you, me, and humanity, came to SERVE his bride (the Church), and biblical marriage is a model of Christ and his bride, it is clearly biblical for a husband to serve his wife, while maintaining the leadership role.
What on earth do you think it means when Paul writes "Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her." ?
      "gave himself up for her"
That's called service. It is neither unbiblical, disgraceful, or emasculating, and I have to question whether you are at all familiar with the biblical doctrine of marriage, for your brazen and seemingly arrogant lack of knowledge in this area.

      Matthew Dyer
The woman was made for the man , not the reverse.
And it is the Church who serves Christ , not the reverse.
A man cannot be in leadership and serve. Whether he is the master or he is the servant . He cannot be both .
God wanted his people to SERVE him with joy. Not the opposite.
Anyway , a man who serves a woman is a turn off for any woman , women being made to respond to man and submit and adapt to him.
Jesus came to serve God , his Father . Not his bride !!
It is the bride (Church) that serves him and does his will . Not the opposite.
Husbands who "serve" end up emasculated and scorned . They have no authority at all and just let their wives take over.
The servant stuff is a great satanic trick to strip men of their authority and teach them to walk on egg shells with their wives and treat them like pampered princesses .
Even in bed , they walk on eggshells ! They are so afraid to be men , so afraid of their own desires and sex drive ..
Men have been stripped of what is most attractive to us, what is most arousing : their manliness , their audacity .
They fear themselves , they fear to rebuke a rebellious wife.
They are taught the lie that they have just duties and no rights.
No right to rebuke , no right to scold if necessary , no right to discipline like Christ ( though they are supposed to be a Christ figure !)
How unattractive ! What a turn off !
They are taught to "love" us like wimps , with no authority at all.
They have just embraced the female role , submissive , passive ..*
      It is scary.
They are taught by so many religious nuts that they have to do the house chores and if they don't , they don't "love" their wives and don't "serve" them.
What a lie ! Men doing feminine things is so unattractive ! We just scorn those men.
      What a disgrace !
You apparently have no idea how the female psyche works.
Women don't expect men to serve them. That is not how the female psyche works.
When those unbiblical nuts tell men (in sexual matters) to put their wife's desires before themselves , they really have no idea how our psyche works.Or they do it purposely in order to ruin marriage and be able to write more oïl sanke books that will never fix anything.
They have it all wrong . We women are aroused by a man who puts HIS desires first and we naturally respond to them.
Not a wimp who is taught to "serve" us even in the marriage bed !!
We crave men who say like GOD said to Israel , his bride(in Ezekiel if I'm not mistaken) : I want MY pleasure in you .
To learn more about the female psyche , I just suggest you consider all the women who succumbed for Fifty Shades of Grey ...Christian Grey , the great turn on who says I want not what do you want .
Ok , this book is not Christian ..but it speaks volumes .

A Husband's duty is to love his wife (Eph 5:25), make her happy (Deut 24:5) and make her more Christ-like (Eph 5:26) and ultimately, if necessary, die for her (Eph 5:25). If you think that you can love someone without serving them then you haven't figured out love yet.

You are right. This is absolutely wrong and devilish since it just puts the right divine order (woman made for man and not man made for woman) upside down.
Christ does NOT serve his church ! It is his church that serves him. The hersy of servant leadership applied to marriage is recent and has led to the breakdown of countless Christian marriages.
This "servant leadership" thing was told by Christ to MEN appointed to lead the flock. Not to marriage !!!!
If anything , it is the wife who must serve , if we may say so, the husband because the woman was made FOR man . Notice that the Bible always insists on the duties of wives ' Titus 2/4 and how the word of God is maligned if they are not obeyed.
You never find such a thing for husbands.
Churchianity is NOT driven by the Holy Spirit but a pagan spirit of female worship which is from the earth , carnal , devilish.
The first man who "served" his wife was ADAM . He did what she told him to do . It was the end of paradise and the beginning of hell... For the whole planet.

Matt Chandlers premise in the beginning is a bit of a paradox. He starts with "I am primarily provoked by the spirit, don' get offended ladies, by our men!" Even when calling out men, he is still desperately pandering to women. Christian men as a whole are one of the most emasculated groups of men right after boys raised by single mothers. There are a few reasons for it, but Matt Chandler at this point is still trying to be politically correct on the issue. Emasculation of men starts in childhood and its done primarily by women, the sooner men stop pandering to women when trying to fix these issues the sooner there will be change. Men have allowed women to define manhood for too long, it does not work that way.

  • @patriciaannnimaonaigh1936

a lot of people (including MC) have missed the point.
The life of Jesus did not go: "born, childhood, learning, got job, got married, got house, spent every possible free minute (not employed making money and not in synagogue one morning a week) at home with wifey and kiddos, died".
There is life beyond the family.
There is a certain section of the "church" which is so "familied-up" (having a tunnel vision about the home and family, to the exclusion of being concerned about neighbours, friends, neighbourhood, country, international matters, never mind involved in anything outside the home and family) that they would be completely unrecognisable to Paul and the disciples who spread the gospel. Jesus did not say "go, marry and breed disciples in your families only" he said "go, and make disciples, baptising them....."etc). I fear that there are many people who are religiously seen once a week doing the waving your hands in the air to a rock band and saying "Lord, Lord" routine, but the way they hide behind the home front door 6.5 days a week is a good indication of how likely Jesus will say "get away. I do not know you".
There is more to Christian life than "staying home with the family".
If your "pastor" is only interested in staying home with the family, he is like one of those bad shepherds who neglect the flock, he is lazy. But we are not called to follow "pastor XYZ" we are called to follow Jesus. And he was not famous for "staying home with the family every minute he wasn't doing carpentry to buy things for the home".
A lot of people need to get rid of their TVs, because TVs exist mainly to sell advertising for consumer goods and services designed to make money out of people who do nothing but staying home with the family. The de facto religion of these people is not "Christianity" it is "familidolatry" because they have made an idol of the family. Advertisers sell them images of "the ideal home" (always a few $ out of reach, to make you dissatisfied and buy more product), and make sure that if you were not that boring and blinkered already, you soon will be, because you won't get information about much else. They will brainwash you into "familidolatry" (of which their promoted product is such an essential part, if you believe everything you see on TV) by starving you of any alternative ideas. Be wise to their agenda.

      The truth is NOT preached.
It was the woman who was made for and because of man but those "sermons" make people believe it is the reverse.
Strange that when women were told their duties with no compromize , marriages were strong , right ? Who could deny it ?
You know why ? Because men are easier to satisfy than we are. Once you start to tell a man what he has to do for his wife , this can go on for ever , the list never ends !!!
A man will tell you that what he expects from his wife is good meals , a nice home with peace , and regular sex.
As curious as it may seem ( but then you see that it really comes from the Lord) , there is a passage in the OT where God let women expect three things from a husband : food , shelter and sex !!!
      As simple as that.
God is straightforward . But we women tend to want more and more and never be satisfied with what we have.
Once the church started to focus on male to female duties (I don't know when that happened ) , it just set up tons of marriages for failure.
That is why you have all those dumb marriage counselings now , which never fix anything . All those uninspired sermons which never repair all the evil done by false preachings to Christianity.
And since "Christians" are often too lazy to open a Bible and check out like Berean Christians used to do , you get that garbage.
More and more henpecking will only make things worse.
