The brush is useless, as is the compressor. Some particles blow off, others apply. The only way - sticks (swab) with a lint-free narrow tip and distilled water. But there are difficulties - in order to clean the glass under the green matrix need to push the stick into a very narrow slit, it touches the edge of the glass and metal and cut off the fabric particles. In other words, only pure luck helps.

Don't use regular compressed air... They can easily spit out oily residue, from the piston's lubrication oil...

DO NOT use a compressor to clean optics! If you really need to, use canned air. Compressed air from compressors contain water and oil, even with a filter attached. Secondly, if you use compressed air on lens, you're likely going to push dust inside the lens itself. Use a camel brush (not just a brush!) and canned air only when possible.

Se puede utilizar compresor, siempre que este en su salida tenga una trampa de agua, para evitar que el aire salga mezclado con particulas de agua o aceite.

The optical filter can be damaged if you touch it with a brush.

Ariel, I have to disagree. There will be also water and oil even with the filters - unless they are very fine filters, not the ones you normally find on compressors. The compressor we use where I work has a filter which is as big as the compressor itself!
Only use canned air suitable for the job, please.

If you are using an air compressor, be careful. I've been using it for years. It's never a problem.

Hey! How do you clean the polarizing filter? They are very delicate and every touch causes scratches; (

It's not possible. Not every filter scratch it when you touching it, it's mostly the blue filter

You can use the compressor, but reduce the air pressure.
