it has been awesome watching your journey with Tool. It's refreshing to see someone truly appreciate the greatness and uniqueness of this band. the Tool God's are pleased
Been listening to tool for nearly 20 years & still haven't decided on a favorite tool song. Every time I think I have a #1 picked I connect with another song at a different level. There is just something in their music & lyrics that can open your mind and leaves you feeling changed. After all this time it's literally the only band that I still listen to on a regular basis. That said, they need to get another album out soon so I can die in peace
I gave up trying to choose a favorite song a long time ago. Can't be done. I'm 71 and a 15-year fan and I still marvel at the fact that it is only 4 people creating these sounds.

You basically summed them up. Tool is a collaboration of some of the greatest artists at their particular instrument, combined with the song writing genius of Maynard and capped off with his unique lyrical delivery. There is no other band like Tool. There may never be.
Tool is exactly that. A tool to use in situation in life to help bring a deeper understanding of yourself. Tool has helped me in sooo many ways. I can apply each song in many different ways.
Your face says it all Preston! I love how you get lost in each of Tool's masterpieces. Your anticipation for the signature changes and the introduction of new sounds...it just makes me smile!! You asked who writes these lyrics...MJK does most of the writing. The man is a genius. I still would for you to react to "the Remedy" by his other band Puscifer. You'll trip!

I'm surprised that you haven't wanted to pick up playing bass after listening to Tool. When you see them live, you're going to be STUNNED at how many of the things you're hearing in their songs are the bass player.
Agree with that statement. However I usually play disposition on its own because I find it incredibly relaxing. Reflection as a song though is the strongest of the 3 for sure.

I noticed your face and eyes were concentrated, absorbing the music In conjunction with you contemplating the lyrics. Preston, this is a beautiful video and I wish you good health, success and longevity.
So happy that you finally found this! This song to me is what epitomizes the soul of Tool as a band. Go back, turn off the lights, close your eyes and take another listen....
Tool is one of the last few artists left. They make new music. Over 90% of today's music is just copying what others have done before that was successful. They just want a 3 minute catchy tune to get rich. Imagine if every artist just painted versions of the Mona Lisa. That is what has happened to most current musicians.
Brios This is probably why many bands are so successfully bad because of a constant demand that even the creativity cannot respond .... music for masses !!!
Definitely the best thing to happen to music by farrrrrrr!!!!!! Gotta do Lost Keys/ Rosetta Stoned together back to back.....it’s a trip 👽👽👽 or do Triad.

I've seen some of your Tool reaction videos and have already subscribed. Your reactions are genuine and interesting. Tool's sound is like no other band out there which makes them stand out from the crowd. The good thing is you can listen to the same song many times over and chances are you would listen to new sounds on repeated listens. Lots of depth to their music. Meticulous musicianship! Cheers.

For a great instrumental by tool I recommend Tool - Disposition, it always calms me down and is so comforting. I almost forgot to mention Triad as well, one of my favorite instrumentals by Tool
Bro, I happened along this channel by chance, and it's become my favorite reaction channel of all time. I love your positivity, your appreciation of music, and although I'm biased as Tool is my favorite band of all time (at nearly 40 years old, I've been following them since their original EP and nothing has spoken to me more as an artist), I can honestly say that I've never come across another band that has inspired so much creativity, passion, introspection, and healing than Tool has in my life. Keep up the amazing work, and please do a video on Tool's "The Grudge" and, for something completely different, take a listen to Pale Horse's (the original bass player from Tool, Paul D'amour 's band) song "Intercession." Very curious to hear your thoughts.
Not really. Reflection is the climax of those 3 songs. I usually listen the whole album through. But Reflection alone is a work of art. 11 mins of greatness.
Watching you live through Tool is like reliving the experiences myself. They have been a favorite, I'm sorry, the favorite band of mine since the 90's, OGT 4 Life! I live literally every song of theirs. There truly isn't a bad one. This all makes me so happy, for you, to experience the enlightenment that is Tool.
I really love watching Preston listen to and enjoy TOOL, but dude - you need to listen to Lateralus again with your earphones on (because if you do - that would become your #1...well, at least your top 3! :) ).
KTF! You have to do Tool - Lost Keys (Blame Hoffman) / Rosetta Stoned (They're essentially one song. The first track leads into the other, and they should be listened to together)
You have earned my respect man. And another subscriber. I have watched you react to all kinds of groups, but your appreciation for Tool is awesome. Hoooollld oooonnn bruh. You're good with me Preston.
I just discovered your channel and I'm really enjoying your Tool reaction videos. This is probably the apex of the best band to ever make music! Keep up the good work man..
Something tool does in concerts is to play these long instrumentals to meditate the crowd before they take the stage. They are so different because individually they use their instruments as it's own contribution. Often times you'll hear that 3 of them all play different timing rhythms at the same time.. Maynard's voice is his instrument. Together they make a symphony. The more you listen to them, the more you realize that all the music from all the albums are very spiritually enlightened
I highly suggest for live versions of Maynard and bands you listen to PUSH IT SALIVAL version or Momma Sed by Puscifer live version. Edit: Momma Sed off the album "What is..."
My man... You've become one of my favorites to watch. I grew up listening to all this and a lot of the grunge and metal you've listened to, so it's refreshing to see someone appreciate it like you have. I've always said that Tool is Maynard's intellectual and spiritual side reflecting outward and A Perfect Circle is more in tuned with his primal and emotional side. Hope you do more of APC and Deftones as they're two of my favorite bands. Much love brother.
Faith No More my friend....we all keep telling you that you are missing out on one of the greatest voices of the late 80's and 90' and still to this day! Plus how can people down vote this video? I mean really?
I’ve seen this band twice. It was a religious experience. I see them play a show in Richmond Va. the opening band was called Melt Banana. During the middle of Lateralus the drummer from Melt Banana came out and proceeded to have a drum off with this drummer. BEST SHOW EVER!
A band called tomahawk got booed off stage the first time I saw Tool in 2002. Danny Carey tried to save their set by coming out and playing a song and that didn't work. Opening bands have a history of getting shit on opening for Tool 😂 you better be really fucking good ain't nobody there for sub par bullshit lol

Ive been a hardcore fan for 25 years and almost forgot about this one! This song is the shit! The different layers, textures, time signatures, and grooves on top of each other are so bad ass.....then add in Maynard’s vocals! Magical. So fucking sick! Love it. Keep it up bro. Your channel is growing fast because your reactions are genuine and we can tell yuh sincerely love e the music!!!
I love you reaction bruh! This is my favorite Tool song and it continues to give me goose bumps to this day (I had the CD day one and listened to it straight before doing anything else). Such a great ride and almost "life changing" in a way....keep up the awesome videos!
Also, even after listening to tool for 20+ years, I still get the same feeling you get from the first listening as I do from the hundredth. It’s beautiful and perfect for what it is, a “core life, musical” experience. Other musical experiences are just as amazing and important to my life, but tool cannot be replaced at the core.
Saw Tool in Orlando back in 01, and that show was the best thing I've seen live to this day. The energy, the sound, the stage. They had the sand people from their music videos dangling from the ceiling

I highly suggest for live versions of Maynard and bands you listen to PUSH IT SALIVAL version or Momma Sed by Puscifer live version.
Edit: Momma Sed off the album "What is..."
Their altered version of Push It off of Salival is amazing. I really love You Lied and No Quarter also
Momma Sed live is so good!
Looks like no one has done a reaction to Momma Sed the live version yet. He might be the first to do so.
Saw that gap again today...
Epic. Magic. This song is transcendental. I loooooooove that you are falling in love with this band. Nobody in the universe like Tool 🖤
Blair Bowers I thought the same thing.
For sure
Melt Banana!!! They rule. Great Japanese band.
Caught Melt Banana at a small club show opening for Torche. They were amazingly weird and insane.
The drummer from the Melvins originally did that! They used to open for Tool a lot!
@@brandonhinrichs8657 Orlando? Or was it Daytona?
Edit: IT WAS DAYTONA! My beautiful wife found the tickets. $38.50 was the cost at the Ocean Center. Good times!!!
Thank you for finally doing thus song! It's been one of my all-time favorites since this album came out. Now you need Lost Keys n Rosetta Stoned together, also Intolerance from Undertow.
Thank you for reacting to my favorite TOOL song. Their ability is very understated in music. Happy New Year
React to Stinkfist by Tool!!!
He did...but it was taken down for some reason.
Try to hear The Prodigy "Breathe","Voodoo People","Firestarter" ,"Their Law".The Prodigy sounds very different.
Yep been pushing this in his vids. The Prodigy is definitely different and I bet Preston would love it.
Smack My Bitch Up is such a great song & video
Hell yeah!!
DIESEL POWER
This song is EPIC... I´ve been playing this bassline for 17 years now... never fails me...
Deftones - Change
Yes.
As much as I want you to do tool videos, a little part in me is begging you to check out Anesthetize by Porcupine Tree (Live in Tilburg). Steven Wilson is another musical genius. Thanks, Preston.
02:58 That sarangi solo got you! "Hold on, bro" is hilarious! :D
Tool always inspires the soul. If you are interested in one of the most godly guitar performances, triad is what you seek. Tool, triad. Hope you get to it soon.
Gojira - The Heaviest Matter of the Universe!!!!!!
Yep, this ^^^^
Yeah. Maybe a little too heavy for KTF tho dude lol
So far, he has done one reaction to Gojira. It was 'The Gift of Guilt'
I'm not sure he's ready for that monster of a track.....could definitely be wrong though. I hope he reacts to it.
Me too..👍
Jinjer - Pisces Live Session
Tool. Greatest band ever. I love seeing peoples first reactions to their genius.
You're right on everything you said on your ending statement!! TOOL is life. TOOL is music. TOOL IS EVERYTHING!!!
You haven't reacted to Rush yet?? Hold on bruh!!!!!
Might I suggest Rush - La Villa Strangiato
Karl McQuaide yessssss, I’m patiently waiting for his first Rush reaction. I have requested it to him.
@@battlecry51501 Natural Science (studio version) and Xanadu from the Exit... Stage Left Video would be my suggestions
Suggest a song with lyrics. Preston appreciates deep songwriting.
Witchhunt or something else, then instrumentals.
Rush - Tom Sawyer !!
Next Tool song you need to check out....The Grudge
The Cranberries .. Zombie
Deftones .. Change
Chevelle .. Comfortable Liar
Omygosh you haven't done THE GRUDGE BY TOOL YET!! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR???
Yeah amazing
Also, even after listening to tool for 20+ years, I still get the same feeling you get from the first listening as I do from the hundredth. It’s beautiful and perfect for what it is, a “core life, musical” experience. Other musical experiences are just as amazing and important to my life, but tool cannot be replaced at the core.
Saw Tool in Orlando back in 01, and that show was the best thing I've seen live to this day. The energy, the sound, the stage. They had the sand people from their music videos dangling from the ceiling
I also think you’re ready for Rosetta Stoned.
