Jim deserves every ounce of success that he’s earned.
For real!
So true!
I'm 40 years old. This guy has entertained me since I was 11. Hats off "overacter".
Cokie Hex same age as you and I agree, he’s a fantastic entertainer. I’ve been going back to revisit a lot of his movies recently. A pleasure to see them again. It didn’t get good reviews at the time but I love the Cable Guy. Underrated.
i remember that outtake from Liar Liar. I remember running home after to watch my Ace Ventura VHS that Aladin lol the good ol days
Jessabell!
One of the best over-actors of all time and it worked for the absurdist comedies he was in. When he wanted to be subdued like in “eternal sunshine” he was spectacular
First saw him as a kid on In Living Color. in the 90's. Every Sunday on Fox. He was my favorite sketch artist.
He deserved an Oscar for Eternal Sunshine.
i hate it when people say they don't like jim carrey films...and they've only seen dumb and dumber and ace ventura. the guy has huge range as an actor.
The "Truman Show" is a perfect example of his excellent acting skills. The part where he knocks on the fake sky after he wrecks his boat into it, good shit...
Robert Hirsch truman show was great
How many movies must we see before we can decide if we like or dislike an actor?
Your joking right?
Only seen him in low-ball comedies where does the huge range come from?
I love that he disagreed with Howard that its a "sad" story. That to me means he acknowledges it and decided to look upon it with optimism.
"The darkness helps us all to shine" Brilliant human being ✨
Jim should make a movie about it were he plays his dad and how they were janitors. Im thinking it would be kinda like Will Smith's movie The Pursuit of Happyness.
He was a janitor in the school he was going to in the day.
zerocool1ist You mean Happiness
zerocool1ist happinest
Nobel Thought !
But Pursuit of Happiness was based on the life of Mr Gardener and not Will Smith per se
"Messed up childhood", is a relative term... he had loving parents, and that can count for so much more than having relatively affluent parents, who are cold or detached. Howard, it's not for anyone to define another's reality, anyway. we did not live it.
Jim Carey is a fucking legend. He just burned out for awhile but he's fucking great I'll always watch him
What a guy, I’ve loved him since I was a child but I never knew his story.
I was born in 2003, it's crazy how many films and performances he has had in the last 16 years and way before it.
dude was poor af, but he wouldn't let u kno. He'd make it a joke, and thus is life...
I like how Stern tried to put his parents under the bus. Jim had no part of that.
Cleaning up shit in sinks, singing and dreaming lol. Jim Carrey is a true inspiration
Some fathers beat their kids. Some fathers sexual abuse their kids. Some fathers drink and blame their kids. Some fathers leave their kids.
His father stayed with him and taught him humility. His father did whatever it took to make sure his son came out a good man. His father is what I wish my father was. I'd live in a car too to have my dad in my life.
Jim is a shinning light in this world and I thank his father for being there for him. Great Job Dad.
Such a beautiful and realistic message! 👍❤
may I add, well put indeed!
word
Very sensible comment, and I hope you have healed from the father issues you’ve had.
May I add, a pat on Jim’s Mum’s back for staying with the family and not fleeing when times got tough. That’s a good Mum/wife right there.
Jim you made many children laugh in Argentina with your robotnik performance
fuck you
This guy has made some of the funniest movies i’ve ever seen. His rubber-like face just allows him to do or act like anything
god i love this guy. such a classy down to earth guy and everyone loves him
I love Jim so much! He's just naturally hilarious and I believe that he's a really good man too 😊
It's weird being this early to a 17 year old video that was just uploaded
Right!
I can listen to his voice like forever. It's just so calming and entertaining and makes me feel safe and at home somehow (I mean no wonder I grew up with this man as my childhood hero).
I don't know why but Jim Carrey is in my dreams often.
Overactive and very lucky imagination
According to the work of Jung, a reoccurring Jim Carrey must represent an archetype for you. An unconscious (or partially conscious) idea about yourself or the situation you are in. I suggest you write them down and then you can come back to them later and look for a correlation between the different dream scenarios where Jim shows up.
one of the greats for me....
I've always LOVED this interview- could you guys upload the entire thing? Thanks so much!
Same!
The Truman Show is one hell of a piece of cinema. And Jim's performance still astounds me.
He is absolutely the funniest when he does the Juiceman on In Living Color.
I saw Jim at the Comedy Club in Santa Monica, California, before he started the show "In Living Color." He was on for about 15 minutes, and I remember laughing so hard. He can contort his body in unnatural ways.
I could listen to Jim Carrey all day! The man always makes me laugh 😁
Jim is such a wonderful and unique human being. Thanks for uploading this, always nice to hear his interviews from past or present, always a blast.
We live in The Truman Show.
YeAh and this guy is miserable on that satan shii
Fuck yeah.
He is one of the greatest comedians.
I love at 2:22 how he says “but I was singin and I was dreamin” so funny haha
Had the pleasure of meeting him once. I grew up pretty close to his home town too.
I cleaned shitters too...
That means there are great things on the horizon for you!
Such a great optimistic attitude. I need more people lile that. Postitive influences, we all need!!!
"pitched a tent on my sister's lawn" ;)
scott12at lol cmon man, I didn’t need to think about incest 🤣
😁😁
Gigitty
i fucking love jim carrey. Obviously the guy has demons but he shrugs them off, he's above them now, not letting his past control how he wants to feel, happy.
if jim was in my movie i will let him do what ever he wants
Just binge watching this show
One of the funniest comedians on the planet, Jim Carrey is!!! I grew up like you, poor but made it out of poverty. Your rubber faces are classic and love your satirical art work of all the assinine politicians, too.
Jim had nothing to lose thats why he became so successful , the guy is raw talent that can't be stopped
What don't kill you makes you strong.
Except disease or mental illness.
Damn, Jim Carrey looks 31 but he was acually 41 and now he looks 40 this man ages very slowly and i love it.
Rutilio Perez No he definitely looks his age in 2020. But for a long time he didn’t really age that much. This interview was in 2003.
Sunshine of a spotless mind is one of the best movies I've seen, but I've only seen it once.
Most normal and enjoyable interview I’ve ever seen with J C, I normally find him sooooo exhausting!!
I traveled a lot as a kid and my mom was a gypsy with the military man... When I had kids I seen today didn't travel like. They had one hell of a good life!!
I was going to say Eternal Sunshine is a modern classic, then realised it's nearly two decades old.
He is a great actor. Very underrated as a character actor.
This dude is the best physical comedic actor to ever exist. He doesn't get the credit for the amount of quirky and funny things he can do with his face, body and voice.
So good
He was so funny in “In Living Colour” ... must have been hard being the “token white guy” 😂
Jim Carrey is still cool. I'm always looking good.
He jokes about it but if you read into Jim Carrey he really did come from about as low as a person can come from and now he's literally the definition of a good time
Always a fan.
Incredible
When Jim Carrey was rocking long hair and would pass as Hugh Jackman. Heck now he could pass as his twin.
Jim is really enjoying this
I don't think Jim's impoverished Childhood was sad at all. After all of the struggles, he still felt his Dad was Cool. Better than coming from an Affluent childhood and feeling like your Dad's was an A-hole!
Love this guy!
Jim's a Gamer, no keeping Jim down.
a la Howard.
a la Robin.
a la Fred, Gary -
They're hung in for DECADES (through everything' per all of the
strength, character, courage Robin's displayed)
.
Love jim carrey 💜
love ya, Jim. The GOAT
Jim and Andy Kaufman have the same birthday he was really born to play him
Love Jim
2 great guys.
It was the Eternal Sunshine time!
God bless you jim
He's just the best.
This the meanest podcast I ever seen... 😢
Like the guy more as he ages. Very thoughtful. I would not have guessed.
Anyone know where I can get the full interview? It used to be on CZcams years ago
Anyone got the full podcast link?
Without his 'schtick', Howard would not have had the career that he has had. Carrey is sitting on top of the world, and can handle Howard!
He's my hero
Robin. My love.
I don't know why but iv always looked at Jim Carey and felt like he's a tortured soul. I hope I'm wrong but it always seemed to me like hel pass away too young
easily my favorite actor of all time. my life is just this fucked up competition between eternal sunshine and dumb and dumber over which gets watched more.
i love jim
I like how Carrey references playing Charlie Kaufman in Man Over The Moon and then the Stern Show puts up an image of Eternal Sunshine. I'm blaming JD.
Jim Carrey 👍🤛 ✊ 🤜👍
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Carrey killed it here
Where's the full interview?
I start laughing when he walks on stage.
Jim, Shania and many of us born in Ontario, Canada had a lot of poverty to deal with. Money was always an issue and very few could make it. Families were large and jobs were very difficult to be had by most. Canada was far from being the place to start your life.
It's better now I imagine, right?
He is really one of the guys I thought would be gone by now. The way of Robin Williams RIP. But it seems his childhood and positive outlook on "bad" experiences, probably thanks to therapy, have made him plenty strong to handle life better than most. He's less of a sad clown than I originally thought.
They have similar voices
You’re just now releasing this..?
Fred with the tapes faster than anyone with a computer.
I think with the research on the guests, he has some audio prepared for certain parts where Howard will bring up.
Greatness comes from struggle.....almost always
Well, not always but it often does.
@@youreallygotmenow4855 thats why I said almost 😉
Howard is the best interviewer ever.
Welcome to 2003 my friends (:
Jim
Jim Carrey is a wonderful person
Right on!
The only man who people listen to when talking out of his ass.
The lack of comments down here scares me
I bet he will be a guest this week
His showtime series is pretty good. Maybe he'll paint a picture of your shitty comment!
Being homeless then was an adventure....now: hell:(
He's so different now
True nowadays he is always exaggerating and playing a character
It's pretty cool how he went from janitor to celebrate.
Why the hell does Howard Stern keep on talking over the top of him?? Let the man speak. Also, Howard trying to get the emotional response from Jim over the "tragic upbringing" and Jim eventually knocking him down with positivity - good on you Jim, Howard can be a poor interviewer at times, this is one of those times...
So the movie Parasite, is based on Jim Carrey's live.
I love Jim Carrey but I couldn't get into The Majestic.
