- Over many decades music has played a crucial role in facilitating creative exchange of ideas, thoughts and stories between the two physically separated communities of Tibetans inside Tibet and Tibetans in exile. This is reflected in the many endearing songs from the 80s and 90s sung by Tibetan singers from both sides of the border.
This episode of Live from Dharamshala is our effort to pay tribute to such songs and their respective creators.

Wonderful played.. hope many more younger generations will come forward to play instruments particularly guitar.. In our exiled community we have great voice and great Drayang player and very good lyrics.. if anyone reading my comments and really wanted to learn Guitar.. first listen Mr Marknofler ex dire street band he was main vocal and guitarist. Pink Floyd .. eagles chilly pepper guitarist And god of guitar Mr Jimi.. after listening to their song for almost two decade and still learning how to play guitar I conclude that I must learn CAGED system on the guitar.. Pentatonic is not enough to write melodic solo and fills.. one must learn cord tone.. appregio and major scale minor scale 7th cord.. pls don’t take me wrong hope.. this is where we need to improve our music...it was wonderful set and wonderful artist and always be JJI fans losar Tashi delek

This is what I called real talent, true artis!! I am tired and annoyed of hearing "keyboard composed" , bollywood influence kinda tibetan cheap music. I was bit worried that if we are going to have any authentic true musician in exile. Now I am relife that I can see some real talented artist who can play their own instrument and sing beautifully. thank you thank you..

Honest critic: all the singers seemed uncomfortable. I myself been in bands for 8 years from school to college and I got de ja vu after watching this - when the chemistry is not working. Not sure how they were managing without feed back? Humming part in first song is out of timing and tune which could have been easily fixed whilst mixing. Hope these add value to your next episode. Best wishes.
